For starters, most players aren't high enough light to do it. This is due to a variety of reasons (like bad RNG), but the worse part is that it's impossible to grind high enough to get there in a week if you're not already there or very nearly there now.
"But you have all season"
Except the passage of time exists and we have less than half a season remaining to complete it.
Don't get me wrong, I understand encouraging players to try new activities. However, something like 80-85% of your player base literally can't launch the activity because they're so far down the ladder.
Maybe give endgame players a separate list of challenges to complete or something, but these challenges took the place of weekly bounties and now you're gating it exclusively to people who play for hours every day.
Bungo, weekly bounties were universally accessible by every player, new light through no lifer. These new weekly challenges are not, and players who want to do them can't magically improve by 20+ light levels to do it, likely even in the remainder of the season because RNG exists and nobody is that lucky in this game.
I know a trials one is coming soon too, and that'll be another "only for the top 10%" challenge.
If we have to complete all of them to get the bright dust reward at the end of the season, that's going to be a huge slap to the face to players, especially the ones actually trying to level up and can't because RNG keeps feeding them the same useless leg armor over and over again.
One more thing, I'm season rank 112 and even if my light were, say, 1310, I still wouldn't be high enough light to do a Grandmaster. You have to basically no life the game to be at 1325 at this point.

I just wish the trash mobs weren't as tanky making them more lethal or behave less predictably would've been nice.

I get where you're coming from, and while there's a fairly high chance a lot of people will be unable to mark this challenge off before the season ends... ...Unless you're a completionist, you're not losing out on anything important by not completing all 75 seasonal challenges. Outside of War Table reputation, the only thing you get out of them is xp and bright dust, and if you did most of the challenges up to this point, you've already maxed your season rank. So, yeah it sucks but it's ultimately not that big of a deal.

6 RespuestasI know right? How dare they make a weekly challenge challenging? Don't they know the forum kids want everything handed to them

Editado por hopeyoulikeflava: 3/17/2021 8:42:21 PMI have to side with Bungie on this It's only logical to direct hundreds of thousands of people into the same exact shit over and over, and if they can keep doing it, why wouldn't they? It would be stupid not to. I bet on my life if everyone stopped playing for a few days they'd push out D3 Then spoodfeed you the SAME EXACT SHIT. AND YOU'D EAT IT, PRAISING THEM. We all would, because we're stupid. And they know it. Edit: s

That's the easy part try 30 kills with a grenade launcher when it only allows you 1 grenade

27 RespuestasFrom someone who does a lot of GMs I have to agree with this. 1. You have to hope your rng is good enough to get to 1310 2. You have to get over season rank 100 3. You need good weapons 4. Even if you manage to have all of the above you have to find a group and if someone has no experience it can be very tough to find help. They really should have made it be complete a raid or master nightfall. Both of which would be more accessible for a weekly challenge.
-
7 RespuestasYou don't have to do all 77 to get the reward. Conveniently there are 2 triumphs that "only for the top 10%" as you would say would be able to go for. Leaving 75 for you, part of the lower 90% (forgive my math), to do for the required 75/75 for that beeg bright dust reward.
-
If we complete all challenges, we get bonus bright dust. Bright dust has a monetary value. The more we have, the less chance we opt to buy silver. Theres a way higher percentage of casual players than hardcore in any online game, and the majority of players wont ever complete a gm. Which means most of the players will not recieve the bonus bright dust. Think of how much bright dust they save on giving out when thinking exponentialy If we can see the numbers for how many complete gms, then bungie can surely see this too. Now you realise this is 100% intentional. Bungie never had ANY intention of everybody earning extra bright dust.
-
Master nf would make much more sense imo for the challenge. Its do-able by pretty much everybody but still takes a co-ordinated team depending on the nf. It doesn’t exclude players because the elitist nobs think it should. Question should be why is it not complete a raid? Why GM nf? Hmmmm which small group of players run those and of course its the streamers. Same element as love trials, and again - Bungie have been trying to push players into gm nf and trials since XX title. I will do GM nf because I want the challenge and am a completionist, but dont put it in a weekly challenge list
-
No one's making anyone do anything.

What this dude meant to say was that he’s a really bad player and he’s about to go on fiver to pay someone to do a grandmaster for him lol. I can’t stand posts like this. These kids are so entitled. If you aren’t good enough to get something you don’t deserve it dude. Simple.
-
7 RespuestasYou don't have to be a no life to hit 1325. I basically only play now for weekly challenges and maybe one or two other things and I generally have only run one character since two hit max. And there are still weeks left in the season. Honestly, it's not as hard as you make it out to be.

12 RespuestasEditado por Necrogen: 3/17/2021 11:18:42 AMYou know there's always going to be someone who posts something like this. You can't bake your cake and eat it too. This season has been literally one of the easiest to level up your season pass and get pinnacles. You guys use buzzwords, hyperbole and embellish the experience just so you can try to rally people to your side. You cannot make the Pinnacle experience more casual. You cannot make the more casual experiences more hardcore. Stay in your lane. If you can't manage to get it done, that's on you. Those who wish to commit will push themselves to get the pinnacles and get themselves to the appropriate light level and complete grandmasters with a dedicated fire team. instead of complaining, maybe you should provide more information on how one can commit and achieve the goal of beating grandmasters. Not to mention, you people definitely miss the mark when it comes to certain announcements. Did you not read before that they are no longer raising the level cap by 50? It's only going to be 10 per season? you're going to be near Pinnacle level each season now so just be patient. If you can't get it now you definitely will be able to get it next time.
-
The trials one will be “get to the lighthouse by cheating but pretend it wasn’t cheating” 😂👍😂 love some of you upstanding guardians.
-
2 RespuestasWait, I'm not the only person getting legs in ny prime engrams each week? I'm stuck on 1301 with about five sets of 1302 leg armor now.
-
2 RespuestasStrongly disagree with gm nf being a part of this. How much bright dust are we talking anyway? Hardly seems fitting to put us up against that overdemanding set of modifiers for bright dust.
-
1 Respuestayou will not need to do all the challenges to get the bright dust. currently we have 56 available to do with 4 weeks worth of new challenges to do. if there 5 challenges each week until week 10 that makes 76 out of 75. id doubt that there will only be 5 challenges each week. you will be able to skip some as bungie stated back when they announced this.
-
This has to be a troll. There’s no way you’re complaining about this of all things.
-
2 RespuestasAbsolutely unnecessary thread here because there are 22 challenges left after this week that means you can skip GM and 7 trials rounds and still get the 75 challenges done. /close plz
-
9 RespuestasWhen you complete a strike, whatever. When you complete a raid, yippi. When you complete your first GM or get conqueror, ohhh yeah! Best feeling in all gaming!
-
3 RespuestasAs someone who has previously acquired the conqueror title I agree with you. Now that they’ve put contest modifier onto GMs so being above 1325 doesn’t matter what’s the point of having an infinitely levelling artefact? It’s been clearly demonstrated we can’t over level content beyond a point anyway. Why not just have seasonal artifact mods and keep the light level to whatever the highest is that season (so 1310 this season) and then apply contest modifier to GMs? Or just allow anyone into GM but instantly apply -25 to their level. What’s the difference? Levelling the artefact beyond what’s needed to unlock the mods is completely artificial.

Editado por Oryx's Slimy Worm: 3/17/2021 5:31:00 PMJesus not everything can be handed to you on a silver plater. GM nightfalls are end-game content, meaning its for the best of the best. 1325 isnt even that high up there - if you wait a month, thats 3 total resets that you have oppertunities to grind light level, as well as artifact level. Yeah it sucks that some cannot complete the pahe right away, but we have all season long to do it.

7 RespuestasEditado por Swiftlock: 3/17/2021 4:12:16 PM
If we have to complete all of them to get the bright dust reward at the end of the season
You don't. This is a non-issue. You have two months to get it done. You can do one Grandmaster. Knock out some pinnacles and put on your big boy pants. Some challenges should push you out of your comfort zone. There are PvP mains who hate grandmasters. It goes both ways.
