Destiny servers suck more than Bf4 servers.
"Error, contacting Destiny servers."
"You have been disconnected from Destiny servers."
This problem was very frequent on the game began on the beta after sever maintenance as well, and this is a server side issue. I can guarantee it isn't my ping.

The bf4 servers are better. I play on a 1.5 gb dsl wifi speed while I wait for the eternaly long process of switching isp in order to get faster speeds. (Att won't bump my speed up) I played bf4 on this connection alot and as long as I was selecting us servers only I had no problems playing. On destiny I am kicked very regularly and can't even do the vog or crucible on this connection. Even after opening ports, dmz, and all that jazz. I hear that as long as you have good speeds connections are great world wide, but their servers are not set to handle slower connections at all. Having to wait for comcast to file paper work is a miserably slow process :(

I have only had one disconnect since the game has been out. It was only for 15-30 min.

BF4 released a great update that stabilized the servers and changed a lot.

Your problem might be you can't keep the flow going. Gaming uses UDP, and there's a level of tolerance in packets being dropped that won't shut it down. If you are connected via wifi, try plugging your system in via LAN and see if that improves. If so, your router prob can't handle the wifi traffic. If no difference, would be interesting to know if your ISP gets pissed about heavy usage and just starts blocking or dropping packets. They do this type of stuff. Verizon was purposefully dropping Netflix packets late last year because of disputes those companies were having... Blaming Bungie is too narrow of a mindset with having limited amount of data at this point...

Today is slow, work wise, not a lot going on. I decide to grind away some more and -blam!- me if i wasnt getting booted 10 times an hour. I just had enough when im working the Buried City mission with Heroic on and i know im near the end(first time playing it) and BAM! load screen then "having problems connecting... yadayadayada" Means i should go do something else while i have the free time! haha

I'm on PS4 and I rarely see a connection issue. Could be your ISP or bandwidth can't hang, and drops too many packets w/e causing your disconnects. Hard to say without exploring your network.

I get a disconnect 1/20 of my games, your connection just sucks.

Bold statement sir. Having played both games on release I can say the BF4 servers were 100x worse and probably still are.

I have the same problem. It will kick me out and say connecting to servers. Then it will say error code "anteater" wtf

I've been disconnected once. And that's a roommate of mine was downloading a bunch of updates for his computer.

Theyve been the best servers ive played on in a while. Hope your problems dont persist and stop you from enjoying yourself.
