Based on that leaked info for Destiny 2, if Lord Shaxx makes his last stand to defend the Tower, I could see that as no more Crucible training for the Guardians -- and I would be absolutely a-okay with that.
-
5 отв.Pve is always going to be the same repetitive crap. Pvp offers competitive gameplay
-
53 отв.I think the fact that Bungie is still trying to balance Crucible 2 1/2 years later should be a clear indication that Destiny's PvP has been a failed experiment. For Destiny 2, they should focus on creating a PvE masterpiece instead of the mediocre trainwreck we've ended up with. Or f#ck it, go strictly PvP. Either way. This game has slowly destroyed itself due to Bungie's ineptitude for finding a balance between the two modes.
-
I'd be happy if they can separate pve and pvp economies next time around. Having blanket weapon/perk patches consistently hurts the experience on one front or another.
-
I completely agree!
-
I look forward to the story line moving to a Guardian Civil War, so line between PvE and PvP becomes blurred.
-
No. We could try giving them both equal attention and consideration when it comes to sandbox changes.
-
I think this patch is the nail in coffin for Destiny 2 having seperate gear for PVE and PvP.
-
Because all they do is ruin PvP
-
A story in-game would be nice...
-
2 отв.PVP is all I play, can only re run the same strikes, raids etc so many times
-
Yup, PvE is where the focus should be.
-
PVE is the way to go in Destiny! I don't think any quest line except for Shax quests which are obviously PVP oriented.
-
Maybe? Maybe?

Destiny was originally PvE focused and PvP just became more successful than they thought it would be as is evidenced by the way they spoke about crucible prior to release. I think Destiny 2 will have more PvE stuff, as all signs indicate they are expanding things on that front, but I also think they are going to double down on PVP, especially on the competitive level, it's a much bigger market in the long run and easier to support.

7 отв.Изменено ($hirtless Captain Kirk): 2/15/2017 2:45:32 PMDestiny 2 will FAIL super hard. It could actually END Bungie. Let's think about this. Year 1, day 1. TONS OF PEOPLE bought the game. It had enormous initial sales. People bought the expansions at launch and were locked in. Tons of those people left without even playing Crota. More people left before HoW. By HoW, mostly only fairly dedicated players stayed. Even some of those people left during HoW never to return. That trend continues and continues. I don't know anyone who left the game pissed off about something. The casuals didn't get what they wanted upon release and they moved on quickly. They'll likely NOT buy a sequel. The die hards stayed and most of us that did (for a time) had something piss us off. My line in the sand was the shoulder charge nerf. That shit was ridiculous. It was the straw that broke the camel's back. Bungie's gonna get a wake up call with D2, you watch and see. They'll be ancient history of their behavior continues much longer. They've all but destroyed Destiny's brand on all fronts. A few Desticles will buy it, sure. Not enough to break even though. Calling that shit now.

I agree. Crucible fun can't not be compared with Raid fun. I think Bungie should emphasize more the cooperative game. Story missions should be improved to become really challenging, forcing you to take 2 of your friends with you. You can say that it could be similar to nightfalls but my suggestion is to extend that to all the missions. I mean, on release time we paid for all the content in the game and history missions was part of that and now who plays them?, even in "hard mode" those missions can be completed easily in solo mode. A nightfall mode when selecting the missions would be great...the only bad thing is that destiny 1 is out of prices for doing that, and a lot of people won't want to do that without rewards. If destiny 2 could be done as an extensive raid would be the best. Imagine that vault of glass phases were separated missions from a story and that all the game has that challenging approach full of strategy, puzzles and cooperative mode...that would make me forget about pvp

Lmao. Destiny 1 should have been more PvE focused.
-
2 отв.I think it should only be PVP. I don't want to spend hours in patrol collecting material or sitting down waiting during a raid cause somebody has to go smoke a cigarette

9 отв.I agree that the game needs to be more PVE oriented, but in order for it to be more PVE oriented. However, we need to accept a few things before we can do this: 1. We need to accept that the amount of PVE content Bungie can produce in any given production cycle (1 year maximum per their contract with Activision which requires paid-for content every year) is going to be relatively limited in comparison with the demands of the players. 2. Because PVE content will be limited, we need to accept that there will be some repetitive/cyclical play. This means we may be rerunning strikes, although perhaps with different modifiers, etc. to put a new spin on it. And that is fine. 3. In order to incentivize us to repeatedly run content (particularly ENDGAME content like the raid and nightfall) we also need to accept that the rewards for those pieces of content MUST be better than what you could get elsewhere. If this is not true, then you have no incentive to repeatedly run that content. 4. In order for endgame to give top-tier loot, that necessarily means that there needs to be fewer quests for the top-tier guns. Quests for guns are good, but you can't questify the BEST guns in the game or you ruin incentive to do anything harder than a normal strike. Even if Raid Gear is elite tier like it was in Y1, when you have ALL of the raid gear, you still did the raid to chase down elite level exotics. Basically, they need to go back to how things were in Y1. Y1 wasn't perfect, and it was inaccessible, but what they did in Y2 to make it "accessible" wasn't the right answer either. They just made everything super easy/super easy to get, and they didn't leave anything great for RNG to drop. They watered down the quality of raid gear to make people who couldn't raid feel like they weren't missing out, which is just dumb IMO. Quality of rewards need to scale with the difficulty of the content so that doing the endgame content rewards the best stuff in the game. So just restore the basic principals of Y1, and do the following to fix the accessibility issues: 1. Implement optional matchmaking for ALL content. I emphasize: OPTIONAL. Also toss in in-game LFG, recruitment boards - the whole litany of ideas proposed to help get guardians without regular teams connected. 2. Allow ALL gear to carry forward. This is necessary because casuals likely won't be able to get all the elite endgame gear until they can OVERlevel and run that content without a full fireteam or when that content is relatively easier due to being higher level. This allows hardcore players to get the elite endgame gear first, but casuals will eventually be able to get it without having that gear be obsolete. Fair enough, IMO, given the disparity in the amount of time/effort the respective groups are putting into the game. 3. Allow for max light outside of the raid. This is a good move because PVE content outside of the raid needs to do a better job of getting people ready to actually take on the endgame content. Max light doesn't even guarantee that they will be ready to take on the raid (at least at a strategic level), but it at least means they will be less of a liability for an LFG group. 4. if RNG is particularly stingy and people still aren't getting items after 80-100 runs of trying, then the answer is to increase the drop frequency (drop percentages) to be more favorable to the player. Don't questify it just to make it easy to get. RNG is RNG. Sometimes it loves you and sometimes it hates you. You have to take the good with the bad. Like it or not, RNG provides us with the incentive to repeatedly run content. If they did this, we would essentially be back at Y1, when the game was in its most fun state, but they will have done everything humanly possible to address the REAL issues of Y1- rather than just make the game easy mode. While we are on the subject, Strikes and the Nightfall need to work like they did in Y1. Guaranteed Coins for completing the Heroic (mini-nightfall), Glowing flame head for the nightfall, which boots you back to orbit when you have a full team wipe, and the ability to select a strike on the map and run it at any difficulty level you want.

Destiny was supposed to be PvE focused but they -blam!-ed it up with the cut content, to the content drought, and the over priced DLC so people only play for the PvP which they can't even balance properly by the looks of things. I just pray for Destiny 2
-
1 ответI take exception to your use of the word "Maybe. Destiny 2 SHOULD be A LOT MORE PVE focused.
-
1 ответOh I remember the good old days when the crucible was just something extra on the side in Destiny that you could almost avoid completely if you wanted to. But now they force us to enter the cricible to get the extra rewards. All the nerfs/buffs that have been made to this game have been crucible orientated cant think of anything that had people in pve complaining besides the nerfs.
