I have a console, I'm not likely to get a new one till big price drop. And most of the people I game with are on the PC. And the fact I can Pre-order Destiny for everything BUT the PC has me worried. There IS a pc market for it and I'm hoping this poll will make it clear to Bungie.

Destiny on PC is a must. I got at least 2 mates ready to preorder it. And any one from millions of Borderlands fans will wait for PC port. I will keep bumping PC threads till I get a PC port... or until i die.

I need Destiny to be on PC. I don't own a console, I don't want to buy a console (I need that money to upgrade my PC), all my friends are on PC, but I'm dying to play Destiny.

They said they aren't sure if they'll have time to finish the port before it's too late after the console release, so they're waiting to see if they can make the time before they make a final decision. They also said they're reluctant to make support for mouse & keyboard 'cause they prefer controllers & designed the game for controllers.

1 RespuestaQuestion for the PC gamers: I may be buying a PC, but Im not sure if I have to. Could I go to a website for a mobile gaming company like gameloft and tell them whats up over here with consoles and how my technology will -blam!- up their minds or do I need a PC to get the full effect of feeling superior while pissing them off?

2 RespuestasEditado por weaslex: 8/25/2013 5:34:06 PMHonestly, every MMO I've played has been on PC. Mostly because I won't hook up internet for a console, because... I have a PC... not just a PC, a sweet in your face gaming custom rig built by me. We're talking 8 core 3.60 ghz AMD 8150 16 gig's of RAM, 7800 series graphics card. Granted, not everyone can build a PC or even have $1100 to blow on something like this. Still, my point is that I play MMO's because my PC is better than anything a console can conjure up. Even cheap gaming rigs have some decent specs that run at $400 now. There's just little point for me to run anything less than on a PC. However, if Bungie doesn't want to sell their game on PC, I think I'll be fine with that too. Titan Fall is coming out for PC, and if I can't choose, I'll pick Titan over Destiny. (Granted, if I had to chose, I think I'd pick Destiny over Titan.) Why, because my experience has shown that if a game is overly hyped, it ends up sucking eggs. The same is true for almost every Final Fantasy, Duke Nukem Forever (Thank godzilla I didn't buy it) and I fear the same will be true with Titan. Still, if not given a choice, I'll buy Titan and never look back. My reasons for this are simple, I only have so much money, Wild Star looks nice, Elder Scrolls Online, Titan Fall, Destiny, ect. I think I can afford two, but not all of them. I just don't have the capital to do buy everything I want, or subscribe to. I'd love to drop the money on Destiny though, so hopefully it'll be released to PC. Hopefully.

I don't oppose it, but it won't happen.

11 RespuestasIt's just not worth it on PC. Too many people just pirate their games to really make much of a profit their. They are saving themselves a headache by not even going there
-
I'm getting it for console - but was seriously considering going PC and want this game to be released for PC. There's two reasons why it isn't coming out (yet) for PC is that Bungie is making the game to be a primarily console game and just works better on console - second, PC has a TERRIBLE environment for pirating and its only going to be released on PC if the console anticipated/current sales look good to lose profit on the PC market.

2 RespuestasSo far the arguments against are time & difficulty to "port" to pc. Compared to making it ready to play for "next gen" and soon to be past gen consoles since backwards comparability is out? Pc gaming is not dead, it's on the rise. Short version: Bungie!!! Make pc version and take our money.

For me they shouldnt have it and if ur not happy -blam!- off and mod skyrim

1 RespuestaI won't beg a company for a PC release. I will sign petitions etc. But will not beg someone to allow me to spend my money. I would really like to see Destiny on PC because I personally don't like gaming on consoles and won't be buying a next gen console. I have played on every console since atari 2600, and once I switched to PC gaming never looked back. I don't belittle people for playing on whatever platform they prefer, I just like my gaming rig better. I also would like to point out to all the people yelling,"PC MASTER RACE!" There are elitist a**holes on every platform so don't just call out the PC gamer jerks.

1 RespuestaI was devastated to learn that Destiny wouldn't be available for play on PC, as it is the only platform I play on.

Editado por NobleAbe: 8/20/2013 5:13:03 PMIf you really want to see destiny for PC you should sign some online petitions http://www.change.org/petitions/bungie-bring-destiny-to-pc http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/release-destiny-on-pc

please bungie i beg of you to add this to pc. I have played all of your games and I love them all. Although I do own an xbox 360 i no longer play it due to the fact that the pc is just better. It has better communities, better servers, looks better, and all around is just a more enjoyable experience. I own every halo game and i have all the achievements in halo 3 and halo 3 odst and I almost have all of them on reach and halo 4 (even though 4 isn't made by you). It might take more work to make a pc version but i guarantee it will be worth it. It will be just straight profit for you. You will gain massive hype about the game with just the announcement of it being on pc and then your game will be a top seller on pc.

Not coming out on PC? Check out how big Borderland 1 and 2 were? See how many DLCs they trow out and how much it is played on PC. People are forgiving how bad Colonial Marines are due to the fact Gearbox gave us two amazing Borderlands. And Destiny is by all means huger, bigger meaner version of Borderlands. Not porting it to PC would be shooting yourself in the foot.
-
They might release it later on

I have a PlayStation, and I played it a lot when I first got it, but now I seriously doubt I am going to buy another console since my PS3 is nothing more than a media device. I pretty much play exclusively on the PC. Any company that doesn't make a game for the PC is effectively trying to commit suicide (heavy handed and melodramatic, I know) in the gaming market.
-
You know who screwed up big time? Rockstar. If you're not gonna bring GTA 5 to pc, at least put it on next gen consoles you FLOPS! Now I can't sell my PS3 as I'll need it to play GTA 5. Good timing Rockstar! Most hyped GTA ever. Going to be a massive game. Probably become one of the most amazing games. BUT YOU RELEASE IT ON CURRENT GEN JUST BEFORE NEXT GEN COMES OUT. ERMAHGERD. LOGIC = 0. PROFITS = SMALL. I'm sorry. I'll go now.
-
Yes i really want a pc version. People voting "no" are just bitter, selfish, or trolling. There is no reason not to bring it over. If they can port it cross gen, then porting the ps4 version over to pc should not really be a problem considering the architecture is not that different. It really shouldn't take that long and it would be more than worth it.

Editado por CRAsucks: 6/27/2013 2:30:51 AMThe reason it needs to be on PC for me and many others I know is that most people do not have multiple TV's and consoles in their houses, but most people do have multiple PC's (desktops, laptops, netbooks). For a multi-player game split screen for multiple people on a console is useless. For myself and my kids we regularly play multi-player games, the ones that are preferred all always the PC versions where we get our own screen that is not viewable by everyone else. If Destiny really is going to be the next big deal, that may even have a chance to compete with World of Warcraft, it MUST be on PC. It would be great if everyone regardless of whether they are on a console or PC could be on the same servers. Personally I will only be buying this game if it comes out on PC.
-
The only reason I am getting an Xbox One is for destiny and Halo 5. I've been PC gaming a lot more lately(SWTOR, GW2, Planetside 2) and find the platform far superior to Xbox 360, so I would really like to play this on PC.

Please. Just cut a deal with STEAM. You have no idea how much dosh you're going to get. If you announce it for PC, not only will that give you another PR boost, you'll be opening your game to a market known to show profit. You don't even need strict DRM. Have you played Serious Sam 3? There is no DRM in that game, but when it suspects itself of being a pirated copy it sends out an invincible enemy at you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e91q5BtlxK0 Not only does this save your original purchasers of the game a head ache of verifying their purchase, it makes it difficult for pirates to enjoy the game. I get where you are coming from, Bungie. You're scared of lost sales. Everyone in this economy is now-days. Launch it for PC, if not later than the console's debut. I would rather wait for something optimized, than have a terrible port. Steam will save you. Trust in Gaben.
