You said over a year ago that you were suspending/banning input mod cheaters and you haven't. People say you have been collecting data. The problem is worse than it's ever been and you have done nothing. Input mod users are running rampant and make the experience a horrible one. Until you do something about this your game will never be good. The PvP team won't do anything because your game has a cancer that you are letting grow instead of being aggressive with it and destroying it, you are letting it grow and will eventually kill your game.
You keep adding good ideas to the game and it saddens me to see wonderful implemented things to the game, not having the desired outcome. The game will not survive for 7 months like this. PVE this season (still waiting for the dungeon) is very lame. Last season's was more enjoyable. PvP might not be your focus but it keeps the game alive when the PvE gets old. Input mod devices are killing PvP. If the game is barely surviving 3 months and the last month is horrible. I don't think it will do well for 7. You need to do something about it.

2 RespuestasYep. It’s rampant on console now. Their aim assist and perfect headshot ttk in every engagement. So easy to tell who is cheating. Anyone else have games where your aim assist completely goes away while the other team can’t miss? That’s some sus crap too!

The only real way to get rid of these is to sue the makers out of existance. I'm kind of surpised Sony and Microsoft haven't done this yet.

4 RespuestasDon't listen to anything they say. Look up trials cheaters on PC. Some of these folks have been cheating for years not even changing their name lol. I saw bungie canned most of the security system in thr layoffs on top of that.

18 RespuestasEditado por Kiro - 13: 11/30/2023 3:23:50 AMThere is a way to completely remove 3rd party/input mod devices from pvp. Create M&K match making then add M&K compatibility to console. Remove the match making system where console players can only match vs console players and funnel all players into this type of system. If your fireteam consists of mixed input devices it would then send the players into a mixed input match making queue(exactly like when a console player joins a steam players fireteam). To address the issue of dividing the player base(as this could cause increased queue timers due to increase sub-division) the cross play system would be done away with. This means if you play console with a controller you will now match players on PC but only if they are playing controller or vise versa for M&K players. This system would work entirely the same as it does now but instead of creating console only lobbys it would be create input based lobbys. It would over all be a superior system with more benefits then the current match making system via: Increase player density per activity now match making is no longer platform type based, decrease queue time also because match making is no longer platform type based, remove 3rd party device cheating from m&k lobbys.

5 RespuestasLiterally ZERO games have successfully stopped cheating - and I don't think Bungie has historically done a great job, but they're better than most

1 RespuestaI was looking forward to it but yeah you see ridiculous crouching up and down like 100 times per second while headshotting lol or sniping

6 RespuestasNobody is successfully combating said devices. They make too much money from them and keep them relevant. With said companies, that is their only job to do while the companies that own hardware have too many things to do and will not spend that much money combating them. I know companies have “said” they are.. but they are circumvented in weeks if not days. Sony implemented a detection system in the ps5… and that is already out the window. Microsoft said only licensed third party hardware will work… And they work with no issues. It sucks… but all we can do is hope it will be shut down eventually. But they won’t.
