Do Guardians need to pee? Eat? Have sex?
Do Guardians, barring the Exos, need to perform the biological necessities that regular non meta humans do? Is it that they don’t need to eat or drink, or that they can go longer without food and water, or that they don’t need to do it but do it for fun (like we see Cayde do in the D2 trailer). If they do eat: do Guardians defecate and urinate? And also as a side note: do Guardians have sex? And if they do: can babies be made? (Do men have sperm and women have eggs)

2 RepliesMy buddies and I have theorized that guardians are actually very dark with some of what they do, for example, if a guardians hungover, they'd just shoot themselves and regenerate. Guardians also probably play a lot of Russian roulette.

3 RepliesWasn't there a Grimoire or something where Dredgon Yor killed a Guardian and that Guardian's son avenged him? Or am I thinking of something else? In any case, it's likely possible that non-Exo Guardians can do all of the above even though they don't need to. Nolanbot is the ultimate healthcare.

I think with the Constant deaths I see in the Heroic Strikes, we don't "Live" long enough to need to do any of those things.

1 ReplyHaving nearky unstoppable killing machines without the ability to blow off steam would be a VERY bad idea. All Guardians have emotions, feelings, and even character flaws. They eat, they fight, they screw. (Even the exos). With that being said, I'm positive guardians are sterile and unable to procreate. Two guardians can not give birth to a baby guardian. On a philosophical note, how would you guys feel if you were essentially immortal but could still have children? How would you feel seeing them grow up, age, and die while you never aged a day?

2 RepliesThey don't need to. They probably do so anyways. Like how Cayde likes spicy ramen noodles. The Exo program gives a little insight to this and might have some relation to how Guardians react to not needing these things...but do so just because.

2 RepliesDo they need to? No. I don’t think so. The light allows guardians to essentially be limitless killing machines, but there is evidence that they still do these sort of things. For sleeping, they can when they want to, or when they die. Plenty of cases where we’ve read that some guardians go into sleep. For eating, we know they can certainly do that. Cayde loves his Ramen, and I’ve read from the Grimoire that Wei Ning had bought an entire round of beer for a whole bar. As for the sex part....well..........that’s not clear. We can make assumptions, but not full ones. If guardians had sex, there would be a chance that the female guardians would be out of service due to pregnancy (Im being factual here, not sexist) for at least 9 months. And there is no guarantee that the child could have any powers like normal Guardians get from Ghosts. But there are records that they can feel emotions, such as love. For example, Ikora once had a normal boyfriend from the city, but they broke up. So it’s possible to theorize that guardians can feel love and have sex, but for the reproductive organs to actually work, I have to say no. Reproduction is designed for survival, but survival is already guaranteed by the constant revivals

Need? No Can? Absolutely One last thing, Exo's are capable of eating and sexual practices, it helps their brain from rejecting their bodie

2 RepliesMy cousin once wanted to do a fanfic just after Crimson Day or... whatever we call it. That her hunter was in a relationship with a city woman who served at a cafe. Guardians are still alive, we aren't undead. Just immortals. We have feelings, we feel pride, remorse, relief surely. Why not love? We may not need food anymore but we may still need closeness and companionship. Why else do we have such camaraderie among each other and stick to our fireteams? I feel that our Guardians can't have children. I doubt we own property. Or sleep.

For human and awoken guardians I’d assume yes as they have the parts from their reawaken exo’s are different they don’t need to eat or drink or anything but they are programmed these feelings to prevent DER or in short term the human brain rejecting its new exo body hence why these human feelings are programmed in to make the brain feel more like it’s in a human body and not one of a exo body

They probably don't need to but do so anyway. We all know Cayde likes spicy ramen and if i remember correctly on the last page of the second Fall of Osiris comic we see Ikora with a cup of coffee or something. As for reproduction, we really don't know. I personally think they're like Spartans and can technically have children but don't have a sex drive.
