I have two Warlocks and a Titan. My two Warlocks are setup with different modded armor to compliment their differing Subclasses, which gives me two Warlocks with different play-styles.
If I want to participate in weekly Luminous Engrams with my second Warlock, I have to delete it and create a Hunter instead; I only know that because of a statement hidden on these forums, which I found on a Forbes article. There’s no in-game warning saying that I will be penalized for preferring one character class over another.
I don’t like the jumping mechanics of Hunters, and I shouldn’t lose out on the opportunity to earn weekly Powerful Gear because of my play-style preferences. Yet I am now considering deleting my second Warlock to create a Hunter for the hopes of earning weekly Powerful Gear, because those high level drops contain weapons that would help out my other Warlock and Titan. This is not how I want to play this game, but Bungie has given me little options. It’s beyond frustrating that there was no in-game warning before I created two Warlocks.

2 options: 1. Allow multiple of the same class characters get luminous engrams, and thus allowing 3 of the same class be the most effective way to level up 2. Keep as is and encourage players to have all three of the classes and not penalize them for enjoying variety. Option two appeases much more people than option one.

I have 1 Titan, 1, Hunter, and 1 Warlock, they all have 2 sets of armor thus, eliminating the need for 2 of the same class. Isn't having an inventory great?!
-
1 ответYou just wanted to basically cheat the system so you could level faster, that's your bad. I see nothing wrong with what bungie has done. I see absolutely no reason to have 2 of the same class. You can switch their abilities and equipment at anytime.
-
7 отв.I don't see how this is forced.... did they come to your house and hold your finger to the square button?? No. If you want to play 2 warlocks. PLAY 2 WARLOCKS.
-
2 отв.What do you mean warlocks with different play styles? You have all subclasses and can switch armor on one warlock, you're pretty much mad that you can't essentially cheat and double up to get light faster
-
lol keep crying you uncultured swine.
-
"play style"? More like you played yourself when you tried to cheese. Suck it up buttercup.
-
AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS GUY HAS TWO CHARACTER FOR DIFFERE T SUB CLASSES HAHAHAHGAGAGA I CAN SEE IT NOW HE LEAVES MID RAID TO CHANGE TO A DIFFERNT CLASS BRB GUYS I GOTTA SWITCH TO STORMCALLER REAL QUICK GIVE ME A FEW MINUTES HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAFDKRODXIDKSODJEOQOELNFOXNWNICOEBSKSO

Title is misleading. No one has a gun to your head. Import armour from other warlock. No reason to pigeon hole it to one subclass.
-
Having two Warlocks means you don't need the additional engrams. Everything you get from the first can transfer over to your second, whereas building a Hunter, just for the engrams, means that the gear you receive can only be used on your Hunter (except weapons, but they can be swapped from your Warlock anyway). So what's the point? You either make the Hunter for gear you don't need but want, or keep your Warlock and miss out on gear you want but don't need. Play the way you want, give the engram a pass, it's only there so that players who don't have more than one of a class can get the same leg up you're getting by having two warlocks. It's really a 'six of one' situation.
-
You say penalization and unfair, Bungie says diversification and proper utilization. Potato tomato?
-
I love all three classes so this isn't a problem for me
-
2 отв.It's not about how you wanna play. It's more about how destiny makes you play their way.
-
Thank you for posting. I had no idea and will be starting a third character soon. I was going to give Hunter a shot in D2, but I had two Titans and a Warlock in D1. At least if I decide to do that again now, I'll know the consequences.
-
4 отв.I got 3 warlocks 299 and up! No issues here!
-
I really don't see an issue with this. Yeah it's not as ideal as what we had in D1, but it hasn't really hindered my ability to gain good loot. Just last night I hit 305 and I only created my second hunter a week ago. Really what I want is diversity in my loot pool, I don't need everything to drop at max light. I have my second hunter so I get 2 chances to collect loot from the raid. Which, by the way, drop at or above your current light. D2 gives you more than enough opportunities to gain good loot. And before you say I am part of the problem here, I don't run 2 hunters to game the system. I just enjoy hunters. Their jumps are more accurate and more flexible than the Warlock (feels like I am just floating around) and Titan (did someone put butter on my shoes?).

1 ответI'm glad I read this. I just finished the 3rd subclass on my hunter and got the trophy and was about to delete him and make a second warlock. I love how Bungie says this is a great community game then says but play it the way we want you to. "You want to move quickly and ride a sparrow to get through the story? That's nice but too bad. Now get out there and walk so you can see what we did for you." "You like all the little changes we did in D1 like letting you choose armor or weapon when you rank up? Thank you but screw off. We're taking that out of the game so you can play the way we want you to." Everything is working as intended. And screw everybody that says you shouldn't have 2 of the same character. They can play however they want. It doesn't affect me. I (we) can play however I want.

7 отв.I’m opposite but similar. Two hunters and 1 Titan. I hate the Warlock jump (or lack there of) But the problem is the reward system geared against multiple characters. I HATE it.
-
Изменено (Holy Deuce): 9/29/2017 6:31:28 PMFully agree. I initially had 2 titans but quickly noticed that I would only get shit gear on my alt. Pretty sad that I had to delete my Titan and start up a Hunter just to get better loot....

2 отв.Bungies new philosophy when it comes to Destiny. "You play what we tell you to play" Rip all of the following choices Having duplicate characters Choosing Crucible game mode Choosing which strike to play Choosing weapon rolls Choosing Armor rolls Choosing to play PvP solo and still have fun Choosing to re-play missions Choosing vendor rewards
-
Изменено (joey big guns): 9/29/2017 6:12:33 PMOr ya know, suck it the f up. "Oh I have to work harder Bungie that's not fair. I want it on easy street and I want you to hand me everything."
-
Bruh you can legit transfer your armor over or when you start getting those high drops on your higher one transfer all the extras. Who cares... aside from that what is the fun of playing two locks? I'm a warlock main but playing a second one would just be redundant I might as well stay on the first...
-
6 отв.Изменено (The BEATDWN): 9/29/2017 4:24:09 PMWhile they should be more up front about it they're preventing the double drops which would in turn break the game for those two characters. Just make a hunter and learn to use it effectively. They're a great class. If everyone picked their class based on the way they jumped there wouldn't be any warlocks to speak of.
-
2 отв.By not playing 3 classes your missing out on a 3rd of the game and content. I’m glad they did it this way . “You don’t like the hunter jump” And here you have 2 warlocks ... ok buddy
-
4 отв.It's irrelevant anyways. They should limit the voices to one of each class. If you're not playing all three then whatever you're not playing will always have an advantage in you. How do you outplay a hunter if you don't know how to think like a hunter.
