Are your rose colored glasses that thick?
The only thing I liked from vicarious was whisper mission. and during that era content was horrible, content cadence was every 6 months if we were lucky .
it sickens me that you can’t see past your nostalgia blinders.
It’s like people that say D1 was better. Lmao

D1 was better. Bungie is a trash studio
D1 was better. Bungie is a trash studio
In what ways, we have better exotics and better endgame content only thing that game had going was better PvP modes and better strike loot
-
Atleast bungie cared somewhat more about the habe back then as it was catered to vets instead of blueberries and streamers It’s not even catered to blueberries anymore
-
Yeah forsaken was such an horrible time to be around... Shadowkeep was definitely filled with content :)
-
Vicarious didn’t make the entire expansion, they helped with certain parts. Bungie still had complete oversight and creative direction on all of the content
Vicarious didn’t make the entire expansion, they helped with certain parts. Bungie still had complete oversight and creative direction on all of the content
News Flash! Most of this game's work was outsourced, and mind you Activions had to provide other studies to do most of the work knowing this business signed a contract with NetEase for a new IP and other projects. It's why there is barely anything added to this game now, and why there is a lot of very poor-quality work being done. What are you trying to pass off here knowing Bungie is a small studio?
-
Vicarious wasnt the only studio working on forsaken with bungie. Also...we all saw what was an expansion made by bungie only. Shadowkeep...aka a dlc with the exact same content as warmind. -1 dungeon -1 raid -1 or 2 pvp maps. -1 new strike (warmind had 2 but these were story missions so ill count the two as one) -a 2h campaign. -an old destination brought back (except mars was better because it was actually new areas unlike the moon) -warmind added more new weapons tough. -same number of exotics. And...warmind also had Escalation protocol and adventures (something that disappeared without a single word btw) And...thats pretty much it. Nothing innovating... Except the price that was twice the warmind price. Felt pretty rough.

Editado por FataLVisioN_Oo: 4/2/2023 10:56:16 AMD2 is better in some ways but in most D1 was better 🤙 I'll take fleshed out content once a year over the same recycled model with recycled guns every 3 months 🤷♂️ at least we aren't banking motes every season I guess like we were for a while 🤣

D1 is very active now with new players and returning veterans who are tired of the nonsense in D2. Someone in the forums recently mentioned Red Death. The sound of that gun can be heard infrequently these days. I use Ice Breaker quite a lot. If you are patient, you can solo the Nightfall. The only difficult part of it is the final boss fight. I ran dozens of strikes during the past 2 weeks. It was almost like playing a new game because I had been away from D1 for so long.

Editado por FataLVisioN_Oo: 4/2/2023 9:14:44 PMI'd play D1 if they reverted the special ammo changes in PvP and turned back on trials. Those are the only things that bummed me out in D1. People can say it's rose tinted glasses all they want but I preferred the DLC model. Yes we'd have times where there was no content for 7+ months but I'd play trials/other games so that never bothered me.
-
With the state D2 is right now in regards to Crucible? No way in hell they'd turn on Trials and Iron Banner in D1. That would spell the end of D2's PvP player-wise. Hell, they disabled Trials and Iron Banner on D1 right before the release of D2 to avoid competing with themselves.
-
Pretty much that's what's sad lmao 🤣 almost like they knew it was an inferior product
-
My guess is that since the feedback from the open beta of D2 was "less than ideal" in regards to the dual primary system and abilities cooldown, they shut D1's Trials and and IB to "force" people who liked those activities into D2, since (I believe) changing something like abilities cooldown was easier than reworking the entire weapon systems. Besides that, there would be no reason at all to not let those activities be available.

D1 is actually better.
-
D1 Age of Triumph was the bomb, it was better then Destiny 2 Year 1. I dont even know where the story is going it just seems to have lost the ball
-
Menagerie was good tbf, better than anything bungie created in seasons.
-
Not even worth it
-
Dang. That's bait.

D1 WAS a better game. I still go back and play it. The reason it's so annoying and why we are so upset with D2 is because they're making the SAME EXACT mistakes as they did in D1. And by the end, they had made an amazing game. The rise of iron Era was as close to perfect as destiny ever got. Then D2 has been mistake after mistake. But not new ones. The same ones. We have better QoL now for sure. Better physics, yes. More depth to the story, sure. But the game feels more childish. (Riddled with stupid, off beat jokes and sarcasm that isn't actually funny to anyone but 13 year olds. Bad dialogue. Bad voice acting) The pacing feels off (look at lightfall itself. We "lost" the battle and then just go back to strikes and patrols for a year like it didnt happen) The content gameplay is a repetitive loop of the same exact thing every season. 5-8 weeks of the same drip fed activity with some new dialogue. For an entire year now, we've been doing 1 battleground each week and then a holoprojector talk in the helm. It's dull. We know what to expect 90% of the time. D1 added the weekly featured raids and added the ornament system for doing it. All the raids became viable again. They had a purpose. Endgame had a purpose. D2 still doesn't have that feature brought back and endgame players are tired of waiting. The slow drip fed release of seasons is destroying this game. I don't want to sign in every week to do a 10 minute quest and then be halted again. I much preferred being able to play through the whole dlc over a week or 2 and then play what content I enjoyed on my own time. Not feel forced into a schedule like it's my job. D1 was a better game. A harder game. A more enjoyable game. D2 is better because of modernization. That is it.

Editado por Rastaman (GRANDMASTER): 4/2/2023 3:55:12 PMIf they would change , remove and sunsett pretty much everything in d1 and replace it with content that you have already seen but is somehow different then would you go back to d1 ? I don't think so , once a game is great then it remains like that and after years they make another game and the real fans can always come back to it. But no , updating the same game for years and years while removing , changing , sunsetting the whole game causes many glitches and things that used to work fine cannot handle it anymore cause it is too much.

You said it better then i ever could.

Editado por Galactic Zones: 4/1/2023 8:54:18 PMWell said 👏 Rise of Iron was Destiny’s peak. All downhill from there.

Closest we ever got was forsaken and taken king. Both amazing eras but rise of iron was pinnacle
