The wait times are for the server to mathematically equate the team structure to "rig" your game and in a way, "RNG-ing" your team outcome before the match even starts-- in and effort to feed the grand scheme by Bungie to "balance" win/loss ratios among the community as much as possible for presumably longer play times to increase KD's and bounty achievements and to "obtain" Crucible exclusive loot. (takes a breath) Ya know, cause we asked for hidden cheating in something we all paid money for.
