The section starts by acknowledging the community wants these activities to be more rewarding, but ends by stating the community feedback has been to make these activities more challenging, and then proceeds to explain how these activities will get more challenging without mentioning how they're going to get more rewarding. Am I missing something?

This is why they told us a week early all the ways they are screwing up they game. How can we expect a company like this to stop cheaters? Bungie are cheaters themselves! They twist our feedback, throttle xp gain, make the game harder so we might think there is more game there. Then lie straight to our face and tell us we frakkin asked for it! Every time they make this or that more powerful to our benefit, there is some manipulation of the sandbox that nullifies any gain. [i][b]Gunship[/b][/i]

  • Lol. Dont forget they removed singe, and burn. But added surge and threat.....so they just changed the text? They added surge(burn) and overcharge But also increased the health of combatants to account for.....wait for it......surge and overcharge. Except raids and dungeons, where there is suge and overcharge but no extra combatant health, but a -20 power handicap. Overcharge only exists in higher level activity, and only on specific weapons but Surge and overcharge dont stack....making overcharge what use? You cant make that stuff up! Whatever they are smoking, its funny as all hell.

    • I'm genuinely enjoying the idiotic replies arguing for these changes with crap like "skill issue" or "it has nothing to do with streamers" etc.. There are big issues with the changes, and most of them come from bungie moving the goalposts or simply rolling back on what they've said previously.. Remember these three: "we're removing match game" or "play how you want" and "player's time should be rewarded".. Match game is now being applied universally to pve. It'll only be worth while using the recommended weapons and subclasses in most pve activities. They're increasing the difficulty without increasing the rewards. Bunch of dicks

    • Of course i wouldn't in anyway suggest that there is a coincidence that the content gets harder across the board and at the same time they introduce a method of paying to skip the campaign as to reach the power cap quicker :) And they wonder why we don't trust Bungle

      • I think it’s a big diversion tactic to take focus off the lack of new content. A whole lot of pluses and minuses and Bungie resources applied to existing content. What a waste. Nothing about new content. They literally say we hope we ignite interest in the content you love by making it more challenging. Misread the room completely as most people try and skip/minimise the grind on old content to get to the power level to do the new content or challenge mode.

Am I missing something?[/quote] How funny if this actually, finally puts Destiny 2 in its grave. It would be the best thing for the future of gaming really. Why? Because Sony didn't buy Bungie to get Destiny. Bungie promised to show them how to make 12 more empty hollow IPs just like it [i][b]by 2025.[/b][/i] That's why the content is such watered down repetitive crap, and why Bungie wants to set our expectations so low (and keep them that way). They already turned their backs on Destiny 2 and its fans. Lol, either way Sony will be pissed when they learn what a critical component Halo Success was in giving Bungie the needed credibility to overhype Destiny 1 in the first place. Without that credibility to cash in on with PRESALE lies about the upcoming product, no new IP will ever build up to the overinflated height of undeserved monetary success Destiny has/had. If not for the sunk cost fallacy and fomo, Destiny would have died long ago. Plus the foolish hope of Destiny living up to its potential, something no one at the [i]current[/i] version of Bungie even cares about. Now, even day 1 Destiny 1 players like me that played since D1 open beta are done with Bungie's Lies. And younger players Bungie constantly brings in, won't get nearly as attached to Destiny. They will play around a bit, have fun. When its not fun anymore? They won't complain like we do, they won't say a word. They will just walk away and forget Destiny ever existed like any other oversold, overhyped game. They have been doing that their entire lives with content people shoved in their face.       • I think it's a response to streamers wanting more and harder content for their channels. The regular players asked for new maps, better loot and less grind. This is the exact opposite. At least they could stop insulting our intelligence with their "we're listening" crap.

          If rewards dont match difficulty and time investment, this will be a huge L. Not even streamers are gonna support the idea of running a 5 year old strike that now takes at least 1/3rd longer to complete for blue drops or even in some cases, a few thousand glimmer. This has "2 tokens and a blue" written all over it.

          • Bungie is making the game for the streamers and youtubers out there. That plays the game for hours. Meanwhile, we normal people that have jobs and family won't be able to touch the hard stuff, and if we do, we won't get rewarded. Bungie at its finest..

                  We got the bungie gaslight. Even when they fixed that article. The rewards are currency the people that can handle that difficulty have stacks of already. Literally just made the game worse for new lights 🤣 You can't make this stuff up.

                • The community looks genuinely pathetic at this point. Causing this much of an uproar over increased difficulty as if pve in this game, outside of a few endgame activities, wasn't a cakewalk. People talking about quitting and canceling their preorders over this lol Imagine suffering through all the blatant anti consumer things Bungie has done over the years, sunsetting weapons, vaulting content, giving no support to core activities, ect. .....And increased pve difficultly is the straw that broke the camel's back. I've never been so embarrassed at the community. You would think people would welcome challenge in this snoozefest of a pve, especially the strike playlist. Increased rewards is somewhat of a valid complaint, but you already have everything, the game literally rains exotics compared to D1. What more do you want?

                  • You're probably missing the fact that they are making the activities more on par with D1 difficulty. D2 has been stupidly easy in the majority of content while getting stupidly difficult at the high end. Well, now they are deleting the stupidly easy stuff(I mean come on... Strikes, Dares, etc are so easy that if someone wants to clear ads to run up the score just one person can foil it by melting the boss). People might actually have to clear ads now. Honestly, that stuff doesn't belong and it makes every strike, etc a sprint from one end of the map to the other. The changes sound good to me. And remember... They said they were "bringing the challenge up to legend campaign difficulty". Legend campaign was fine, even for me running solo on a previous season's build.

                    • Sometimes it feels like a bunch of teams not working together on a unified vision. The abilities team is on floor 2, the difficulty team is on floor 3, and the rewards team is out for cigarettes.

                        • I honestly would not have purchased the DLC if I knew this up front. Glad I didn't buy the expensive DLC. I hate games that just make everything more difficult (increased bullet sponginess).

                          • Was on the fence about getting this dlc, but deep down I knew I'd end up getting it shortly after release. After the recent news, it's a hard pass from me. See you if things get better. Big sad.
