Did titans have the life sucked out of them?

I'm a titan main, ok. I always will be and because I prefer it so much I have a strong bias for them. I've sunk many hours into Destiny 1 and I can't help but feel like titans are just bland now. This could very easily be because I've just played that particular class for too long, but all the things I originally enjoyed about the titans seems to have just vanished. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy my titan, but I can't help but feel like they just don't do anything unique anymore. Maybe it's because of how similar the subclasses are, in terms of perks, but the class as a whole just feels lackluster or boring. Not saying titans are bad in any shape or form, just that they don't really interest me as much anymore. The things I liked about titans was the bubble. Bubble was a unique and an unbelievably useful super for any activity there was. Sentinel still has bubble, but it's watered down, and almost useless to use. "Its situational," yeah, but it only being useful for one very specific situation AT THE COST of my whole super makes it feel wasted as a perk. The fact that near nobody uses it supports how pointless it is to use. "But sentinels the only subclass in the game withb2 supers," yeah that is true, but both of them are lackluster in many ways because of it. Sentinel can't put out as a much ad control as striker or sunbreaker and has no good ways to deal dps. It can block, but blocking bullets when your own allies can break the shield really makes it useless. That's right, allied fire can break your shield or more quickly drain it's duration if accidentally shot at. The lift. I know a lot of people found titan skating unfair, and at times I totally agree, but there were beneficial uses to it that allowed the class to fully utilize it's more melee focused style and titans losing it ultimately makes them harder to utilize their abilities to their best potential. I'm not saying they should add it in now, but if bungie ever tries to get the game back to Destiny 1 levels, it has to come back, otherwise the titans in both pve and PvP, will have no good way of getting in or getting out of combat. People call them tanks, but I actually disagree with that ideology. They are more like shock troopers. They are designed to either hold out an area or go in guns blazing. Even Fabian strategy, the titan exclusive exotic, paired with the shotgun, fully expresses this idea. You either defend, or go in and take out everything you can before dying, and isn't that how titans act, in both super and out of It? We're not tanks, were suicide soldiers, designed to die trying and try and again, and again. The melee. The melee isn't particularly bad, I just don't think it's good. In pve, titans have such risky melee that sometimes offer no reward or even death for doing so. They tried to counteract this by adding in health regen perks for titans, except in pve these perks become near pointless in endgame activities. Sunbreaker's is fine because you don't need to kill with melee (not that the charged melee could kill anyways) and you can use any ability. Cauterize, or whatever it's called in Destiny 2, is probably the single best perk titans have. Even double grenade I wouldn't consider as good as cauterize, not even close. So what does this leave for our more melee oriented class? Our melees lose nearly all effectiveness in terms of raw power in more endgame activities, so then we have the opposite skill trees that don't have melee that deal extra damage, and you are just left with a bad mix and match of both. Lacking melee power, lacking melee perks. In crucible, these perks and melees are more effective, but that's the only thing I can really say about them. Melee is weak in PvP, so those perks are clunkier to use. I'm not necessarily saying bungie needs to give us all these things back, but by bungie taking them away, a lot of their power and uniqueness have disappeared because of it. What are they good at besides supporting their allies with a barricade or throwing some good hammers? In crucible they are more like not good, but definitely not bad, but rather a middle ground where a good player can make it work but ultimately lacks properly utility for crucible itself. And that's ok, titans weren't designed to be effective in crucible. They are almost solely pve focused with how they are designed. And I like it like that, but I still can't help but feel that now they are just lacking as a whole. They lack the tools that used to make them effective to use in ways the other classes weren't. Sorry about the long post. Just felt like getting my opinion out there. Quick question: Why doesn't code of the juggernaut...have juggernaut? Edit: Thank you for the support. It's nice to see I'm not the only one who feels this way about their classes...although I wish it didn't start a class war...
