What’s y’all opinion on Destiny as an overall game? Genuinely curious…

Good game with lots of potential to be amazing bogged by mediocrity and poor management .

Destiny 1, still fun. Destiny 2, yeah its ok, but a good example of wasted potential. Mostly a great example of what corporations do best. People seem to think because they produce video games, they are any different than tobacco or oil companies.

So time consuming to the point I no longer care. The thought of having rare items etc was cool until it’s you missing out. I honestly wish they didn’t market the game as free to play. It’s the most expensive free to play game over even played. If you want to keep up with anything in the game your gonna be paying for full price dlc. Bungie haven’t cared about the game for so long it’s become the norm. I see people complaining about servers even though the issue has been so bad since D1. For payed content there is far to many reskined items. Vendor refresh etc just king is stopped a while back. Kinda funny how little they care about keeping there own promises.

1 RespuestaBest game in the world that I cannot recommend to anyone and the only reason I play it is crippling addiction. Not a good game.

Destiny is like standing in wet cement, the longer you stay the harder it is to leave.

Gunplay is the only thing that has me coming back, quality has gone down drastically, it’s actually astonishing that they decided to up the prices while delivering less content.

5 RespuestasI’m extremely disillusioned. 2000+ hours. Playing Destiny is like being in a relationship with a drug addict. You keep hoping they get better but they just let you down time after time.
-
it's dropped a lot in quality.

If it wasn't for my clan, I'm not sure I would be playing anymore. Increased bugs/glitches combined with increased server issues are souring my experience. Increasing monetization and prices while the game is so unstable is tone deaf. As is announcing Marathon will get everything D2 players have begged for (namely dedicated servers, better anticheat, etc). D2 has some awesome things going for it, but when I'm repeatedly booted to orbit or the title screen during activites because their servers/code are so unstable, it makes is really hard to enjoy the things they are doing right.

It could be gudder.

4 RespuestasI enjoy the game. As far as rose tinted glasses, I’m not a chicken, so I don’t wear them.
-
2 RespuestasAs a game it’s good If you want to cry about cosmetics and artwork then -blam!- you

2 RespuestasI still enjoy the time I spend in the game. Deep down, I really do. But that's mostly chalked up to just being able to hang out with friends. (And not playing Crucible often. That helps) And guns still feel good to shoot and no other game really has the same feel that Destiny gives us. That said, we see it steadily going downhill, but we've been here this long...may as well see the bottom of the hill. After Final Shape is done and gone, we'll see what happens. We want to spend more time in the game, just wish there was more to do. Or if the things to do actually felt rewarding.

Love making builds, love unleashing said builds. Genuinely sad about what the could be but never will be.

The game used to be great but bungie does not seem to care that much anymore. It got boring and just bad imho.. The longer this seasonal model went on the worse the game got. Every time its the same kind of mode with just another theme. Stand on plate or bring thing to another thing. Season of the deep felt pretty dead and boring 2nd day in. Gambit and crucible still not touched. even strikes/gm's remain pretty much untouched, Core playlists they call them, crazy. And Because of weapon crafting there is no point in doing raids and other activities that has the red borders anymore after crafting them. All the bugs and downtimes all the time aint helping either. And the only thing that bungie has to say is that they are working on 1 singular catalyst, for a 4 or 5 year old weapon probably, amazing. Not trying to hate on the game, its just not that much fun for me anymore. If the reader of this message still enjoys the game than thats great i wish i could too. Also big thanks to eververse. And the ppl who fell for it. Hope the 2 second long emotes that you used about 1 to 2 times were worth it.

It’s a pretty solid game. With a decent amount of activities to do. Although many of these activities/game modes need updating, corrections, and or need to be scrapped in order to make room for better. Not to mention the amount of money the game requires to participate in specific activities; or to acquire certain items which of course are not necessary for purchase. But overall the game is quite fun and engaging in my opinion. Just don’t play it too much of course to avoid burn out.

Still very fun. It's harder to find good PVP games, though

1 RespuestaI love Destiny, but it's like being a parent and watching your kid waste their potential. I know that it's capable of so much more than it's showing, but it's content to just languish in mediocrity...oh no, Destiny is me.
-
Some good, some bad, a lot of inbetween. As long as I'm enjoying the good, I'll be here.
-
1 RespuestaDogsh!t plain and simple

I'm still enjoying it and feel I get my money's worth. Rose-tinted glasses or not, that's my primary concern.
