[BUNGIE] Did today's update (2.0.2) require you to fully download Destiny: The Taken King?
If you are experiencing issues with Patch 2.0.2 (listed as Patch 1.18 on Playstation) and are required to download a full 18 GB patch set, please reply to this thread with the following information:
• Were any errors/disconnects encountered immediately before or during download of the patch?
• What region is your account located in?

• Patches on Playstation use different version numbers than Destiny's internal patch numbers. Patch 2.0.2 will be listed as "1.18" on the Playstation Home Screen
• Some players may see a patch with a total size of "18gb", but the download will already be mostly completed. This is expected and indicates that you are only downloading the difference between the previous patch set and the 2.0.2 patch set.

Writing from Canada. No errors. This the 2nd time this has happened since TTK. I cleared the cache on PS4 with no luck. Still downloading full 18gb. This unacceptable. Fix it

Full 18 GB download. Connection problems, restarts, and "unable to download" notifications. North Carolina.

@BNGHelp7 Guys did you not test this patch before rolling it out. Come on man this is bullshit. I can't even play the game because all I get is an Application Update screen with a [b]blank Downloading file bar[/b]. See this here is the kind of shit you people should really try to avoid. I have been a Destiny fan since day one and at this point I'm about to call it quits, you guys can't get your act together. You should fire your CEO for giving HALO to Microshaft! -blam!-ers!

Had trouble first time downloading full 18gb patch. Was downloading taking forrver. Checked connections. Ended up deleting patch update. Reset ps4. Patch started again. Deleted. Checked for updates. Waited for preperation. Once that was complete the patch downloaded in under a minute. Pennsylvania

Again, no fix in sight response, more like "deal with it". The question is why does this update NEED to download 18GB instead of the intended patch size when for previous updates (excluding 2.0) only the new file patch was downloaded without having to download all previous ones? I downloaded the update on my PS3, it was only 48MB, I didn't have to download the whole 10GB from the 2.0 update like in the PS4 wich was 18GB.

Im in Texas and its making me download it all again. Which completely sucks because i have slow internet and will take 2 days to download. Is there a fix in the works on this?

1 ответYeah! Huge patch said it'd take 50 plus hours. Then it came down to being three thirds done and rest itself and now it's starting over. I'm rather salty and in missing out on valuable iron banner playtime

I have to disagree with your last statement, I am required to install the full 18.150 GB update and is still going at this moment.

Honestly I tried everything including restoring the games storage and it still doesn't work. I swear to god Bungie you've pissed me off for the last time. I've supported you through since beta despite all the games problems and this is the last straw. You've proven just how incompetent you are and thank god for fallout 4 I guess.

How am I supposed to play if I can't download the update? I've tried restarting my console and I've cleared 35 gigs of free space on my hard drive, still says I need to clear more space. Way to ruin an iron banner launch bungie, so mediocre

No problem downloading, but a drastic increase in 'attempting to communicate with servers' messages, and lots of booting with various zoo animals and fruit.

So i just turned off my ps4 and turned it back on. It let me know that the update was done 20 minites later.

My download on Xbox one was about 105 megabytes. It processed normally. Thanks.
