I have played with many groups who say they know what they are doing, done it before and are 375+ but they can't even beat the raid then yesterday I joined a group (on my friend's account) 365+ where one person didn't know how to do the encounters and only 1 had beat the raid before. So we went through we explained to this guy what you had to do and guess what we beat every encounter first try... It just shows that these stupid requirements are not needed a good player will be able to just as well.
And then for trials well you can't judge a player by his stats you can farm it high or it can be dropped low by just not taking it seriously all of the time. I have played with people who have double my K/D but are no where near as good and then played with players with a lower K/D then me who have been much better. Stats while for the upmost sweats it may show how good they are for most it will not be an accurate representation; they may have been terrible at one point but are now gods or they may spend most of their games doing stupid challenges.
So there is no need what so ever for stupid requirements in both PvE and PvP in truth if you are a good player it shouldn't matter if someone has exactly the same skill as you and don't look down on people just because of your stats so just learn that not everybody cares about their stats and takes everything seriously.
Edit 1: light levels is a bit different i understand certain requirements but do not belive for the raid you need to be 380+ or that for trials you need a 2 K/D
Edit 2: thanks for all the support guys we are bow trending and even those of you who disagree thanks for the feedback
Edit 3: you guys must remember running kings fall even after it had been out for almost a year with a full team of 335's and struggling to get it done so light really doesn't matter because it can be done easily with a full team of 315's
Edit 4: thanks for over 100 likes on this post guys it just shows how big of a problem this is in the community
Edit 5: and to all you who believe that this is a lie i don't really care if you will listen to some random person who doesn't know the full stroy and niether do you then that's your problem not mine

So all you do is create your own group with no requirements. Or are you too worried that too many people without experience and low light will join and ruin your experience? What goes around comes around
-
Stylosa once told me rank doesnt matter
-
Every player can create and manage the environment that they want to play in by setting up their own fireteams. If i go into LFG and don't see a group that I want to be involved with, then i create my own. I encourage any and all other randomers and solo players to do the same. And if a 355 has a demand for 380s to go into a raid or the forge (ive just seen one!!), then let them waste an hour

1 ответWhile KD or ELO is a decent indication of possible skill it still isnt everything. Playing Trials with the same people is imensly beneficial when it comes to the team chemistry and coordination. The last time I took trials seriously was in year 1. I dont even think that I played trials in year 2.

I only have one request be able to kill shanks

Изменено (XenomorphWraith): 10/10/2016 1:24:50 PMBet you anything that the hard mode requirements on day one will be "395+ must have a 400 Gjallarhorn. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING"
-
Sorry but I have to disagree For me, what matters most aboveall else is team chemistry. With the exception of genuine assholes, I can trust that the people I look for who fit my criteria will play to the same or similar standard I expect from my regular team. This goes for both pve and pvp I dont ask for the best, just for those who are similar to me and my team

Look on 100 io it's a more chilled and relaxed group site

Elitist arsehats have always been around. They look down on those who play for the FUN of the game as of they were something that had crawled out of their toilet. Not everyone can reach the Lighthouse or do a flawless heroic raid, for one reason: we're only human, and no person is perfect. Besides, I still remember one particularly amusing experience where someone who was a self proclaimed "flawless Trials master" (before anyone asks, he had the stats to prove it) was in a Raid team for VOG Hard. All his talk about being able to "own scrubs", and yet he couldn't even make the platform jumping puzzle.
-
Sometimes I want to do a speed run? I dont have time to teach people. Other times I am generous I dont mind helping 1 or 2 people through the raid. We are human and have lives. Sometimes I sit down knowing I can only play for 90 mins then have to go. In that scenario I want a solid group, otherwise I will end up leaving before the end and burning everyone. If you dont like the requirements make your own group? Its pretty simple. My biggest problem is people just leaving or going AFK. Serious lack of respect for other peoples time. There should be some kind of reliability rating attached to your account I think.
-
I do agree its stupid but I kinda get why they ask for it. Even though I joined a 375+ group last night. Ask for a invite I got a reply with "light?" I said 376 lol I got a invite and as I got in to orbit with them I noticed a 373 sat there lol. Atleast put 373+ to not look so stupid.
-
Make your own team - problem solved, right?
-
You said "stop" and now everything has changed.
-
High raid requirements don't guarantee you'll put together a competent team, but think about it logically: a random 385 guardian is probably going to be more experienced than a random 360 guardian since the 385 has likely invested more time than the 360 guardian.

This guy gets it

It does make it a struggle getting a group. I was initially waiting to run the raid with mates however they've all decided they probably won't be able to level, a couple have real life commitments that prohibit it at the moment. So that means I'm now facing looking on LFG, I've studied datto's guides and we did drop into the raid as a group of 5 350-365s and got the initial encounter done and picked up the chests. I'm going to look a little more seriously tonight, I'm hoping my relatively high light (376) for someone who hasn't done the raid might help me in my quest to find a group haha

I tend to have some requirements, I agree that they are never guarantees that a group will preform flawless. But it tends to help with finding people who know what they are doing. Sometimes I like taking new people through the raid, since I also need a helping hand when doing it for the first time myself. So pay it forward.. But that doesn't mean that I can't put up requirements to make sure I find a capable crew more easily. I do not care about people's loadouts but certain but we need some way to filter compentence... If you don't like it join someone else and stop whining on the forums like a little bitch...
-
I understand these requirements because they want to secure themselves a good run. The part I hate is when they don't let newer players into the raid leaving them in the dirt.
-
Yeah, the requirements won't stop. It's been this way since vog. People have their preferences is all and it's not really a problem. The only time it was a real problem was when people were only taking people with gally and that sucked because back then gally was hard to come by for a lot of people. But honestly even than it never felt hard to find a group.
-
To each their own I say. Everyone has their reasons for posting what they post. Who are we to judge? Just don't try to join their group of you don't meet the requirements. It's as easy as that. Best thing to do, post your own group with your own requirements. Lotta people out there looking for groups :)

I like how you were carried yet somehow word it in a way that makes you seem like a good player.

Yup true that my k/d is .9 for 3 honest reasons. 1. my 7 yr old kid plays on my acct when im at work but idgaf. 2. I hardly ever play in a fireteam and since y2 i have played trials with nothing but randoms. 3. Im fcking old 31and don't have good reflexes like you young kids do. And honestly i dont know why i still play video games but what the hell its my dark secret.
-
I'm torn on this subject but agree with a lot of what your saying. I'm an adult with kids and I've dedicated too much time to this game. Early on in content I put in a lot of time to learn new encounters with my regular friends through trial and error and just watching videos from some of the awesome content creators out there. So to be honest I gravitate towards these types of groups when I'm short on time. I don't consider myself an elitist but I do value my time and can't always teach the raid. To be fair to the people that make some questionable post I think we've all at one point or another been in a raid with a guy that asked if Black Spindle is good or some other weird question that's makes you wonder how the hell he got in your fire team.
-
Competence is always more important than light level. But if you make sure everyone is equal or above the highest light encounter in a raid you at least rule out one possible problem, now you only have to worry about competence. What they really should be asking for if they want smooth raid runs is # of completions of said raid. But do understand LFG is a method to form private fireteams though, and anyone using it is in their full right to put up whichever requirements they feel like. Don't like it? Don't join that group and keep looking or even better, make your own post without requirements.
