            • It's nothing to do with priorities. There are different teams that work on different things. It's far easier for them to "fix" progress being earned too quickly versus carefully tuning a piece of equipment or a class. Generally speaking when they come down on something good in pvp quickly people rip them a new one anyway because it usually ends up being a heavy handed nerf. I'm assuming the reason they took care of the quick farm is because it involves old content that not every player can access. Meaning they'd feel forced to buy the deluxe addition. (Or at least that's how I feel about expunge showing up every now and then as a farm method.) Bungie doesn't really need to extend playtime because people already play this game for basically no reason for hours on end anyway. It's not like the rewards we get are anything super FOMO. Those usually end up being tied to the eververse if cosmetic.

              Their priorities are to make you play longer and selling more dlcs/season pass, I don't really think that's weird, what's weird to me is that white knights just won't admit that

            • This is a "numbers" game. Player retention (aka make players keep playing the same content for as long as possible) is the TOP priority Bungie has on their list. Everything in Destiny is thought, designed, created, and tuned to achieve that goal, period! Whoever thinks that Bungie does things out of consideration for the players, is completely deluded.

              • They are lazy. Take for example Burning Maul the super has been trash since it came out and nobody cares to use it especially in pvp. After about 6 months they made changes it became somewhat tolerable then nerfed it again within a month. Now it’s been garbage ever since without a fix in sight. Behemoth Titan will suffer the same fate. A stasis super new to the game reduced to uselessness and they won’t fix it anytime soon.

                • The number of people that are in denial concerning this post is astonishing. Events are made to reward the people who stay on the game during the period and play it. It's not fair for people who don't cheese it. It's like having a raid "flawless" by cheesing it, it's objectively not fair to whose who did it the way it was intended. Oh, and you could turn around your words to have the exact opposite : "Oh, player are having fun with a piece of equipment or an ability in the crucible ? Wait a month to fix it" "Oh, there's a way to break the event system, nerf it yesterday" Don't force opinions, the base question could be relevant if not pushed toward a direction like you did.

                    • The dull answer is that it is a lot easier to fix one thing than something as complex as a sandbox. The more interesting - to some of the nerds in the crowd anyway - aspect is that there is a larger game design question underlying the issue. For one, it is clear that Bungie are going hard on gamification (see Eyes of Tomorrow incremental odds accretion that was very well received by the community vs the Vex drop chance that did away with said mechanic), which basically means that anything that speeds things up and lessens dwell time (time spent on the platform) is fixed immediately. Suspect it is also tied to internal and external reporting (common in the industry). But the PvP sandbox can indeed be solved in a different way. Basically, one could theoretically nerf one thing at a time, thereby allowing for a controlled experiment of sorts. If one variable is tested, you get better feedback data and a quicker overall iteration process. When you make any number of changes at the same time, you have no idea of causation vs correlation or second order effects. Nerfing Shatterdive, for example, could be done by nerfing the ability itself, limiting Hunter movement, lowering overall Stasis crystal damage and so forth. Putting all the changes in at once ignores the core issue and often leads to the 'nerfing into the ground' balance issues the other way. And yes, I am certain that Bungie does this within their own play testing, but there is also a mahooosive difference of scale and emerging patterns at play here.

                    • lol people were just cheesing an event to blow through it get it out of the way. Nobody was like “oh awesome I have a reason to replay the same 30 seconds of an activity. That’s so much fun.” I’m not saying I agree with the update, but it’s not like Bungie removed any of the activities. Do you wanna cheese the boss of a wrathborn hunt, you still can.

                        You're telling me. Warlocks got their Igniting touch perk nerfed that made the fire proc melee damage exotics, a relatively benign ability synergy that was fun in PvE. But.... Titan's get to run around with those busted -blam!- Dunemarchers zapping mofos from half the map over off a dead body for months on end and that's not getting nerfed until the December update. Warlocks can't have anything fun anymore. Smh Weird Priorities indeed.

                          Bugs that take a month to fix are usually small annoyances and little more. Things that benefit the player usually have the capability to ruin the materials economy or bypass activities/mechanics entirely. You tell me which one should be a higher priority to fix. If something is breaking Crucible (Telesto), it gets disabled as soon as they find out about it and re-enabled when it's fixed, which never takes a month.

                              I remember EDZ obelisk back from season of dawn, it was bugged and you couldn't interact for like 1-2 month, if it takes that long to be more easy to disable telesto and maybe remove it from the game? Idk what to say after 2 and half years of my destiny experience.
