I've listened to the youtubers, and I understand their plight ... when there was skillbased matchmaking they couldn't simply get on to the Crucible and have a relaxing fun time wiping the floor with their competition. They had to work hard at being on top.
The thing is, now without skill based matchmaking, I have to work hard to be on the bottom. As an example, I just finished my 7th or 8th crucible match today and they were ALL sweaty. I have so much adrenaline pumping through me, I'm afraid to help with dinner-- I might break something. And I didn't play worse than other times... I played nearly at the top of my game every match ... averaged my usual 1.38 efficiency and 10 to 14 kills a game ... and I was still on the bottom. Dead last among six fire-team members. O.o The top players on either team were getting 25 and 30 kills a game.
Back with skilled match-making I'd have sweaty games too... but out of 8 matches, maybe 2 or 3 were hard won, and that to stay near the top. Now, forget about it. So I'm just wondering if Bungie is going to be able to keep things this way. You see, it comes down to numbers .... there are a s-ton more players like me in Destiny than their are top-tier players.
And I'm sure someone will say, "well, get gud noob!" ... but my answer to that is, well, accept the prices of being top-tier! It would be like Mohammed Ali complaining back in the day that he never had any easy fights now that he was champ. -- course, he actually would say they wear all easy ...
But then, he lived for the challenge.

Game 1: Highest ELO Player vs You = Gold Game 2: Highest ELO Player vs You = Gold Game 3: Highest ELO Player vs You = Gold Game 4: Highest ELO Player vs You = Gold Game 5: Highest ELO Player vs You = Silver Game 6: Highest ELO Player vs You = Gold Game 7: Highest ELO Player vs You = Gold Game 8: Highest ELO Player vs You = Silver https://guardian.gg/2/profile/4611686018441153066/Rhyll%20Hossred Where are these imaginary "Top-Tier Players" who're supposedly ruining your games under CBMM? It looks like the players who were destroying you are at an EQUAL OR LOWER ELO Rank compared to yours... It's really hard to take dishonest people seriously 🤦♂️

23 RespuestasThere's no solution. But look at the other sides. CBMM provides more than just an "easier " experience for better players. It provides: 1. Faster queue times; 2. Better connection; 3. Greater variety in loadouts (Meta usage has dropped 5-10% on console depending on the playlsit since SBMM was removed. Players don't feel as obligated to use the meta just to compete, simply because there are some players who are worse than them.); and 4. The ability to play with lower skilled friends. (For example, I'm a slightly above average player. Not bad, but nothing special. My friend is a 0.6. He has a physical disability. Thankfully the new controller options have helped him, but still. But if he played in my lobbies under SBMM, he'd match people closer to my level rather than his. He wouldn't be able to compete while I could slay out. He was literally punished for loading in with a friend.) SBMM doesn't promote any of those things. And believe it or not, average players don't experience much of a difference between SBMM and CBMM. SBMM will match average with average. CBMM will pull from the entire pool of players. Well, almost 70% of players sit within 1 standard deviation the average skill level. 95% within two. So, average player are, for the majority of their matches, matching primarily average players. Don't believe me? Track every player in this post. Almost everyone they match will be bronze and silver ELO. Probably have a K/D from 0.8 to 1.2. That's just how statistics works. Now does having an outlier or a small team skew lobby balancing? Absolutely. But that same problem existed under SBMM.

Alright just because im bored I looked up the kd of your opponents on your last match on the 22nd, you played a 1.0 1.3 .84 .85 1.04 .56 You are playing at a .85, there's nothing there that suggests you are getting screwed out of enjoyment by playing top percent players

Editado por NaCl e Sea Dog: 6/23/2020 11:15:24 AMThe switch to cbmm wasn’t made because of feedback, it was made to force more people into comp. the only way to get it changed back is to quit playing crucible, this is the most reliable feedback we can give. Give it a month or so and the higher tier players will be complaining that matchmaking is too slow and it’s all too sweaty and it will be because the average players have quit. I don’t believe the answer is SBMM either. Bungie needs a complete redesign of mm and find a middle ground that is fun for everyone.

4 RespuestasSo, first, Bungie is probably never going to bring back skill based matchmaking because there just aren’t enough people playing pvp to warrant it - so may as well get used to it... Second, the community of top tier pvp players LOVE to complain. They nerf all of our weapons, force us to play pvp for quests and exotics (because no one will play them unless they have to) and only are happy playing if they can stomp on inexperienced players... It’s a common thing for a top ovp player to say “finally no more sweaty games, I can relax now and just get some kills without sbmm”...meanwhile average players are 100% sweaty now all the time... The pvp player base only care about their own experience and no one else’s...it’s a community event - Bungie should do more in the game mode to make it more fun for all skill levels...

4 RespuestasThe problem isn't that Bungie added more CBMM options. The problem is they didn't leave even ONE 6v6 playlist for new Guardians and players that are striving to get better, but can't when they are constantly dead. Blame Bungie, not the players that are really good.
-
I agree, I even wrote on here about it: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/256347398?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 CBMM sucks for the majority.
-
2 RespuestasThere was a CBMM in the ClassicMIX playlist and it died.. At the end off last season there was only the sweats in that playlist.. The same thing is going to happen to Rumble and Control. But the biggest mistake is to remove SBMM from Iron Banner!!!!

79 RespuestasI'll copy my reply from another similar thread. That's how most average players are feeling now. Somehow it's not ok for them to have fun and chill in sbmm but is ok for high level players to be able to chill in cbmm. Yes. For average players sbmm was a more fun and chill experience.
-
1 RespuestaJust wait until the PvP population drops, then the complaining will start up again when there is no one left to play but high tier players.
-
We need a choice SBMM or CBMM let the players decide.
-
19 RespuestasThe only way to get SBMM back is to have your voice heard. Make post on the forum asking for sbmm back. Like all the post that want it back. And stop playing crucible. And tell your friends and have them spread the word. Don't play crucible, Show Bungie how we feel. Boycott crucible tell your friends If you want your pinnacle rewards go play elimination or comp, let the sweats play each other this season. Ps. If I don't respond to you, that means your not worth my time or effort.

14 Respuestas🤔 Why can't they give us both options? Skill based or connection based. We pick which to enter!
-
I swear it just sounds like bad players are fighting average players now and they hate it. You can't all be fighting the top 2%.
-
Matchmaking actually takes longer now, unless that was another of Bungie's weekly bug implants.
-
2 Respuestasi've been in 10+ matches where most of if not the whole opposing team was a fireteam
-
5 RespuestasJust avoid it. There are plenty of great pvp games highly recommend titanfall 2 for a fun more casual pvp.
-
46 RespuestasAgreed. The devs literally catered to the top 2% of the playerbase with this change, leaving the other 98%, especially the bottom 16%, in a matchmaking hell. It's like telling the pro players in a professional league they're allowed to compete in little leagues and go all out in them.

5 RespuestasEditado por Empyreanzz: 6/24/2020 12:10:12 PMThe 2nd day this was implemented I pull 4 we rans, 3 undefeated and a ghost in the night all within 2 hours. It's a fun time Just remember though the only way to get better is to practice, no better way than to go up against higher skilled opponents
-
Destinytracker can tell you the chances of a particular team winning (I assume by the skill on each side). Last night out of 6 or 7 matches I had one that was relatively balanced, with the winning team having a 51% chance of winning. The others were absolute stomps: in every single one the winning team had an 80% chance or higher of winning. One match with a stack was a 98% chance of winning.
-
1 RespuestaIt just seems if youre not running around trying to keep up with the aggressive top players youre not getting any kills....they are hogging it .......you get left behind with the other team spawning by you and killing you......and then they say “oh youre horrible you only got 9 kills”🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
-
I am an average skill pvp player and I enjoy this version of the crucible much more than the skill based, in that matching you could easily throw games lowering your skill level and match bad players making a much worse experiance as a whole. I would much rather a bad game every now and then over bad games all of the time
But then, he lived for the challenge.
You realize that you used a guy who wanted a challenge as a way to prove your point but you are complaining that there is a challenge, right?
-
It's literally the same; blowout after blowout; full fireteams vs solos; join-in-progress teams getting their assess asses kicked - never on the winning team; I don't understand what all the complaints, or praise is about, nothing has changed for me ... it's still as bad as it ever was.
-
2 RespuestasAre you saying you don’t enjoy challenge? You don’t enjoy adversity? Is your argument not the exact same as the one you place upon the “top tier”? Use the hard games to get better, use them to practice as you should to improve your craft. Maybe then you’ll stop complaining about the competitive portion of the game.

1 RespuestaTwo things, sort of related to SBMM vs CBMM 1. Solo queueing for any team based scenario is going to result in a poorer experience no matter if SBMM or CBMM is in place for lots of reasons. Matching against stacks that can communicate effectively is generally going to allow said team to stomp. Players leaving your team early can result in heavy mismatches. To diminish the effects of this, get a team of your own. It will improve your success rate, help you learn how to improve, and be less frustrating when you have someone to commiserate with. All of which help improve your experience. 2. Rumble. I've come to love Rumble. I only solo queue, and when I played other modes I accepted my defeats when they were earned, left games that were (un-fun) and regularly lamented the skill levels of others on my team. In Rumble, none of that matters. Sooo many more 1v1 instaed of 2v1 or 3v1's that I often find myself in while engaged in team play. Someone leaves the game? Fine by me. One player of the 6 is a God? Stay away from him if possible and kill other dudes. Play at your pace and not at your teams pace. Here SBMM and CBMM are far less relevant. Its also the best place to improve your PvP skills. Learn to love Rumble.
