Not necessarily, although sometimes and as long as you're responsible about it doing so in recreation is fine. I use cannabis to relax and to take any head pain away, also for it's many benefits to the body. They do have cannabis with high CBD and low THC so you get some of the benefits without getting high. Though, you are perfectly in control of your body while high if you need to be.
