After seeing how atrocious the execution of something as innovative as Destiny was reduced down to a corporate microtransaction money grab with a forgettable story, a mindless weekly rotation, and a boring seasonal model made solely for the purpose to bleed out the newest mundane content, is there really any faith in this company left to not mimic the same mistakes and overall execution of Marathon? It just really sucks that none of the leadership feel the need to at least apologize to those who have been around since vanilla Destiny (PVP mains especially). I often times find myself thinking about how invested Bungie was in this game in the past with raids, secret missions, exotic weapons quests (the Outbreak Prime secret was so damn good), etc. The love is obviously non-existent now and I have zero faith in Marathon being any different. It’s a shame because I’m sure those at Bungie making this content feel the same way as us and are essentially being forced by the upper echelons of leadership to create trash content (like, fishing…really?) and be forced to put on a smile and act like nothing is wrong.
