Everyone using a controller in d2 uses aim assistance. You cannot turn it off.
If it bothers you play on pc with mnk.

Bruh ik i cant turn it off but i dont find it useful it doesnt help at all. and like said if you have to play on pc to have normal recoil, no reason to release this game on pc.

Like Tuxy, I have it on PS4P, XB1X, Stadia and Steam (and played it on Blizzard before this) and have used controllers on all; there is virtually no difference between the versions with regards to control of weapons. Now if you are talking M&K; yes it has a significant change but also AA is turned off for M&K play. Actually I've even used M&K playing on phone/tablet with Stadia, GFN and Project XCloud and had no similar issues to what you are describing. Now if you are playing on PC, you need to make sure you don't bump your M&K while you play because even something like a little bump of your mouse can screw up your aim as the default is M&K.
