The votes on posts.
It's interesting to me how many posts will automatically be sent to 0 for seemingly no reason. One individual made a post asking for help in trying to reclaim an old audio file, which at the time is sitting at 0. My question is, who is actively disliking posts like this? Do we have some sort of ghost in the machine, a prime mover in the Bungie.net forums that we had no knowledge of beforehand?

I never considered it important enough to care since most of my downvoted posts come from the salt mines. Imo, an upvote/downvote system is counterintuitive to a discussion board.

1 RespuestaThe vote system is still one of the shittiest things that came with the site / app change. They tried to turn this place into some Reddit / Twitter amalgam and failed. At least the number doesn't go negative anymore since people like Mad Max constantly whinged about it

Would it really matter? Anyone could come down here and downvote and return to lurking. The likes/dislikes are not that important...

I don't know that I've ever 'disliked' a post before. If I disagree with what the OP has to say, I'll either comment or ignore it and move on.
