Icebreaker Grants Full Special Ammo Bungie

So I've already seen a lot of people complaining about snipers relying on Icebreaker now. While I find that completely sad, I'm not sure how many people (or Bungie employees) are aware that having [b]max[/b] Icebreaker ammo and switching to another special weapon grants that weapon full special ammo. [b]Downside is you have to be dead and switch weapons.[/b]
Bungie's nerf is alright in my opinion, doing it to 3v3 gametypes. Thank God they didn't do it in 6v6. But hopefully they have tested it out (which icdoubt they have) and somehow Icebreaker (and Invective) don't regenerate their own ammo. Or either they aren't useable.
This will completely ignore the nerf and I'm sure someone will find a way around it.

10 отв.Bungie confirmed on Twitter that Invective and Ice Breaker will spawn with 0 bullets at start of match. Sidearms, however, are a different story. They have an intrinsic perk to always spawn with ammo, and this did not get adjusted with the update.

2 отв.How is it sad that people use Icebreaker? I still use guns like Icebreaker, Universal Remote, Thorn, Nechrochasm, Pocket Infinity, Dreg's Promise, and Lord of Wolves in PvP. It's not my fault that Bungie wants to be a dick and not put them in Y2. Those weapons are super fun to use

Invective is a better option, and doesnt kill your light level (like trial, Iron Banner)

6 отв.Изменено (SameDice): 2/7/2016 5:25:34 PMUm in the 4 minutes that it takes Icebreaker to completely fill its magazine, the match will pretty much be half way over and special ammo will have spawned many times over. Also (I'm sure someone will correct me on the seconds here) I believe it takes like 8 seconds for a round to spawn so won't the special ammo be up before you have even three rounds?

You can keep the weapon of your choice and pick up some special ammo and don't have to die Wtf is this community coming to when they try to find a cheese that takes longer than doing it legit and involves dying to change weapons. If people use icebreaker to do get special it will just lead to the ammo regen time getting nerfed like it did at the end of year 1

3 отв.Doesnt need fixing. Just like invective. When you are using an exotic special, you are missing out on the godly three exotic primaries. These are weapons everyone has and if people are so bad that they cant start a skirmish match without special, its fine to use these guns. Nothing wrong with that. It does take 20s for invective to get 4 rounds and ice breaker is even slower. NO NERFS NEEDED!!!

2 отв.Why not just use icebreaker? Or fight over special? Ice breaker imo is the only genuine sniper rifle. It's bulky, heavy to lug around, kicks like a bull, but can -blam!- your shit waaaaay up if the user is skilled enough.

I use this tactic all the time in pve. Especially if I'm soloing a nightfall. So the only synths I have to pop are for heavy
