The loot system is broken and needs to be fixed. The armor and gun upgrades are all broken. For example the game has basically punished you for maxing out your exotic weapons pre-crota's end. It seems as if every new expansion the game is going to be one big grind that makes you start over. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't fixed if the player base drops significantly by the time of house of wolves and people move on to less grindy games like... World of Warcraft.
