Anyone remember how Division lost 73% of the player base in the first 2 months it reased and how the price of the base game dropped 3 times. Then when y2 came around they the base game ended up free with both the first 2 expansions half off? Whoops, my bad. That was D2. None of that happed with D1.

Destiny is already dead. But hey, no worries, here is Destiny 3, you can earn and pay for all of the same exotics for a 3rd time... I mean, sure why not.... lets earn “Last Word” “Ace” “whisper” ect.... for a 3rd time. Oh joy

I dont know about that seems pretty alive to me, last i checked people still play it.

Player base hovered at 650K for several days last week, and the average continues to dive. On average, it fluctuates 650-850K.... World wide? That’s not alive lol... Forsaken peak was 3 million, well below launch. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be buying or playing anthem. I loved destiny, but Black Armory and this whole season pass thing is the end... They aren’t making any money off anything anymore and no one is purchasing the season pass nor the game. The only people playing are the ones who bought the season pass (myself included) and are holding out hope it gets better.... Black Armory and the season pass concept will for ever be known as the worst pile of garbage they ever put out.

You cant really compare a concurrent playerbase to a peak.. also not everyone wants a games as service style dlc like the annual pass so im not shocked that the playerbase is lower, i told a bunch of my friends not to get it and just pick it up mid penumbra so it feels like a big dlc for them. I mean look at any games numbers between dlcs they always dip and seeing as though the annual pass is all about endgame and not story campaign stuffs a good amount of people are just gonna skip it until the next comet dlc/d3 which ever happens next.

Well a failed destiny killer seemingly got more love and support from its developers In the first couple weeks then destiny did in a year
-
Yet it still failed...
-
Yep, as did destiny And warframe to an extent
-
How did destiny fail to kill destiny?
-
Each release we see a peletheara of new problems which send a large amount of people off to play something else. Its close to killing itself but cant pull the final trigger
-
People playing other games isnt a bad thing, i do it all the time but i always find myself coming back to destiny because it just feels so god damn good. No other game has made shooting a gun feel this good. But also destiny failing to kill itself is a good thing you know that right. Also warframe is pretty much like fortnite to me, if i was 14 id probably live and breathe it but im an adult with the luxury of being able to buy games so the appeal of free to play is kinda lost on me
-
Its not the problem of people playing multiple games, it's when a significant proportion of a player base leaves in a short amount of time. Destiny patches a hole in me that i dont know what is yet, when i come to play it i feel like i could have gotten a better experience elsewhere And that stuff about free games, sorry but that just sounds stupid i could even go as far and say D2 was free at one point, does that make all the players children?
-
You feel that but can you actually get a better experience elsewhere? And what i mean to say is that those games being free is a huge selling point that i dont value. But if i didnt have money to spend on games i would be all about them. Hence why i said im an adult with the luxury of disposable income to spend on games, i know a good amount of people who dont have that luxury. Like i think warframe is amazing but having that f2p trope of having to wait to craft things sorta unintentionally killed it for me because i was waiting for something to craft and thought ill jump back on destiny and see whats up while i wait and i havent been back since. Sorta like when you put down an rpg for a while and try to go back in and have no idea what you were doing so you get a little put off by it.
