Halo 3 Re-populating next week
While I am excited to be able to get Halo 3 for free since my disc is damaged I am more excited to see a social community full of old and new Halo fans play the game that got so much hype and media attention. Me and many people I associate with are pretty much bored with every game we own so It will be a breathe of fresh air to play this game again. My question to the gaming community is do you think making this game free is pointless or should there have been a more worthy game to be free for Gold members

I estimate only about 200 people are gonna be playing it online. Halo 3 is done. Move on and stop living in the past.

I really doubt that the population is going to surge; this is a game that pretty much everyone on Xbox Live has owned, or at least has played.

It'd be nice if it jumps back into the top 20 but I doubt it.

To me, Halo 3 is and always will be the best game available on the 360.

I think I stand by most Xbox gamers when I say who honestly doesn't have a copy of Halo 3 that wants one? Maybe you'll see a hundred more people online then there is now.

I do not think making this game free is pointless until the Xbox 360 is no longer supported. I see people in other threads saying that it is worthy of downloading because even if you don't have the space for it, once you download it once (or start the download and then cancel it) it stays in your download history 'forever'. I read that and automatically think, "if they don't have the space for it now why will they make space for it later?" not to mention "What will happen once the Xbox 360 is no longer supported and you cannot download anything off of Live?"

2 RespuestasI kinda wish my 360 didn't break if its a chance that the Halo 3 servers will be repopulated again. I loved Halo 3 multiplayer it was just a fun a simple multiplayer to jump in, play and not give a fudge about anything else.
