I understand that the graphs show you think that the system is work but it is def not. It is far too punishing to try to get better at and play in this system. If I somehow slog my way through +5 or +40 point wins to get to adept 2 every single loss no matter if I even go positive is a guaranteed -200. the other aspect of when I get matched against much better players they are clearly going to stomp me, which is fine and happens but its also a guarantee -200 there is no way I can possibly compete against players of a point and half kd higher than me and not get stomped making it an automatic -200 then I manage a win finally after going down 600 points and its a +5 when we barely win the match. This system is so frustrating and does not work. We aren't playing a ranked br where we spawn in with negative points and have to fight our way against a massive lobby of people to get to positive which is almost what this system feels like. I feel like bungie has this data point of where I should be and if I get above that it will do anything either who it matches me against or by point loss to get me back down to where it thinks I belong. So it really comes across as bungie has decided who does and who does not get to get the comp emblem. If you are not in the skill level they deem should get it then they will block every chance you have of getting there.

Here’s how point scoring works:
As you continue to compete in the Competitive Division, your Division Rating is adjusted based on four major factors: - Match outcome: Whether you win or lose. - Division inflation/deflation: How far above or below your division is compared to your Skill. - Match performance: How well you performed on a match-to-match basis. - Player-to-lobby Skill delta: How your Skill compares to everyone else in the match.
Source: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/51947
