I have a console, I'm not likely to get a new one till big price drop. And most of the people I game with are on the PC. And the fact I can Pre-order Destiny for everything BUT the PC has me worried. There IS a pc market for it and I'm hoping this poll will make it clear to Bungie.

It should be on Mac first. The forums would be set a blazed.

There was a stream library leak that states march, which fits with what has been said by bboth bungie and activision. Activision have said a pc launch is a good fit and they would like to see destiny on pc. Interpretation : Its coming to pc we just need a when. Bungie have said they won't do a pc version while designing for 4 platforms already, they dont want to stretch their resources any further. Interpretation : Once bungie drop the last gen consoles, after the major dlc is finished, they will have a team to work on a pc port/version.

11 RespuestasI'd actually prefer to see it stay off PC. The PC community ruins everything.

Bungie has previously said that Destiny might come out for PC. They said it could be compatible, but they just want to prepare for launch right now. It will probably come out spring 2015.

30 RespuestasFor some reason I don't think PC gaming has a bright future ahead of itself. Games are gradually becoming more hardware demanding, but the hardware in the average PC is falling behind more and more. It can't keep up. Now this is ignoring high end PC hardware. Because high end PC hardware can eat any game. So my point is, eventually the only people that will be able to game on a PC are the people with really high end hardware (which is kinda the case now). But the majority of PC users have no where near high end hardware. THEN there is the most important fact of all. Consoles are becoming cheaper (PS3 was $1000 at launch in Australia... PS4 here is $550 at launch... Say WHAT?!). This doesn't help things for the PC at all. I may be completely wrong. But I'm tired. I need to sleep. I have a physics exam tomorrow. Goodnight.

8 RespuestasBungie has already said they aren't making Destiny PC-compatible in the near future.

23 RespuestasI'm not a pc fan but I think you guys should get it for pc so that way if you don't have an Xbox/xb1 or ps3/4 you don't have to buy one when you got a good pc
-
Well i can only say one thing. If they release destiny 2-3 years from now ill deffinitly not buy a game 2-3 years old and more than that deffinitly not buying it for its release price. Sorry bungie but if november/december 2014 as late destiny is not on my desk, it will never be. By that time there will be a lot of other games that worth the 60 buck from release because they actually release on pc (the witcher 3), but ill not buy a 2-3 yo game and deffinitly not for 60€. Soz bungie. No pc, no destiny, at least for me.

1 RespuestaI believe in some interview Bungie said the PC isn't planned due to the fact they are already spread thin over the 4 consoles and they can't afford to do PC w/o sacrificing parts of the game for all consoles. Since fanboying seems apparent here, I'll say this phrase again: I BELIEVE. Please don't hate on me if I'm wrong.

1 RespuestaEditado por weaslex: 8/26/2013 5:11:23 AMI think the real reason this isn't getting released to PC is because it has licencing issues to work out. Maybe theres issues with publishing on a PC, maybe there's negotiations in the works. The truth is, we really don't know, and saying that they won't release it because the game will be hacked is very unlikely. I have faith that issues will be worked out, if not, there's other games out there that are competing for that coveted best MMO slot, and it's a bit hard without a PC release. Most of us PC users, are huge MMO fans, we put WoW, Everquest, Rift, KOTOR Online, Eve, Star Trek Online, ect. on the map. If it's an MMO and not released to PC, that's a bit of a shame, since it looks sweeter than candy, still, there are plenty of fish in the MMO sea, I won't be too disappointed if I end up playing Wild Star or Titan's Fall and not Destiny. May I also state that PC gaming is pretty big right now, even if PC sales are down, gaming PC's and custom rigs are on the rise. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/03/28/pc-gaming-in-still-not-dead-shocker/ http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2013/08/07/for-struggling-pc-market-its-pc-gamers-to-the-rescue/ Huh... so PC gaming is still a big deal... who knew?

I mean Christ if EA can release FIFA 14 for PS2 (yes I said PS2) activision and binge can knock out destiny on PC I mean come on the game is developed on a PC

22 RespuestasI can't seem to understand the fascination with PC gaming. A high end PC that could run this game at LEAST decently cost somewhere near the likes of $999 where as a next-gen console is in the ball-park of $400. I mean sure a PC has amazing graphics, but look at the cost! I mean, unless you have a grand to blow on a computer by all means, go ahead. But if your someone wanting to play the game and play it on something cheap that runes excellently, console is for you.

6 RespuestasDedicated PC gamers make up over 50% of the gaming market. 15% [~13mil is the popular number] of that 70million dedicated PC gamers pirate games (of any kind). 200 million gamers play PC, but they are a mixed crowd, bearing in mind that 300million people just have a computer capable of gaming and that the 70million dedicated PC gamers are among them. The last best estimates for console gamers put their total numbers for all consoles at just over the 60 million mark. To not put this game out for PC is financial negligence at best. http://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2009/03/03/just-how-many-pc-gamers-are-there http://www.forbes.com/sites/emmawoollacott/2013/05/15/finally-some-objective-figures-on-games-piracy/

12 RespuestasOh my god! Quit kissing Bungie employees's feet by begging them to release Destiny on PC. I voted "Shouldn't be on PC". Reasons?
Torrent/Mods/Hack.
That's why Bungie won't release their games on PC since Halo 3, i can't forgive how they were unhappy about everyone modded Halo 2. Go ahead, you can mute/dislike me if you think i'm wrong.
