go nuts over 3 weapons and 4 non-weapon non-armour items...
--
DISCLAIMER: Please read the whole post before if you're thinking of commenting reskins or comparing to D1's strike loot.
--
I mean I don't know what I was expecting (the D1 standard of 1 armour piece + 1 weapon per strike maybe...) but tbh I guess the standards are pretty low so these technically have visual variety/intrigue...
but 4 being exotic 'cosmetic' rewards? did they take those out of the eververse loot pool or s/t lmao...and what was done in the extra month and what was the state of rewards prior?
Well I may hop on for a run for the ToP strike loot when it's the nightfall...nothing else seems appealing.
--
I'm putting an edit here just in case - this data could be incomplete but as of now I haven't seen any additional info on this weeks nightfall loot that isn't what has been listed on the site, so either it's super skewed towards if there are hypothetical other items or there simply aren't.
--
I'm putting a second edit here as a general response to 'Ugh Reskins'. Destiny (1) did that same with weapons - they were all reskins. The Unique aspect of Strike Loot came from the Armour side of things - I honestly don't mind the 'reskins' on the Auto and HC, the 'base' models have been changed enough to have that visual interest Strike Weapons should have, they don't look like the standard stuff from other loot tables.
To put it in perspective - the Treads Upon Stars? That was just recoloured from the Cryptic Dragon model I believe hardly changed at all). Imago Loop was just a white Fatebringer, Grasp of Malok+ Darkblades Spire were Crota's End loot recoloured White. some of the new heroic strikes all had that one weapon (Devil's Dawn) as the weapon drop albeit with varying Armour pieces which were the uniquely modelled-after-strike-boss ones.
To put it simply - Bungie has always reused assets for Strike Weaponry (to the best of my knowledge).\
The disappointment from me comes from a lack of armour (and general disappointment of course) - where they shined and gave us unique Strike-Boss pieces, Hood of Malok, Mongrel Ogre Grasps, Psion Flayer Mantles, Omnigul Bond, Mark of the Undying Mind, Ma'auls Maulers, Darkblade Helm...and more that I don't remember off the top of my head. Some of these went on to be reused in assets (Tanik's Cloak) but I think I'm right in saying at the time of the loot release, most Armour pieces were totally unique.
Now I'm off to make a separate forum post in #feedback asking them to invest time in Armour pieces as strike loot, 1 per class (titan hunter warlock) type, per strike. I'd rather that over weapons because the fixed roll system doesn't make the weapons' visual flavour mean enough to use them over already established 'Meta' weaponry (in my humble opinion).

Изменено ([SiN]大き氷): 3/31/2018 1:38:58 PMI'm always going to be disappointed because the ideal for me is that strikes are treated as mini raids. Not to say I expected that here, what we got is reasonable considering they likely don't have many working on actual content. Besides that this wasn't a content update like the April update or AoT one was. Also wonder what complications they run into due to the nature of the game. One weapon is quite a bit of work already. They have to not only model and texture, but they have to make it functional with how the shader system works. Meaning that it has to also accept shaders in its own way, and the more unique the gun is the more work has to be spent there. Of course there's also functionality on a gameplay level, but I would imagine they can use existing code for that. It's only when they do something new that more work is added there. So when people ask for unique PvE stuff like the raid, they don't even have that set up for weapons. So it may not be as simple, and even then that stuff works for the Raid only they would have to go back and test more otherwise. In any case gear at a base level asks for quite a bit of work. All conjecture, but still it's a toss up. Especially if there's like 1 person working on it.

problem is #1 nightfall requires to find a group ! -> they should move those rewards to heroic strike ! tons of players waiting in queue to play those ! stupid Bungie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What happened to this: http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Hood_of_Malok

18 отв.Quit yer bitchin’. Bungo put in a solid 30 minutes re-skinning that crap for you!!
-
7 отв.They definitely overhyped it... I'm starting to think that Bungie doesn't think to deceive us in anything they do. I believe that THEY actually believe they're doing a good job (which is strangely worse than deception)
-
1 ответIf they needed a delay for 3 weapons and some cosmetics Just imagine how crappy the rewards were before Bungie is pretty indefensible at this point, if they go under no developer has deserved it more.
-
1 ответI don’t know why I was expecting something in the “omfg” category of weapons but again Bungie you don’t deliver. So disappointing please tell us that you guys have more waiting to be released.
-
So glad they didn’t tease us with this. I am so sick of sparrows, emblems and shaders!
-
The auto and hand cannon look cool, and rampage is always nice.
-
1 ответGood call on the delay instead of allowing an early preview. Delayed the salt. 3 weapons. 3..... .....Weapons

Изменено (Pippo): 3/28/2018 2:40:52 AMHoly shit this is disappointing. Thank you for the post. All those months, for... this? The weapons visuals are unappealing. The perks as well. There's accurized rounds on every weapon? Phew. Soulstealer's Claw from D1 was cool looking and could come with any perks. Baron's Ambition. Darkblade's Spite. Grasp of Malok. Mau'uals Maulers. Hood of Malok. Cloak of Taniks. Psion Flayer Mantles. Devil's Dawn. Imago Loop. The only thing a little bit interesting to me is that Auto Rifle. But it will have a hard time competing against Ghost Primus, The Doubt, Origin Story and Forward Path. I don't think I'll choose it over any of those. Sigh, it's like they lost their passion. Or everyone from D1 left Bungie. Oh well, back to D1 for another week. Looking forward to see this week's modifiers. As for D2, screw Brakion's last cluster-blam!- phase and that exclusive sniper. I wish there were more reasons to play, but currently I don't see any, except masterwork farming.

1 ответFebruary 22nd roadmap update: “while we really wanted to get Nightfall Strike Unique Weapons into your hands next week to coincide with Nightfall Scoring, it’s more important that each of those rewards live up to the difficulty it will take to earn them. They have to be super cool, so we’re giving the artists extra time to make sure they are... super cool.” You may not mind that the loot is again reskinned because “D1 did it” but that’s not the point nor is it relevant. The players were promised unique loot that was cool; so the community logically assumed it would be just that, unique. The fact that they highlighted that the loot was delayed in order to make it all the more special, only for recycled artistic assets to be used is, at best, misleading. At worst, it is another lie to add to bungie’s tally.

7 отв.Remember when they pushed this update back to make the Rewards more interesting and fleshed out; because I do and now I want to see what this would have looked like before they movdd it back.
-
18 отв.2 of my clan mates got the sniper rifle, I mean Legendary Shards tonight.
-
12 отв.Extremely disappointed. I'm glad they didn't show us all of the stuff like we asked. But all of this is shit. The weapons hardly relate to the strike at all. As for the accessories, the lore of the items might relate to the strike, but only the ghost shell and the ship resemble something towards that strike. Bungie, strike exclusives related to the boss of the strike. THE BOSS. You can't make a -blam!-in sparrow that's blue as shit and has no relation to the boss of the strike at all. You can't make a bland ass auto rifle that has nothing hive related on it for a -blam!-in hive strike. The only weapon that slightly resembles the enemy in that strike is the handcannon! And slapping a red legion logo or a 2 red stripes on a normal hand cannon is easy as shit! I honestly hope that maybe these weapons are just really good or something. But I'm betting that they aren't going to be.
-
2 отв.I am actually more disappointed than I've ever been with Destiny. Even though I knew they never properly give us what they say, for some reason I decided to believe they were actually giving us something new and I'm a fool for thinking so. I don't really care so much about the designs, but there isn't anything that makes them unique at all. They don't have a roll no other weapon will ever get, they don't appear to do anything different or unique, and on their comment about the loot...it doesn't exactly look unique to me, it's not bad, but the designs of the weapon don't even match the theme of the nightfall. And for the absolute last time, sparrows, ghosts, and ships are NOT loot, not in this game, not in Destiny 1, so stop trying to act like we want that garbage. It's insulting to see that as a reward when we don't actually even use them.
-
38 отв.Warframe reuses everything. Fortnite is the same map over and over... I don't see you people bitching about that...
-
3 отв.I got the sniper and it's pretty much stillpiercer (I mean I could care less) but for those of you who are curious
-
8 отв.Thank you! It's a shame really. Given it is Brakion this week here are two items they could have made which I would have bothered grinding for. Brakion Helmet...(Universal for all characters). Brakion's Arm...Linear Fusion Rifle. Wearing the armor and using the weapons of defeated foes in Destiny is one of the many rewarding feelings you can get.
-
2 отв.The sniper should have been a reward for the Arms dealer and looked like Bracus Zahn’s weapon (not just in colour alone) Pyramidion should have had a linear fusion rifle which looked Vexy. Lake of shadows could have had taken themed shotgun with a massive kick that would launch players off the map Etc etc. It’s becoming pretty clear I think that many of the assets at Bungie are being reassigned to either the May update (which will prob decide the future of the current title) or D3... Also the rather unimaginative perk list on these new weapons does not inspire me to grind for them - sorry Bungie. With Far Cry 5 out on the same day as you released this update - we all needed something far more enticing to drag us back.
-
Bungie should let us vote to see the rewards going into eververse for season 3.
-
38 отв.Now you know why they didn't want to give any information away before the update. :)
-
1 ответSo um,. Chris Barrett... This is strike one for you. So, what happened to the quote where the evil boss is destroyed, tumbles into a pile of bones and leaves behind... his ship? ...his ghost? ...his sparrow? (Or apparently his non exhistent sniper rifle) Really!?! Knockin' it outta the park slugger!
-
4 отв.I was going to boot up out of curiosity, but after your feedback I think I will pass. Sadly they have their money for those like myself who bought the DLC 1&2 season pass. So they don’t have to try very hard to try to appeal to what’s left of the fan base. The Fall update on the other hand, a point of no return in my book. Most people are not going to easily open up their wallet for another possibly bad experience. This time around, I’m going to play it safe and wait to if it’s worth my time and more importantly my money.
-
5 отв.Got to say I actually ran three prestige NF's back to back to back. Felt like the good ole days. At least one of us got the sniper. It's not possible to keep running it for a chance is it? probably not.
-
9 отв.15 strikes in d1 = 7 weapons and plenty of armor. 7 strikes in d2 = 3 guns and 4 cosmetics. I’m not gonna say that I’m not disappointed, but at least the amount of strikes to weapons ratio is roughly the same
