This is mostly aimed at 140s but 120s are also included here. These weapons have always been top tier for PvP and quite frankly I’m tired of seeing it. No matter what meta we find ourselves in these days these two archetypes always seem to win. Sure they won’t win every fight but when they dominate the majority of gunfights it becomes a glaring issue.
High damage delivered by peak shooting or by precise aerial combat without consequences. Able to inflict the most flinch. High Aim Assist. All these things contribute to an easier success than other primary weapons.
What needs to happen is a decrease in Aim Assist, Range and a reduction in Handling and accuracy when using them in the air.
If all handcannons retain their ability to inflict high flinch then there should be repercussions to using such weapons. They should not be easy to use. That’s the logic behind these changes.

Hand cannons require the most skill
-
They’re never getting nerfed No need to ask bungie
-
4 Respuestasyou think HCs need a nerf after they’ve received plenty, while main ingredient and other fusions completely makes primaries obsolete. Which is why fusions are stupid good, more times than not they’re just challenging primaries so you’re not expecting to get vooped from that far but it’s child’s play for these fusions to hit 25 m away no problem
-
Moderately reduce aim assist/hitbox/cone size on all hand cannons then they are perfect.

10 RespuestasEditado por Twin Inferno: 1/30/2022 2:42:14 PMSpecials are the problem right now. So why insist that Bungie prioritizes nerfing hcs? Lorentz (I’ve been using arbalest and that’s actually a problem too) Chaperone Fusions Some would Even say DMT on pc needs a nerf. DMT is after all #2 most used primary and generally has the most capabilities, no matter how many other people say otherwise. With every gun there’s an advantage, and a disadvantage. You just need to recognize the player who’s using it. Put it this way. A player is rocking Pali, completely destroys you. Do you think he only won bc he was using Pali? Just ask the question. Also everyone knows automatic weapons are easier to use. Vex is very strong, pulses like messenger, and no Time. Shayuras. Dmt, suros regime, V-wing. I’ve just listed the top weapons. As for most of the legendaries, it’s laughable thinking others can’t compete. It’s all dependent on your performance. Crimson & last word kinda needs nerfs… I realized that a majority of players here who are complain are pretty bad at pvp. Kinda funny they can lecture everyone on what’s broken and what’s not despite having very few hours in pvp on top of their labeled performance.

2 RespuestasAfter years crying myself, I learned that no matter the nerf or the buff, good players will be good, and bad players will be bad.
-
Why nerf some of the slowest ttks in the game? I rarely have a problem beating people with handcannons. Plus, even if they do nerf them, something else will take its place that you'll inevitably hate.
-
8 RespuestasJust remember guys. No matter what gets nerfed all those players dominating you now will still continue to do that under a new meta 😁 Every single “Sweat” has pvp god rolls ready to go cause players like you guys constantly cry for nerfs. Good luck complaining about the next thing that kills you instead of improving 👍

3 RespuestasI see posts like this and I'm trying to understand your position Please don't take this as a personal attack. I am genuinely curious as to why you're asking for this 1) Do you use hand cannons in crucible, and if not what do you use? 2) If you do use hand cannons why do you want them nerfed? Are you just getting bored running around smoking fools? If hand cannons are the best ttk and the easiest to use I would think they would be your favorite. If everything you say is true you'd have to be crazy to not want to use one, unless of course you're tired of winning all the time 3) If you don't use a hand cannon, why not? You've made a pretty good argument for using a hand cannon, so why wouldn't you use one? 4) Is your problem, and be honest with yourself, that you're sick of being killed by hand cannons? I'll tell you something, I use an auto rifle when I play crucible. Why? Because I'm no good with a hand cannon. I believe everything you listed about hand cannons is true, but yet, when I do play crucible I still use an auto rifle. The reason why is the one thing you left out/didn't mention. It takes skill to use a hand cannon. SKILL! Skill that I do not possess. The thing you didn't mention is that if you miss your shot you die. Hand cannons are high risk/high reward. With an auto rifle all I have to do is hold the trigger down and aim. I don't have to pace my shots, I don't have to aim and time my shots and land each one. I'm not dead if a few shots miss. That's the difference. Yes hand cannons may have the best ttk... BUT... only in the hands of a skilled player. I get smoked all the time by hand cannons, and it sucks, but every time I do I think, wow, that guy's good, because if the gun was op then all I'd have to do is use a hand cannon and I'd be OP. I dunno, just my thoughts.

6 Respuestas180’s are the only balanced archetype lol
-
2 Respuestas> Look, Main Ingredient is top of the kills chart for Trials, its clearly OP > So what if Hand Cannons have over double the kills of any other primary collective in Trials? That doesnt mean they are OP I mean, I'm not calling for changes, I'm just pointing out some of the doublethink I routinely see on here.

5 RespuestasThey won't handcannon mains won't allow fair competition and the moment they have a weakness on the gun is the day they realize how bad they are. Bungie perpetuates this though handcannons aren't the only problem guns and I'll leave it at that.
-
1 RespuestaThe issue isn't the hand cannons themselves but rather the maps. Every single map in rotation right now allows a shotgun-HC user to get within their optimal range quite easily.
-
what weapon type would you like to see on top ?
-
4 RespuestasThe problem is controllers aa. Handcannons high aa stat exaggerates the issue.
-
Shhh little light. Haven’t your kind ruined this are enough already? Maybe we try to buff other weapons to match. Nothing in this game needs to be nerfed.
-
27 RespuestasNerfing handcannons isn’t going to make you magically better at the game btw. Smgs and sidearms beat them up close and pulses beat them in laning.
-
4 RespuestasEditado por Brothers-Four: 1/30/2022 2:19:26 PMI don’t remember a year where HCs WEREN’T meta even waaay back in D1…. To me, I think it’s the target acquisition. It should drop to like zero after it gets passed 15m and and range would take a harder drop after 25m. Come on now, who is EVER that accurate with a hand gun passed their front door? No one. Unless you actually train on it. Meanwhile even untrained people can shoot pretty actually with rifles at distances over 30m so pulses and (maybe) autos get a boost to target acquisition.
-
They don't need a nerf. All you people need to find out how to play the game.
-
I agree with the aa/hitbox reduction but thats it.
-
If you go into a 1v1 using a 140 and miss one crit, unless the other player is absolutely terrible…. you’re done. Good players will continue to be good players, no matter what they use and if they nerf hand cannons next week, you’ll be here complaining about smg’s or high impact pulses the next.

8 RespuestasPpl who call for nerfs to handcannons probably can’t use one.
-
4 RespuestasYou just triggered the handcannon mains, have fun

3 RespuestasI don't think Handcanons are in need of a nerf. It sucks that people who are willing to learn Handcanons have to take a backseat to the guys that rather cross their arms and pout because Bungie likes to appease the wrong people.
