Of what?
What do you actually expect us to be doing?
Another 44 days of farming Savathun’s spire and the summoning circles?
The way Bungie goes about their seasons is deeply flawed, they spend all this effort whipping up these game modes that go on to get shelved.
How many thousands of hours of talented developer time has been wasted pumping out these hoard modes every couple of months?
Personally, I’d rather if all the effort spent on seasonal content for a year, was put into a single thing that might actually be good. Evergreen rewards, new gameplay experiences, actual fun.
I’m fully expecting to get lashed with a bunch of people telling me to play something else, but I don’t need the advice. I’m so used to the seasonal slump at this point I specifically look for games to play during that time.
Fact remains, this seasonal model hinders Destiny’s quality by forcing the developers to pump out crap content instead of getting to focus their talents on something actually worth experiencing.
Destiny is in a frankly embarrassing state.

1 RespuestaYeah seasons have been stale for a long time now.

Editado por TheShadow: 10/16/2023 1:41:17 PM
How many thousands of hours of talented developer time has been wasted pumping out these hoard modes every couple of months?
A hell of a lot, but they don't mind because they can pump out the content and no matter how bad it is, people will still buy it. This is why most of the content in this game is so poorly designed and why most of the talent is working on other projects that you are funding instead of this game. I mean why care if the community/player base doesn't care? The community especially streamers, content creators, etc... that help sell this poor quality work is the actual problem.

6 RespuestasEditado por AendettV: 10/17/2023 10:44:12 AMOther games exist, and I'm positive those devs would encourage you to play some of them. I mean, you have 44 days and nothing to do right? That's what you said? Also, Duolingo is free (as long as you don't make mistakes...), and learning a new language is a good use of time. Buena Suerte!

15 RespuestasDang if only they were changing the seasonal model.... Hm. Oh well. That'll never happen I guess.

1 RespuestaAfter the season finale bungie needs to get the narrative in a better place
-
5 RespuestasCan't wait until final shape, this game can finally have it's long awaited death. Everyone can move on and we'll never hear about destiny ever again.
-
I can catch up on all the season stuff I have been ignoring, maybe finish the story tonight.
-
This game has been boring since witch queen. Reason I typically just play the seasonal quest than play apex till the next season.
-
Another 44 days to finish your seasonal Title, Crota's End Title, any gilds, grind adept weapons..... The list can go on. Not to mention FotL which launches tomorrow. The criticism about the disposability of content is entire divorced from the length of a season, because even expansion content suffers from that same time limit. Instead of having large drought periods between larger releases, we now have smaller droughts more frequently. You could play Prison of Elders, you could play Court of Oryx and Archon's Forge. Similar situation with Pre-Beyond Light stuff like the Forges, Reckoning and Menagerie. The real question is why does the current permanent content like Empire Hunts, Wellspring and Terminal Overload not share that same factor. Is it difficulty tiers locking you from matchmaking the more rewarding versions? As much as we might critque them, I think Battlegrounds are the closest we've come to that sort of permanent seasonal content. Episodes don't seem to be changing things anytime soon with the revolving door model, but hopefully the expansion content can be bolstered a little to allow for more replayability. An idea might be to introduce a game mode in the expansion, with each Episode offering some sort of refresh or update that expands the game mode.

3 RespuestasIt appears having time off the game might be beneficial. Maybe try something new?

3 RespuestasIf you want a complete change try Starfield its completely engrossing. I am a Destiny tragic so I will be back but not now just to do the same old thing again and a again.

1 RespuestaPlay another game. I haven’t been on destiny for real in weeks. Since I gotten off I finished a cod BP, apex, and halo season 3. Now I’m playing nba 2k with friends and online PvP shooters until the new season drops. I also have gamepass and they have been dropping some solid games. Give destiny a break, you’ll thank me when you return next season
-
3 RespuestasYou don’t have to play the game. Other games have down periods lol
-
1 RespuestaScary thing is this is better than it was. There used to only be dlc every 7 months or so.
-
15 RespuestasYou know how there are people that play less because they have work, school, etc etc. That is why there are 44 more days to go. Not everything is timed exclusively for people like us who have the time to be done with everything so quickly. Plus, just becuase there are 100days in a season, that does not mean you have to play for 100 days. Play as long as it takes to finish what you want to do then dip out until the next season. It's not that deep.
-
1 RespuestaThere is the Halloween event coming. It appears you forgot about that. But by the rage in your post, sounds like a break is more of what you need. There are plenty of games out there.
-
I remember season of arrivals with beyond light getting delayed and the season getting extended, seems like Bungie might be riding the cash cow now

Getting padded out with FOTL then we will have Dawning. Pretty much feels like a drying up of content when it comes to a "Season".

3 RespuestasEditado por iLLiCiT: 10/15/2023 8:50:42 AMUnfortunately bungie are aggressively money hungry & we didn't see it at first bcoz of how poorly D1, then D2, released because they couldn't nickle & dime a dying playerbase. The dev talks clearly showed this was the plan all along, & when they celebrates after the split it wasn't because as they claimed they're where creatively free, it was because the big microtransaction plan would now be set to work & all go to them. They know it's throwaway content that's why all the 3rd tier Devs & inexperienced new hires now run D2, it's a perfect storm of an addicted 500k players, an already built sandbox, & the engine/spaghetti code excuse they've used for 10 years. I can't believe they actually admitted the studio isn't setup to create new content like maps & strikes, openly admitting patches & tweaks are the level of content they're built to give us. It's not they're inept, they clearly aren't, but they are 100% taking this community for granted, they know the addicts will never quit & they've no competition. The only language they speak is money & until people wise up nothing will change, & I really don't think they'll care if people leave they'll let the game die, they don't have the resources or mindset to suddenly improve this dung heap built up over 10-12 years, it is what is. I mean imagine still supporting PS4 in 2030 (yes that's the latest plan). Deleted all my characters & vault last week, just keeping a titan & clearing the story incase I fancy playing final shape but I've cancelled my pre order & I'm spending my gaming time in MW2 & MW3 beta & think my money's going there instead. Destiny is just a muddled mess these days, frustration, wtf moments, connection issues, Devs who lie endlessly & I've no faith in the company or the franchise anymore. I can't even say it's been an enjoyable 10 years bcoz we've been dragged from pillar to post with the only carrot being potential & now that's gone too. Look back the crapp we've put up with, the lies, the weak content, such a shame.

After skimming through these posts; if Bungie doesn't care about its base and are done with us and this game--then why would one spend 150.00+ for another game from same company? I guess I'll wait for feedback. There is no FOMO when I how it turns out 🤔
-
lol You know this game is boring when you max out on glimmer and don't care b/c you have nothing to spend it on b/c you've mastered about 300 items in your vault. I start deleting exotic and prime ingrams b/c you don't need the shards...going away, or the glimmer. I popped in for IB and just realized I don't have a lick of armor on lol doesn't matter! This game needs a real refresh 😎
-
To tie up loose ends, to farm exotics,to grind ad farm, to upgrade crafted, to complete catalysts. The you have new lights just starting their seasons so many reasons why.
-
The season is never supposed to be completely full. It's a time to reinvigorate your interest in the game, usually by taking a long break and playing other stuff.
-
My advice to you.... Use the dictionary, there is no such thing as hoard mode, maybe you meant horde. Proper language use promotes better acceptance of your arguments
