I don't understand why now there is never any trailers, info, teasers, or hype for new seasons (other than the yearly expansion).
I feel like trying to get excited for new seasons is hard since there is nothing to get excited about...
With player counts at a all time low. Bungie/Sony should be trying a new marketing strategy.
Just some feed back

Minimum effort for maximum pay
-
There is nothing to hype, it's just recycled content, has will all seasonal content be for the rest of D2s life cycle They should lower the cost of the seasons to 300 silver
-
16 RespuestasWhat's there to be hyped about though.. a public event with 1 story mission a week they know the gig is up with this model

Editado por Quaddity: 12/6/2022 5:15:03 PMWhen you apparently have a gullible user base that will buy seasons and lots of Eververse gear you don't need to hype anything I guess. I don't know what this season is yet but I know I'm likely not buying it. Last season was enough. Now that they are charging separately for dungeons and extra for events I'm pretty much done. Play whatever the new hoard mode is endlessly. Play the same strikes, gambit, etc endlessly. Thank you for your $10. Now go spend 100s at Eververse where we put all our effort please.

5 RespuestasIt’s going to be the same low-effort product. We all know it, and they know it. It will consist of: 6-8 week story (1 step per week) Seasonal hoard mode The Dawning (cash event) Some seasonal weapons to waste time grinding 2 IBs 1 pay for me dungeon. That’s the most it will ever be. Nothing to get hyped about.
-
Completely understandable why.. it's just another drip feed season with nothing worthwhile to actually explore or invest in
-
Here's a glimpse, teleport within the first few minutes into a wall. No way out.

11 RespuestasAll the people complaining about the new season being the same old thing.. Y'all realize you don't have to play it right? Just don't spend the $10. If you bought the deluxe edition and paid for it in advance, then that's kinda on you.
-
Reminds me of an extremely recent "very poorly worded", now deleted tweet...... Forgive me, but I'm forced to paraphrase: What would have resulted if they would have shown us the season sooner since majority of players have, under assumption, already purchased the season? Damage control or not, that right there is the biggest tell all insight as to how Bungie views its customers: a bunch of hopeless suckers. You don't just say stuff like that accidentally.
-
Because they are ashamed to put out such a lack luster copy and paste product. N one wants to admit they built this.
-
Season is already garbage. Recycled, reused everything. Even a reused seasonal activity. Absolute yikes.
-
Just consume product, then be excited for next product.
-
1 RespuestaIt's your problem if you paid in advance. You kinda deserve it.
-
If its bad i have two recent purchases to play, from Sony's two premier studios. Was saving them for my Christmas break. But those machine animals need controlling.
-
1 RespuestaWhy bother? They're always full of false advertising and no gameplay information. Just some slowed down shots to make the Seasonal activity look enjoyable while an NPC talks about the general overview of the story.

2 RespuestasEditado por Nicky-Powers: 12/6/2022 2:11:20 PMThat's my thing also like morale couldn't be any lower with the player base. So I think they should be hyping the Hell out of this new season to get people excited to come back. So either they can't read the room which is entirely possible because look at Bungie's track record or they have so little faith in their own product that they are hesitant to release anything knowing people will hate it. Either option is not ideal. Also with this much secrecy to me all it does is make expectations that much higher. If you are going to hide all S19 details as if it is the JFK assassination files then I better see content that is totally unexpected and mind blowing to match it. I know for a fact will not be the case. For those worried about spoilers don't watch or look up the trailers... If I am completely wrong about all this and S19 is a complete mind blowing reveal I will come back to this post and spam it with clown emojis. But it's safe to say I won't be revisiting this post.

Editado por nonchalantone: 12/6/2022 3:48:00 AMSeems like the gig is up. They played this hand over and over until it ran out. They seem to have just given up at this point. But then again, why hype it when they know people are gonna buy it anyway? Win-win for them without spending too much money and resources to promote it. I wouldn't be surprised if they started selling trailers for new seasons soon in Eververse.......... They had no problems hyping up Lightfall for $100 did they?
-
It’s starting to feel a lot like a Ponzi scheme at this point. I mean (Bungie the Bernie Madoff )of gaming continues to use old content over and over again. It’s one thing to get a couple of old weapons back but we’re starting to repeat activities too. Gross.
-
6 RespuestasTrailers will be purchasable from the Eververse store for 1800 silver in the near future......😂
-
Everyone should just be done buying seasons at this point. It's just work.
-
4 RespuestasThey probably keep it secret because the community is so toxic now that people will complain about anything. Allowing the toxicity to override seasonal publicity isn't a good choice. For example, people are always negative at the end of the season. Someone online declared it the "worst season ever" (it wasn't) and mob mentality took over. A small percentage of players are loud online, but that could trigger negative publicity. The average player doesn't use the forum or go on Twitter. They just show up and play when they want. They'll show up today and play even without knowing what's new.
-
3 RespuestasThe ONLY reason I'm hyped for this coming season is because the Iron Companion armor from D1 is returning for Iron Banner
-
No amount of hype is going to fix the burn out that everyone is currently feeling. Bungie knows this so why would they bother hyping up a season that everyone is going to complain about?
-
1 RespuestaDidn’t even realise there was a new season… There’s probably nothing to hype…. Here are some reissued guns Do this activity 100s of times… It’s kind of a hard sell at this point
