Sucking at something is the first step to becoming really good at something. The vast majority of people can’t play an instrument (let alone concoct a melody or arrange a tune), so you’ve already got a massive advantage. Music is also entirely subjective, what is gold to some is -blam!- to others, totally independent of quality or skill or any other variables. I’ve played some shows that I know were slop bullshit, yet there’s always some drunk in the room who thought it was the greatest thing they’ve ever seen. Do it because you love it, plain and simple. Nothing else matters
Every musician friend I have always only ever hears their mistakes when making their music.
I promise you, your audience had a great time. If an audience wanted a perfect performance....they'd be sitting at home listening to a recording.
Any live performance is great for being unique and never exactly the same. It's what makes live events so much fun.
I wouldn't stress it if I were you. Even the most successful bands I like keep complaining about how much they hate their hit songs. It seems that it's a really common theme even with the best of the best.
