No -blam!- that i want Anthem to pisss all over destiny 2 and teach Bungie a lesson

What needs to happen is Bungie needs to go back to being Bungie and us gamers need to continue making it clear to companies like EA and Activision that the way they operate is not ok and needs to change so that gaming can start to get back to what it once was. If CoD, Halo, Destiny, Division, Anthem, Warframe, and dare I say it Fortnite can all have a really good 2019 and we start seeing at least one company start fixing themselves that would be serious step in the right direction. Otherwise the gaming industry will crash if companies continue operating the way they do. Investors want unreal numbers and the publishers expect devs to provide that in an unreal amount of time and its getting worse. Hence games screwing over the consumer in the end almost every time.

Im talking overall. Entire industry.
-
considering the companies making these games, i doubt any will be good

You mean EA making some shit game and Bungie further building on the Destiny universe without being held back by activision.
-
the problems with the game have nothing to do with activision.

Forced annualization and budget cuts affect the quality of content made in a game and often lead to micro transactions, just look at COD, because that’s what happened with destiny. Bungie wa a forced to do that stuff by their contract with activison, along with having to take blame for anything activison did to the game, like putting the guy who designed raids in charge of a whole game. Without activison, bungie can now actually put real time and effort into destiny, improving it in multiple ways. Activison did do some mucking with destiny, specifically causing things like eververse, the annualized dlc, the content droughts, the first two dlc (for both games) being cut content from the base game, the several story rewrites for the first destiny (for which the got bungie to take the blame) and the restart of the coding of D2 halfway through for the ironically named “tiger” engine which was better adapted for micro transactions. That’s about all I can find right now, but the point is Bungie got screwed by the contents of their contract which last I checked activison actually changed twice.
the mods are gay
