I had no trouble destroying players 1v1 and got some double kills in the beta for D2. I read about all this team shooting BS like nobody gets assisted in Destiny. Strong opinions follow continue at your own risk...

Hand cannons are a 4 shot kill in D2. If you have one with 7 rounds, you're not getting a double kill on your own lol

3 отв."Exposed?" You don't seem to have proof that anything is false. I'd love video evidence of you doing the things you say you did. If you don't have any, I guess that means that the only false narrative here is yours.

15 отв.I did fine in the beta but it was the most boring modern PvP I ever played.
-
2 отв.Still besides the fact that 90% will teamshot anyway so you will at least get 9ne kill, but you'll be low or absolute as 3 more players teamshot you. Eventually it just gets annoying. Slow TTK, weak abilities, and 4v4 only will dry up the fun. Trying to make D2 "competitive" borderline ruined it and took away a lot of fun. Maybe Bungie should add a separate mode where TTK and abilities are more like D1. Anyway I still love Destiny, but as a casual player it gets annoying when a few streamers are pushing for D2 to be competitive and the game becomes, less fun.

91 отв.Изменено (Zero the Remnant): 8/5/2017 11:42:53 AMLets be blunt... Many people in general just cannot accept being bested. They cannot accept a loss. They cannot accept that somewhere there is someone that is better than them at ___. They cannot accept that they made a mistake or bad call. So they constantly make excuses. In D1 it was OP Weapons, then it became OP abilities, then OHK Weapons, now its OP abilities again. In D2 it's Team Shooting. I mean, I don't even PVP anymore but isn't THE VERY POINT OF A TEAM TO WORK TOGETHER?! Note, many crying over teamshooting, complain no one works as a team in D1 & feels folks should play objectives & stop being lone wolves. I just ignore it now. I wish Bungie had done the same...maybe then D2's loadouts wouldn't be so unfun/uninteresting for me. Folks complained Shotguns OHK them when they are in shotgun range, that snipers OHK them when shot in the head... I mean...isn't that the point? I digress. Even if Bungie made D2 pvp 8v8 or 12v12 folks would find some new thing to complain about. You (generalization) lost a damn firefight/duel/match. Accept it. Edit: Fixed my typos.

1 ответNot an either-or situation. The long TTK in Destiny 2 rewards team-shooting....and the absence of OHK weapons and how long it takes abilities to recharge makes it very difficult to break up team shooing unless you are team shooting yourself. Because----unless there is a major skill gap between you and your opponent----you just aren't going to go into a primary gun fight where you're outnumbered or are already damaged and win. Were Destiny 2 makes up for this though is that the limitations imposed on the new radar has returned flanking to the game. So if you have the game sense to be able to read you radar, translate it into a picture of where people are on the map, and then hit them from the sides or from behind.....you CAN start to punish some of that team shooting. I got a shit-ton of kills during the beta just from flanking people or hitting them from behind...and with the new radar they had NO idea I was there....and in some cases still couldn't locate me even after they started taking fire from me.

19 отв.I've seen a lot of talk about team shooting in D2. But I don't understand how it's different to to D1? Let's call time to kill x (in D1 or D2) So your time to kill would be x The oppositions player would also be x If there's more than one opposition player, then x gets divided by the number of opposition players. So if there's two people shooting at you it's x/2. Or three it's x/3 etc. It's the exact same formula in D1 as D2. The only thing that changes is the value of x. So there's absolutely no more of an advantage for team shooting in D2 than in D1. Put another way - sure the time to kill is longer in D2. But so is the opposition teams time to kill. Their TTK doesn't get exponentially shorter because they are a team. It's a straight division of the the TTK by the number of players. Same as D1.

In other news...solo's will only match against fireteams... What kind of thinking is this? IIRC, the algorithms already attempt to match teams with teams and randoms with randoms. So if by your logic the lobbies are essentially 50% fireteams and 50% solo's, then the fireteams will match with the other fireteams and the solo's match with the solo's.

11 отв.I find it hilarious that people act like team shooting doesn't exists in D1.......
-
3 отв.I got a lot of 1v3 kills, mostly in 1v1 encounters. But what people don't like is, the 1v2 encounters melt you. Chances of you beating two players quickly is super rare in destiny 2. The only way you done it, is if you were facing kids that are younger then 10. It's nothing like destiny 1.

OK, Baghdad Bob.

3 отв.Same. D2 PVP was pretty good.

3 отв.Изменено (gallp13): 8/5/2017 10:14:13 PMSame, same and old gallp is an average pvp player. Did it by running, "sneaky fuqer" and "battle buddy" strategies. Once got build right start getting old 1 v 2 kills. (Electric Titan nades, skating, high resilience and recovery, kinetic auto, SMG energy and voop.) Ppl just don't like change and love over dramatising hence the big sighs and "world is ending" tone to comments. Pvp feels new and fresh and fun to old gallp.

Same. I did well running around largely solo.
-
I agree, i didnt have any trouble at all getting solo kills in control on the beta. In fact i found it quite a bit easier than destiny 1 or black ops 3.

perhaps if they fix the spawns, the ttk would not be as much of an issue. maybe a bigger map would have helped as well. every time you happened to get in a 1v1, someone would spawn behind or beside you and within the hour it took for your 1v1 to take place, someone would make it a 2v1 either for or against you (and that is assuming the 1v1 was close enough that neither person felt implored to take advantage of the 3 hour window to run away). team shooting is a cool mechanic in other sorts of games. nobody likes team shooting in actual shooters, at least nobody decent. mobas, etc. require and are all about team fights. they are built that way. they also have minions all over the place and are 100pct objective based. the characters are not different enough to warrant the necessity for compositions like in a moba. the fun of a fps is 1v1 fights, period.
-
The map was WAY too small for 4v4 and the spawn system was an absolute trash. Everytime you were in a 1v1, the time to kill was so long, his teammate would run up behind you and stick his gun right in your cakes.

Изменено (FL0W): 8/6/2017 11:08:58 AMWell, what is this "Sticky/Sidearm/Ability/Superspamming/Icebraker"-Meta everyone whines about in D1 right now? I get multikills en masse with my Suros Regime Primary so this Meta cannot be there according to your logic.
-
43 отв.Just because you ran up against some sub-par talent does not mean this isn't a thing. You go up against a team of any quality and you will get owned as a solo player. This is all going to become crystal-clear in "Trials of the Nine".

LOL. My matches were team shooting galleries.

3 отв.Lol wow...mkay

still thinking about the 3x-class ability/super +3x-subclass quests, kinda gave up after doing the Hunter and Wizzard ones (well ok I think I finished HulkSmash too), but it felt like on some stages of the quests there was some (very welcome) assist-fudging going on (esp. the multikill parts for supergun and for radiance) whereas the melee and grenade parts were in most cases very painful grinding (even with all the Mayhem we got in the last 2 months) - so... so, there was some ugly solo stuff (blinkstrike even set to land-of-infinite-blinkstrike ugh) and some fun solo stuff (throwing knife, altho many will disagree lol.) but then the super/multi parts seemed less painful because it seemed to give more credits even in team/assist cases? not even sure where I'm going with this lol. I didn't much care for either of the D2 pvp modes but possibly just everyone acting weird or adjusting. I honestly don't think too much about stats or k/d and I am cool with adjusting to new form of tactics or overall strategy. even in this post-tshirt-era I can understand lots of D1 pvp behavior selfish for book-stuff or other exotic-quest-stuff or whatever progress-stuff. (count me: guilty)

3 отв.The only thing "exposed" here is your lack of understanding.

9 отв.I don't think it's the fact that lone wolfing is impossible, it's just not as viable in D2. My primary complaint is that is is just moving away from what destiny was to me. I liked the chaos. I don't care if I get super, ability, or one hit killed. It was part of the chaos. I still won plenty and killed plenty. This new version of pvp is more balanced and therefore less fun to me. I understand we are almost split 50/50 in the community on this topic, but I preferred d1 pvp.
