Why is the patrol area empty.
Why am I the only one in my patrols?
Why do I need to be in a fireteam to see other players?
Where are the new 'public events'? ya know, new activities in area's that you can do with other players in the zones without needing to fireteam it?
Please get rid of this private 'patrol' area. Make it public. It's really boring. It's not suppose to be a singleplayer experience.

10 RespuestasBecause it’s nobody there it makes me love the game more. I can finally enjoy a world without other players sending clan invites, fireteam invites, etc. I don’t have to worry about emoting blueberries trying to get me to interact with them. It’s just peace and quiet.
-
I think its nice I can test a build without any modifiers from other activities, focus on banshee bounties if I'm grinding that rep, take in the entire pale heart in a more personal manner than the other destinations. Even doing Overthrow isn't too bad solo its interesting figuring out how each one works. Plus if you want people around just que into the matchmaking at the destination of your choice. It confuses me how so many are complaining about a patrol space being solo but also ask that there be more solo accessibility. (Unrelated to OP but still)
-
Good I’m tired of people killing every add. Feels good to actually be able to be in a big area and use my build and not race to enemies before the other guy does.
-
Their is nice things from both points of views. Its great you get a private place to really test out your new “builds/guns” that isnt just limited to lost sectors. Your able to find little secrets on your own time instead of little jimmy running up and pointing out every little secret thing or collectable. The new area is Scaled to Solo so it feels fluid for Solo. But yeah i can see why some people see it as hollow. Little Jimmy isnt there to shoot everything before you can even touch it with a ability. Little Jimmy isnt emoting on a poor acolyte to make you chuckle. Little jimmy isnt staring intently into your eyes with the burning passion to ruin your scenic moment. He is not there to make the game feel more alive and about because hes not at that point in the game and exploring. If they scaled up the difficulty up on overthrow areas kinda like escalation Protocol and took out the grace period of 4 minutes for beating it before more enemies spawn then i could see a reason to make it public.

2 RespuestasFrom a narrative point of view, it makes sense. The traveler/Pale Heart is freaking huge. The chances of you accidentally running into someone in a structure that big would be very unlikely.
-
Not sure how representative it is, but it seems like a lot of people in this thread that play mostly or all solo like having a more solo centered location. The Pale Heart also seems like it might change and grow over time depending on whatever so who knows. There has been a lot of people online asking for something where they didn't have to battle against other players to get things done though. Other than that, most actual activities seem to have gotten more of a team focus applied to them so everyone appears to have gotten something they want. You can also go into it with a fireteam if I'm not mistaken so it will at least be interesting to see how this approach pans out if its intended to be this way.
-
1 RespuestaYou sound like you haven’t opened up the Pale Heart yet. If you finished the campaign then do the post campaign missions linked to expanding prismatic and getting the new exotics. Then there’s a giant yellow icon for the new activity. It has matchmaking and you get random rolls on the new exotic special sword and other loot.

6 RespuestasHonestly i dont mind it, we’re supposed to be secluded. Overthrow is quite fun solo
-
I like it being solo but maybe a public patrol option for those that want that. It would make everyone happy
-
It would of been a perfect opportunity to increase how many players can be in a patrol zone in the traveler, given the fact that we were tasked to save it and help it repair etc. would of been nice to see 10-11 other players. Make it feel like all guardians are there to save it, not just 1. The zone just feels dead to me. It’s fun to look around but I think it’ll soon be a forgotten zone once players move on from it to another thing. It’s also pay-walled too so new lights can’t even explore it.
-
1 RespuestaI have not been able to play new episode yet but if what you are saying is they took out public areas and everything is just fireteam that would be a massive step in wrong direction. All these years and some of my favorite silly fun moments in this game involved public spaces goofing off waiting for events to start or just testing weapons.
-
1 RespuestaIf they plan to make public variant, make it option you can choose when landing on the destination. But Bungie, make sure to keep the private variant of the location available as well.
-
4 RespuestasI’m hoping we get an option to keep it this way after the final mission, I’m tired of randoms being annoying patrols, hell I wish they’d give the ability to solo queue the strike playlist.
-
It’s great solo. Events keep your numbers if you leave and return later to the area. No one to interfere when doing Pathfinder kills.
-
3 RespuestasAlso, the patrol feels easy. Maybe if they made it so that the Patrol Zones got incrementally harder as you got closer to the Monolith, Made it so that as you increase each level of Overthrow, the game progressively got harder too, and made the rewards equal to boot, then it would have been a fun, with the introduction of Matchmaking, then the activity would feel GOOD. It would be fun, a possible way to earn a ton of Ego Sums, and just be nice to play. We already know that in Patrol areas can increase and decrease in difficulty with Cysts.

Editado por Golden: 6/8/2024 3:48:33 PMYeah wish the new patrol areas had players in them. Would be much more enjoyable seeing like 4-5 others fighting off the overthrow
-
Yeah noticed it too, pretty boring imo, all these enemies but nobody around..
-
12 RespuestasAsk all the players who've been stomping their feet demanding Bungie make the game solo-centric.
-
1 RespuestaYeah it’s really boring being single player in patrol
-
I noticed that too.

If this stay solo, I be totally glad have own challenge and farming like yoyo. It been great so far.. these strand and stasis boss give me nut crackle when they tag along cause damage and soo you start for back all they do run off and take the mick if you..

3 RespuestasEditado por zmach1: 6/7/2024 3:06:40 PMI imagine quite a few players are still trying to get through all the missions to even enter patrol. They sure did not make it quick to get to the new patrol zone. I haven’t gotten there yet. Edit: There is more to this than just a delay with players reaching the Patrol Zone. Hopefully, the Raid clear and completion of the story will change the situation.
-
Agreed. Its really ruining the expansion for me...badly.

Oh right never noticed 🤷🏼♂️😂
