How is being able to get rid of a crap ton of gear that is just sitting in my vault and not being used a "fail"??
Most of my vault IS trash that I'm holding onto for NO other reason than it "might" become relevant when Bungie arbitrarily changes the sandbox with a patch. Its just trash that I'm afraid to get rid of...and now I can finally start throwing most of it out.
I really hope someone take over this company and clean up the mess that is everywhere
They ARE cleaning up the mess. The problem is that you dont' realize that the thing you're fighting to hold onto IS the mess that needs to be cleaned up.
No decent looter-shooter lets you hold onto crap forever....and then drag it through the game forever.

The same reason why favorite assault rifle from The Division 2, Year 1 was level capped at Level 30...and I had to go out and get another one at the Year 2 level cap of 40. LOOT GAMES are designed to keep you constantly moving forward and engaging with the new content and using the new loot. Bungie made the mistake of indulging a SHOOTER gamer mindset with infusion. But these games cant' withstand this notion that "Its mine, and its mine forever." that campaign shooters and PVP games can indulge before they sell you the new game in a year.
-
you miss my point.... it's the same weapon at different levels my "old" one is 1060, the "new" one is 1360.
-
I got your point. My answer is unchanged. Loot games aren’t about letting you keep old stuff. Bungie failed to educate this playerbase around this...and now has to reap the problems that come from feeding a mindset that is not compatible with them for the last five years.
-
Destiny is a massive grind to get what you want. You can spend a whole year to get the weapon with the roll you want, particularly that RNG is so contrived. Bungie created this monster and now want to walk away from it. Not good enough.
-
Every loot game is a grind. Which is why min-maxing is only for the truly hardcore.
-
If they had done this with D3 you may have a point... this is still D2.
-
Notice how there was no response to this. Because they don't have one.

Editado por MONKEYGOTRABIES: 10/27/2020 8:11:04 PMSo, I sell furniture, but all of my craftsmen say, "making furniture is hard," and I can hardly make any furniture to sell. Now, I'm either too stupid to hire better craftsmen, too stingy to hire more craftsmen, or I'm too broke to do so from running my business so poorly. So I go to your house and steal the furniture I sold you last year so you have things you need to buy and I have them to sell. Make sense? Sound on the up-and-up? Because this is what he's defending, along with the practice of stealing your shit so I don't have to bother with making some interesting, new, or better furniture that you might find appealing enough to replace your old furniture with at your own discretion. Except he's spinning it like a politician as if it's his job (which it may well be, given he was invited to Seattle for a sit-down with Bungle brass), to try to obfuscate the reality of it. The long and short of it is...KellyPreen is a gaming genius, don't believe your lying eyes when you see your shit taken away and sold back to you, and the very fact that you had to ask that question proves you're a imbecilic, mouth-breathing troglodyte like everyone else here is (Obviously, from Kelly's point of view).

I feel for your pain.... rabies ain't fun. Back to subject...... Gee KG gets some hate on this forum ... is he really D Trump in disguise.
-
Psst. This is a video game. No one is stealing from you. It's called progress.
-
Progress is not always good.
-
Definitely can agree on that. But when instituting changes within a system, it might help to see how it turns out before dismissing it altogether. 🙂
-
Well thats correct... my beef is that it's the very same gun.... the one I have is 1060 and I can get buy a new one at 1360. But why do that in the first place. I truly don't know, they may bring out some new amazing weapons but why do as I described above.
-
I think it's a transition period. Getting ready for what's to come. Time will tell.
-
Haha sorry what?! Furniture.....video games....two very different things🙄

I would use the “lease expired” kinda what it is. 🤷🏻♂️
-
How about, "Saw off six inches from the legs so as to render useless"? You can still keep it, but who would to. "Steal," was really just for the sake of brevity.
-
Yeah I figured. Lease just seem more apropos, but your sawing off the legs is pretty good.
-
The, "lease," thing is pretty -blam!-ing apt. Bungle has turned into Rent-a Center with their approach, and are about as shady and predatory.
-
It's all there in writing. All on you.

Because everyone would be fine with Sunsetting in a world where our hard earned things were replaced by a more desirable arsenal... But reissuing is a thing. So climb back up on that treadmill and chase the carrot we stole from your mouth.
-
Exactly. Because everyone would be fine with Sunsetting in a world where our hard earned things were replaced by a more desirable arsenal...
That's power creep. There is some leeway for Bungie to do that, but they can't do it all accross the armory at the same time.
-
Stop peddling your power creep. You don’t have credibility when it comes to declaring power creep since you don’t play end game content lol. Get back on your strike and patrol.
