I find myself selecting easy mode more often than not. It cuts out parts of the game that I just find to be tedious work, such as crafting, eating, and other stuff that doesn’t add much to the story or gameplay.

I used to play games on hard but preferable I played on veteran if that option was available, between normal and hard. Nowadays I am older so I tend to start on normal and will up the difficulty if neccesary and aplicable. Maybe I will do easy when I get to 60 :-p.
-
Depends on the game, but usually normal. I don’t really feel the need to play on more difficult modes unless I wish to challenge my skills after I learned to play. Or if I want to make a climatic boss fight harder I may turn the difficulty up.
-
1 RespuestaNormal. I played parts of Outriders on Easy because that game’s healing mechanics really got tedious at points and required a level of aggression and running around like a headless chicken that got tiresome at times.
-
Normal, or the par equivalent I feel is how the developers intend their game to be experienced. Otherwise, it ends up giving an unsatisfied feeling when completed is what I’d imagine an easy play through to be like.
-
Normal, except if i hear the game is too easy/limited on 'normal', then 'Hard' it is.

Editado por Cultmeister: 11/2/2021 8:21:34 PMDepends what the difficulty actually does. If all it does is change damage and health then I usually set it to easy; having to shove more bullets into enemies doesn’t actually make me feel challenged. But if it changes the difficulty of puzzles or timed stuff then I like to set it fairly hard. The Sinking City is a great example of a game that does difficulty right in my mind. It’s an action detective game and it lets you set the difficulty of the detective bits and the enemies separately, so I can basically ignore the already bland combat without compromising the one thing I’m playing for which is trying to figure out complex problems. Being able to change stuff like enemy markers and aim assist in the options menus is a really great addition to games these days as well I find, and I’m glad they’re not tied to the ‘difficulty’ setting.

Normal, Nightmare, Hell.

I like to feel what the devs intended for the game to feel like. If I find it too easy I usually disable UI elements like "Enemy markers" "Enemy attention markers" "healthbars" or "Damage numbers" Especially Shadow of War/Mordor and FarCry are unplayable for me with all the visual aid. And if I find replay value I crank it up. Can't remember the last time I played a game on easy, used to play all games on easy as a kid.
-
i usually go through whatever kinda slims it down to learn it. Usually normal mode, but easy mode if it’s something i can come back to and redo
-
If I am mainly intrigued with the storyline, I will have it on easy setting, if it is a fight based game normal or hard settings

Easy I'm a recreational gamer, as well as a storyline gamer. I prefer it when it when I can switch off my brain, and play a game on auto-pilot. I deal with too much stress and bullshit in my normal everyday life, so playing a difficult game is the last thing I want to do, when I'm having a difficult day, and I want to relax and de-stress ( and at this point in stage of my life, every single day is a difficult day ).

Depends. FPS and flight based games I like it on hard. Everything else on normal
-
Normal so I can get the he full effect of the game, and the run the hardest difficulty later once I have the hang of things.
-
1 RespuestaI nevercplay easy, on anything. As for whether I play normal or hard, it depends on the game, but most of the time I go normal. If I feel confident in my abilities afterwards, I go hard during the replay.
-
1 RespuestaPlaying on hard is usually a good way to avoid rushing through a game too quick.
-
Normal or hard. Depends on the game
-
I will play a new game on the hardest difficulty I can. But some older games I’ll play on easier difficulties because they’re already hard enough with how janky they are. With some exceptions like older CoDs or Halo. But most of the time I simply don’t have the patience to play older games on hard difficulties until I’ve mastered it. Which can be hard to do for older games.
-
I'm too jaded to play stuff on normal (that and I'm a masochist) so nowadays I'll play on the hardest difficulty from the jump, but only for games I care about. If it's something I'm casually bs'ing my way through, normal or even easy sometimes.
-
I like to go with easy just to enjoy the game
-
Usually hard to enjoy the actual experience of the game and get a layout for what happens in it and then go hard so I can hate myself for a little bit.
-
Editado por CommonBlueberry: 11/1/2021 10:12:07 PMUsually hard because i like the challenge. I know normal is the way you're supposed to play games, but too many developers are little -blam!- and don't make their games hard enough to feel satisfying.
-
More often then not I'll do normal and switch difficulties in the middle of the game if it's getting harder (if the game allows you to, main example being doom) Sometimes if I really like the game, I'll come back to it and play it on the hardest difficulty
-
It depends. If it's a genre that I'm familiar with such as fps's then I'll start with normal and maybe try out hard after beating it. However, if the game is a story-driven experience such as Mass Effect or The Witcher 3 I will most likely play on easy. In cases like that I'm more interested in the story than the difficulty.

Always normal, I've got nothing to prove.
