M: I fell into a group the other day, they lent me their strength in order to transcend the Vault of Glass. L: What did you find? M: The fabric of reality colliding with itself. It was as if everything could be controlled by the Vex down there. They willed that place to be impenetrable, but still we broke through. L: If they could control reality by their will then how did you make it through? M: There were clues hidden out of sight from the Vex, they cannot imagine something to not exist if they do not know it exists in the first place. So there were times we hid, and there were times we used what was hidden. Specifically a shield named Aegis. It was the one thing that could pierce their defenses and cleanse the darkness that threatened to consume us. L: And once the Aegis was found the Vex couldn't just imagine it away? M: We never gave them the chance. It seemed like they needed a tremendous amount of power in order to manipulate their realm, power that took time to charge. Their Oracles were not fast enough, we ended them quickly. L: I've heard talk about Aegis. Rumors around the tower as well as the city that say a man named Kabr created it through his dying light. M: What else do you know about him? L: Just that he saved your life. That's enough for me.
