I'm actually not bothered by this... However speaking lines that we could choose how to respond to a situation would be better... (Like mass effect or fallout 4)... I don't like when our custom characters personality and speaking parts are scripted and we have no control over...

14 отв.I never really cared for the dialogue or the voices our characters (Guardians) had in the Vanilla D1. It was generic, nearly lifeless, and all voices were the same for male and female no matter the race or class you chose . D2 has much larger issues than a character being mute and I find it ponderous that this has become an issue at all. No offense, but I see this as extremely minor and unimportant as a mute Guardian is not going to be what ruins this game. And for those who are about to say such? Might be time to either take a good long look at your priorities or just find something else to play. A voiceless Guardian is, somewhat, disappointing, bit far from being a major issue.

2 отв.Because it's cheaper lol This game is built from the bottom up to be simple and easy to tweak and maintain for the dev team.... That's why everything has been simplified and static weapons introduced etc....
-
Good, the game has enough cringy dialogue. The only good voice actor is Fillion.
-
Bungie is sick of hearing our bitching so they muted us after the first release of the game.
-
Well we weren't completely mute. We had a few lines of dialogue in a few cutscenes. But yeah we don't say much otherwise
-
Well fallout was better without voice

1 ответWhen D1 dialogue is better than D2

Every time they do a "Silent Protagonist" I always insert quips and lines from The Long Kiss Goodnight. Anytime someone says that freaking line in a game or movie.
Samantha Caine: Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Mitch Henessey: I hope not, 'cause I'm thinking how much my balls hurt.
For those "Special in the head" moments that our heroes always find themselves in.
Charly Baltimore: Were you always this stupid, or did you take lessons? Mitch Henessey: I took lessons!
Whenever I kill a mini-boss or lieutenant.
Truck Driver: I'm– I'm hurt real bad. I think I'm dying. Timothy: Continue dying. Out.
Whenever someone pulls out a bunch of weapons, I think of this little gem.
Mitch Henessey: Tell me, old man, how many of those things you got? Nathan Waldman: Three: one shoulder, one hip, and one right here next to Mr. Wally, where most pat-downs never reveal it, as an agent's often reluctant to feel up another man's groin. Any other questions? Mitch Henessey: Yeah! What's the weather like on your planet?
For those moments you get ambushed out of nowhere.
Mitch Henessey: How did you find us? Nathan: There may be many reasons not to kill you, but among them is not that you'll be missed by NASA. I found the address in your coat. Here. Between the address of a topless bar, and the picture of what looks like a man's penis. Mitch Henessey: That's a duck, not a dick.
Let's not forget that moment when you're last guardian standing, at 1 hp and you down the boss.
Mitch: [shouting] THAT'S RIGHT, YOU CAN'T KILL ME MOTHER-blam!-ERS!
2 отв.I get that a lot of people aren't a fan of silent protagonists, but acting like it's a lazy decision or some new thing thought up by the "evil gaming industry" is just flat out wrong. I would go so far as to say there are more successful games that have silent (or at least voice lines that mean literally nothing) protagonists than ones that talk. In fact here's a short list. The Legend of Zelda series Mario Dark Souls World of Warcraft Call of Duty (press F to pay respects doesn't count) Halo: Reach And Metroid. And on the subject of Metroid, the first game in which we really hear her voice is considered to be the worst game in the entire series. Metroid: Other M. I understand if you don't like it. I don't understand people that treat it like it's objectively worse. To me it makes sense. Imagine if you were your ghost instead of your guardian. If the voice of the ghost is Dinklage, more lighthearted people won't like their own character. If ghost is voiced by North, more serious people won't like their character either. To me, the Guardian is your avatar, not just a protagonist in a story.

1 ответActually in destiny 1 the guardian actually says a few lines of dialogue bit not much
-
5 отв.Are Guardians were not mute in D1. Did you forget the whole little light scene. Granted they didn't speak much but far from mute
-
1 ответI wish that Feckin ghost was mute. How can I 'become legend' with that twat constantly chewing my ear off with his effing bulls%@t. Stop feckin whining in my lug when I'm trying to get sh#t done!
-
Because it's easier to make funny videos of guardian 'conversations' when you don't have to cut out audio
-
If vanilla destiny guardians didn't talk, no one would care...
-
I really don't understand Bungie logic,"We want you to feel like you guardian is yours ".I'm paraphrasing.Come on Bungie I want to throw sass at Ghual not take his bullshit, my ghost should not speak for me,my Guardian might as well be -blam!-ing Helen Keller now that I've lost my Light! Also how does Eris etc know that we have done everything the Ghost is saying,it could just be talking shite for all they know.
-
This bothers me so much. The way they had it set up and the amount of dialog in vanilla worked well. Then all of a sudden we don't talk anymore. I even remember an interview before RoI came out when Urk (I believe it was him) said that our guardians would no longer be "the strong, silent type". How many lines did our guardians have during RoI? Oh yeah, none. They haven't talked since walking in to the Black Garden. At this point I'd be happy with one make and one female voice actor - don't even bother with the separate actors for each class that we had when the game launched.

1 ответИзменено (Æpidius): 7/29/2017 3:17:31 PMBungie should implement the same concept from Dora: "Do you see a mountain in the distance?" . . . "Great!"
-
1 ответAs soon as you put a name to the guardian, it takes away from the fantasy of you being said guardian.
-
1 ответSo? Use you imagination, voice him or her yourself.
-
OMG! No voice for our guardian?! Are you serious?! This game is fucking unplayable now!
-
Six fewer voice actors per language

2 отв.Does it matter?

Изменено (ScantyGryphon): 7/29/2017 1:58:03 PMIdk they did mention some.sort of branching choice of conversation, maybe there is spoken dialog for it that they haven't revealed yet?
that's hoping anyways
Just saw the Ama.....now I'm sad.

I'd rather play than talk about it.
