Check your quest log - do you still have the 'whispers of the past' quest? if so, complete it using the old version of the mission located in 'Portal' -> 'world' (at the top) -> 'legends'

The quest can also be completed in the portal version (it's how I finally completed it).

Its buggy in the Portal version, I've had to run a few people through the normal version because it wouldn't trigger the quest to update (they had tried on multiple difficulties) but it would give them the 3 catalyst quests.
