I am an Alpha, Beta, Day 1 player and im on my last string.
-Microtransactions
-Time gates
-Dishonesty
-Ps4 Exclusives
This is a recipe for shit.
I'm on ps4 and even I don't agree with the exclusive iron banner armor.
70$ Vanilla- gave me the chance to be max level, semi-balanced PvP, No Thorn or OP pulse rifles.. just Auto Rifles needed a small Nerf. VOG greatest raid Destiny will ever have.
20$ TBD- Was great made us think the future of Destiny would be more like this! Little did we know it was already in the game and they made us pay for it.
20$ HoW- was actually quite good, you could use any gear any weapons, just messed up PvP though with OP ass weapons and shitty PoE
40$ TTK- it was really good before we started seeing the transparency of the dlc.. we lost all of our weapons and gear we spend litterally days in game earning and now its a rinse and repeat cycle.
Total: 150$ for the original game..
Trust me I played World of Warcraft, exact same shit happened and trust me it did die.
As will Destiny, until they stop trying to make so much -blam!-ing money and focus on making a good game.
Now microtransactions are all they hype up and talk about.. Srl racing? What a -blam!-ing waste. Yea its cool but its probably been around since Vanilla anyway like everything else.
TLDR: Bungie wants money. Bungie doesnt care about its players. All they see is dollar signs. Until they focus on making a great game, I am steering clear from any new DLC..
Fanboys: I feel bad for you all, defending a company that doesnt care about you. I understand though. You gotta go down with your sinking ship.
You get fkd in the a$$ and dont say anything youll continue to get fkd in the a$$ by Bungie. Enjoy your a$$ fkn or speak up and demand change.

Unsalty logical responses:

It's crazy that people bash you for posts like these..
Yeah I get that there's a lot of posts like these, but honestly there's a reason for it!
We can all agree we love this game, or would wouldn't be playing it..and definitely wouldn't be on the forums.
Coming from a day 1 player, this game has made drastic improvements in certain areas. But it's as soon as they get something right..the turn something else into absolute shit (fusion rifles anyone??).
Bottom line is, posts like these are made to make people aware of this shit. So maybe, Bungle will become aware and fix shit. And Maximize this games incredible potential.
That's all

I don't hate destiny as a game, but what really gets me is that bungie doesn't take responsibility for their failed weapons update. I mean come on, there was "a typo" and that AR's were supposed to be buffed by .7% not 7%, .4% not 4%... You've got to be kidding me. On top of that they also lied ( or just screwed up ) my favorite special weapon: fusion rifles. ADS stability is atrocious now on fusion rifles. I was really looking forward to that weapon patch... I don't know, I just don't know anymore

It's basically just the monetary value attached to bullshit products that don't do anything. Like $10 for a statistics screen with the racing record book, or $5 emotes.
With other companies, the microtransactions actually feel like they have an actual value for what you're paying (like purchasing weapons or entire characters in Warframe, or unlocking entire weapon trees in Battlefield, etc.) while Bungie attempts to capitalize on the same quantities of money for 5-second dance moves or paper masks for your Guardian.
And for anyone who played since day one, I can see why they'd be mad after playing through two anemic DLCs and one decent expansion just to have this shit be Destiny's "final form".

I think he more concerned about the current state of the game. As in how they haven't actually created anything new to release. Everything you played so far (other then sparrow racing) was developed before the vanilla release of destiny. Do a little research on what happened to the story. The original story that was tossed out ended on the dreadnaught. The dark below and house of Wolves were completed prelaunch and Bungie has no new content to release. I know dlc takes time, but they had over a year. They spent the first year taking stuff out of the game and re working a new story over it and released it as a "massive new dlc" that didn't expand any content. How many strikes did we have in rotation before the taken king dropped? How many did we have after it dropped? Here is a hint, vanilla destiny shipped with 5 strikes and we currently have 5 in rotation. They literally took away content and most people are thanking them for it. I'm a huge fan of destiny, have been following it development for the day it was announced. The reef was fully formed and displayed within the first year of development. It wasn't a surprise to anyone in the know that we got the social space there as they did show it off in full (NPCs didnt populate it) a year or two before the launch date.

The light level thing and the time gated items are why I don't play destiny with any seriousness anymore. I fluctuate a lot with games now,ive been just wasting a little time here and there with destiny,I haven't done anything serious at all.
Why bother? Light levels are ridiculous, possibly the worst leveling system to date, can't use whatever I want in strikes, raids,ToO and banner anymore because of it. All end game content gives shit based on light and not actual unique items, all the emphasis is on light level, which doesn't even matter for anything outside of ToO and the raid, which in turn only gives you more light related crap! It's so redundant.
I'd be able to partially get over that if I could, you know, actually get the new -blam!-ing exotics I paid for over 2 months ago! I mean for Christ sake,i lost interest in destiny before I could even get the content I paid for when I bought the Damn dlc.
I can't take this game or this company seriously anymore. When you say "includes "x" new exotics" that usually means they are in the -blam!-ing dlc, not being purposely held off because the developer knows the game is dying. That's false advertisement for one and,if it weren't for the bullshit terms and reg we all agreed to when we bought the game, itd be illegal as -blam!-,considering we didn't receive the goods/services we were promised in exchange for the money we gave them, two theyd probably be getting sued all over the place for pulling this shit.
Dirty business, insulting and blatantly transparent. It really just leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you try to enjoy the game.
I guess I'm the only person who didn't care about the "cut content" I guess this is the first time a lot of people have felt like they've been screwed over.
-
I love destiny, but for 1 reason i can't this game anymore...
i broke my controller u.u
-
OP's right... Sad it is to admit... =(
-
I've never been hooked on drugs. My whole life I've been clean. However if the addiction that i have towards this game can relate, I would have been in prison a long time ago.
-
I'm a beta player, I have done all challenges, gone flawless, and only 2 light away from 320 light, I am just going to jump on for this week's challenge mode with warpriest to hopefully get a 320 heavy and any luck get a 320 ghost from totems, but apart from that I am having a break until the next load of content. I will be playing fallout and cod over Xmas, the division beta and then the division once that is released. Destiny is my favourite game and I will be around for the full 10 years, but just looks like it will be for a few months here and there around new content. I wish they had enough constant content or just more gear and customisation options to keep me playing as I literally could play destiny all day everyday if there was enough content, shame really because bungie are on to a winner if they keep the content going. I would even pay a monthly subscription and I am sure many others would too. With all of these breaks in content bungie are just hurting their game.

1 ответDestiny has the best FPS model for any online game. It is a crime the path they're going down. 100% agree with you. This game is dying because of their greed.
-
1 ответAgreed Vanilla Awesome! TDB Great HoW Meh? TTK ... SRL Bye bye
-
1 ответI love how you have to "put yourself" up there by saying. DAY 1 PLAYER,ER... ALPHA! Listen to me!! I definitely know what I'm talking about!
fag
I left destiny as well after completing TTK normal raid I don't hate game but its clearly showing now it's becoming a cash grab game.I bet till destiny 2 free update = micro transactions there's gonna be lots of shit shows .This game runs on desticles & balls licking fanboys who defend it I mean look at the community that refer friend program posting for new players to buy destiny and get rewards together and then just use them & then remove them from friend list just pathetic :/
-
Bump, you're like me, I just wasn't there for the Alpha release.
-
3 отв.You understand Bungie is a business providing a product for purchase that has optional additional upgrades at the end users expense right? It isn't a non profit looking to make gamers lives better.
-
2 отв.Bungie just needs to bring back vog for me. Never even played the new raid and don't intend to

4 отв.Bump if you totally read post title. Saw the length of the essay and said f this guy who cares.

I'm guessing your clan and fireteam stopped playing with you?

1 ответBye Felicia

1 ответDishonesty is doing it for me. I feel like Bungie is running for political office.

7 отв.Let's talk. What does announcing yourself as a year one/day one/beta player have to do with this? Does it give you recognition? Is it supposed to make us understand that you know what your talking about? If so, then ok. (What? You think I'm hating? Screw that.) But, I'm going to disagree about the micros. We're getting free content for a year, and now your leaving? The micros don't affect anyone but the person who bought it. There cosmetic. They don't help anyone either. Except that booster pack that needs to die. ANYWAYS, I hope you show up when the next Destiny game comes. Hopefully it brings you back. -The guy with no house.

2 отв.Beta player that is right there with you. After I finish the Oryx Challenge tonight I'll be done with Destiny for awhile, perhaps permanently. I'm disappointed with a lot of the design decisions lately, and with nothing coming up that interests me (not supporting SRL, and PvP is a joke, so I won't be playing IB or Trials) there really is nothing left for me to do. I still like Destiny, but I don't get the same enjoyment out of it as I once did. All one has to do is take a look at the pricing on their microtransactions and one can see that they are losing players which is forcing higher prices on those that are still active. I believe the game is in more trouble than what Bungie or the die hard fans would lead you to believe right now. However, that could and likely will change with the release of some worthwhile content (DLC or DLC sized), or Destiny 2. Apparently Bungie is okay with a dwindling population until something big releases. SRL, IB, and holiday events are not going to cut it though.

1 ответBeen done. Was out for weeks then logged in the other day to see SRL.. Promptly left again. Youre getting mostly hate bc the rest of us have left
