Why not cabal there cool maybe elinski but there not that cool or maybe even scorn there kinda one hit wonders like one dlc and then they just trash
-
They are the minions of the Darkness and that’s the focal point of the story. The conflict between Light and Dark.
-
The most ancient, well traveled of all the enemy races. To out it simply
-
Compared to all other enemies, they are really the only threat. Cabal literally had their planet destroyed, and the fallen well... not the most intimidating in my opinion. There are only so many Kell of Kells before they come up with something actually different and interesting. Vex are a threat, probably more dangerous than the Hive but I think they are being "saved up".

Editado por Ares: 12/21/2021 10:48:09 PMErrrr... In the last year: Beyond Light - Eliksni / Fallen Season of the hunt - Hive Season of the chosen - Cabal Season of the splicer - Vex Season of the lost - Hive and Scorn Harbinger mission - Taken Presage mission - Scorn For a story where the main "bad guys" are Hive Gods, the distribution seems pretty even to me?

1 RespuestaBecause guardians are monsters and it helps to have our main enemy be worse monsters. Would it make sense for us to be fighting the fallen as main adversaries when they are essentially misbegotten children chasing their messiah. If the game was just the guardians versus the fallen, the guardians would be the bad guys. They would be viewed as greedy stingy scrooges unwilling to share the light of the traveller. The hive balances out the nebulous morality of the guardians, because the guardians by default are monstrous killing machines.

We're getting so much focus on the Hive (and Taken/Scorn by extension) now because they are the main enemy now, especially when they're considered one of the Darkness's champion races. The Cabal and Eliksni have been thoroughly decimated and brought to their knees both due to Humanity and the Hive, and now have no real choice but to be our allies now. The Vex are vibing since they're are a neutral force and hate everyone equally. We've already had enough of the Cabal anyways. They were prominent all throughout Year 1 (Red War, parts of Curse of Osiris, and parts of Warmind), and were the focus of Opulence (indirectly), Dawn, Worthy, & Chosen. That's nearly half of our total seasons. The Fallen/Eliksni were mostly dealt with in D1 so they're the odd one out, but had a few parts in Black Armory, Beyond Light, and Splicer.

They released like… Four cabal expansions in an row? and all of the original D2 was about them. Fallen have gotten a lot, Hive have gotten the most yearly expansion, and the Vex got like… The D1 story line. But It’s because the community time after time responses better with Hive DLC then too anything else. Wanting too learn, and play against them. Cabal we are tired of, cause other then that big cabal galaxy light years away, they aren’t super interesting. Fallen are decent, and have gone through a lot of transitions, and changes in the story. Vex are just… Robot monsters that control time, I don’t know why they don’t use that more? Outside of VOG, they don’t use the time stuff. Which sucks.
-
When you really think about it, the Hive technically ARE the MAIN enemies of Destiny. They’re the race with the biggest connection to the Darkness. They have a direct connection to it. Therefore they take the most storytime
-
3 RespuestasBecause we awoken the hives! On the moon back in d1.
-
Editado por eternal_napalm: 11/4/2021 10:30:54 AMI think it is used the most because the Hive are actually have the deepest history in the lore and that they are the hosts for the Darkness itself. I like all of them but I find the Fallen most fascinating. A species from the other side of the universe trying to regain the favor of the Traveller...a species seeking redemption for its sins.

Editado por Centaur-1: 11/3/2021 1:26:59 AMHive have kinda always been the main enemy. Cabal are cool too but they don’t really pose an immediate threat until they do. Hive want to destroy us because the Traveler represents everything they believe shouldn’t exist.
-
Cabal are least liked. People fell in love with Oryx and in D1, the mission sword of crota was the most played story mission for a long time. The Hive. Swords. Bows by extension. All of these are strong because the community played the story that much.
-
3 RespuestasOne of the original 2 races, ease of incremental programming, and the least amount of drain in the servers. The Taken are absolute processor cycle hogs.
-
Because they’re the most relevant in the Light & Dark story
-
Because vex are the ultimate fate of humanity, fallen aren't servants of darkness, and Cabal have essentially been completely defeated.
-
7 RespuestasI think the Eliksni are the best race in the game Cabal are boring bullet sponge space hamsters , they are the worst and least interesting race in the game
-
2 RespuestasI’d love to see a major vex expansion after WQ
-
1 RespuestaEditado por Knightlight: 11/3/2021 5:02:03 AMMoney Edit: most of the other races stories concluded. Fallen now are House Light. Cabal are with citatl (calus is out there somewhere). Vex stories aren't received to well tbh (CoO, Undying were mediocre). Scorn are with xivu arath and the pyramids and so are the taken. Loyal Hive are with xivu arath and Light hive are with savathun. It would be cool to see a hive civil war. Xivu Arath leading her forces are killing Light hive would be cool and Light hive causing massive casualties would be interesting.
-
They go in cycles, some cycles are the cabal cycle, some are the vex cycle etc this is the hive cycle.
-
1. I’ve had enough with the cabal, the change to the fallen was super refreshing. And if another Cabal focused season were to be released I would just hunt the species to extinction. 2. The Hive have been the Main enemy since Forsaken, with some breakes in between. Since this season is leading up to WQ. They have to set up the Hive for it.
-
Hive have felt like the main enemy to the overall (greater) story since The Taken King DLC and I think were going to continue seeing them heavily featured in the story until Light Fall comes out.
-
1 RespuestaThe Hive have the only lore that Predates Humanity. Basically the Start of Destiny.
-
Wait, what? LMAO, MOST OF D2 HAS BEEN CABAL The Red War? Leviathan? EoW? SoS? Armsdealer? Proving Grounds? BattleGrounds? Calus? Caiatl? D2 Hive: Shadowkeep CoS XoL Nokris
-
21 RespuestasThe hive are the main entities that worship and kinda serve the darkness. The cabal are giant roman inspired space rhino's that need to kindly take a mud bath away from us. The eliksni are very few in number as they belive humanity isn't a enemy whereas the fallen do... Fallen bad. Eliksni good. The taken are... Well at the moment leaderless. The vex are a collective of life that are basically a rip off borg... Assimilate everything into itself and it becomes it.
-
We’ve had Cabal for most of D2?
-
Editado por Jinx: 11/3/2021 5:21:07 AMSame reason they focus on the vex, and also why most ww2 movies focus on the conflict with Germany's (at that time) nationalist government. Nobody feels bad about it when they get blown up.
