I'm usually against nerfs, but Autos are statistically a big problem in pvp right now:
In terms of %kills: (guardian.gg)
Autos ≈ 33%
HC's ≈ 18%
Sidearms ≈ 5%
Pulse ≈ 4%
Scouts ≈ 3%
Smgs ≈ 1%
Bows ≈ 1%
The meta is currently completely polarized in favor of Auto Rifles to the point the number of kills they get is 33 times more than the least used primaries, which is ridiculous.

But you're fine with hand cannons being 18 times more than the least used primaries?
-
Handcannons were statistically overused in the last meta (although not to the extent autos are now) and were nerfed accordingly. Autos (600) are due for a nerf too.
-
But don't you think hand cannons should be nerfed too? They're also huge statistical outliers.
-
Not necessarily. The reason SMGs are at 1% is because 600 Autos outperform them at any Range and deal more damage despite having the same RPM. SMGs can counter HC's from close Range, but they're not used for that purpose because Shotguns exist. Besides, nefing the biggest outlier (which is nearly double that of Handcannons) and studying its effect on the meta (when things settle again) makes more sense than nerfing two entire weapon groups.
-
Why do you need to study the effect? If all you do is nerf the top one, then the 2nd most used weapon type will become the 1st.
-
I’d much rather have a weapon with a decent skill gap dominate over a weapon with a low skill gap

Exactly 600s are just to damn good their literally the answer to every situation now in pvp and its stupid.

Doesn't help that Gnawing Hunger is one of the most used autos for that job. Thing is a beast both in PvE and PvP.
