I am American and I think it's wrong that they're practically charging you guys an extra $20 on top of the $40 we owe as Americans.
EDIT: Canada and rest of Europe too!

Don't pre-order in UK and AUS , wait a month and buy it used , speak with your wallet if you do not like it and believe me if their sales are way down in UK and AUS FOR TTK than they will make sure the rest of the DLC and Expansions are a lot more equal. If people are gonna pre order at those prices than why wouldn't Bungie cash in on it ? I'm not pre-ordering and I will pick the TTK up in a few weeks to a month for $15 to $20 , the new Raid won't even be in game for at least a month and still have 3 months+ till the next DLC , the game is not going anywhere , so what's the rush ?

Some context for what its worth: Let's assume the issues people have are with the RRP price that Bungie/Activision/Sony have set for TTK. TTK Standalone is available only as a download from the PS Store, at its full RRP. New games are also available for download from the PS Store at their full RRP. The Witcher 3 is a good example. We also know that different countries have different taxes, regs, wages etc etc and there are multiple variables in where a price is set. So lets compare TTK RRP to new game RRP's by country. USA: Witcher 3: $59.99 - TTK: $40 - 33% less than a new game AUS: Witcher 3: $99 - TTK: $69 - 30% less than a new game UK: Witcher 3: £49.99 - TTL: £40 - 20% less than a new game Don't feel sorry for us here in Aus, in fact with the way the dollar is going our collectors and legendaries are priced the same once you take into account our GST. The actual pricing is not that unfair. What's unfair is not giving local retailers access to the expansion only version so they can sell it at their discounted prices.

Not relevant at all but I read "Aus" as "Anus"
-
Thanks mate. I appreciate your awareness of the issue and all the others posting positively.

Destiny new was $100 in New Zealand. TTK is $72. Definitely the most expensive piece of single DLC I've ever seen. Season pass for BF3 was $80. But that was all the DLC across the life of the game. $72 for 1 DLC is quite high.

They really shouldn't have to pay that much
-
Agreed, satanvision needs to sort their shit out.

1 ответИзменено (Llalla): 8/31/2015 6:26:51 AMIf you live in Australia you are used to it. Regional pricing strategies adopted by many companies in the software industries add what is known locally as "The Australia Tax". The practice was so bad that there was even a parliamentary inquiry. Exchange rates are the rate at which currency is exchanged - it is not necessarily the best indicator of what prices will be like, or should be like, especially in the consumer good markets. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY... I have to say, the current trajectory of the AUD to the USD means that our price is acually looking better each day. The collectors edition is $79.99 US. I preordered at $119AUD which is currently worth about $85 US. A few more days and I might be on par! So - a big thanks to the tanking Chinese economy for making me feel better about my purchase.

EDIT: Canada and rest of Europe too!
Don't feel bad for Canada. We get it much cheaper than you. $39.99CAD That's about $31.00USD We got a great deal. I think AUS is in the same boat. The only people who have a government which has ridiculous trade tariff taxes is the UK.

Australia isn't being overcharged at all, save your pity for someone else.

It's called capitalism and CryAndBeRewardedaism. Welcome to the real world of it op. 😀
-
The seperate dlc is $70, pretty much the same cost as target or big w will have the legendary edition for (EB have it for 100 but are thieves), completely retarded business
-
Have an extra redbull code for a European guardian, PM and I will send it when I get home.
-
Well yeah....but they have cool accents!
-
Like the original Destiny and the DLCs it is cheap entertainment. When I take the missus out for dinner I can easily spend $80 and I don't even drink much. Every Friday night of the year I spent more on her than I have spent on Destiny in all of year one. Thanks for thinking of us though. Would have liked some Red Bull codes and particularly a Blacksmith Shader.

But they're not nearly as fat. Call it a health tax.
