How is it even possible to nerf the range? :D You already have to bury your shotgun in the PVE enemies faces to do any damage with them! If you are at 3-4 meters away, you'll do 1's and 2's as damage! And giving the shotguns 2 times the damage, this might mean that I actualy do 2's and 4's as overall shot! WHOA! :D If anything, shotguns need more range. They do! Because every heroic and Nightfall and their mother has extra damage for melee and energy damages... so getting close is a dumb idea. SUPER dumb idea. The enemy doesn't budge, they kill you in 1-2 hits and they don't freaking care.... Shotguns aren't used, because they are un-usable in Nightfall modes. Why risk yourself, when you can do the same thing from safe distance with fusion or sniper? Shotguns aren't even high reward thanks to this. You'd have to increase the shotgun damage by 3 times to make a difference if you are going to just buff the damage! Or make the fall off damage dissapear with shotgun at PVE. I don't play PVP, so I don't know how OP they are there. I frankly don't care.
