Good luck with that players. You know its going to be all convoluted and poopyballs. 2,000 heavy weapon kills in Crucible, 500 bounties, 666 ascendant shards, and your first born = 1 Transmog Coin.
20 Transmog Coins = 1 Zippydodad Switcharoo (translates to transmog of 1 piece of gear)
OR! Get this, 1200 silver for a full set! So nice of you Agent Smith!

This aged really well and I'm really sorry it did.

Every diva worries about looking good and none of you even know what way to point a gun. Dont break a nail.

5 RespuestasGlad to see that some people aren't so naive that they can't see through this. As soon as there's a monetary component, the legitimacy of the free route is immediately called into question. (See: Fireteam Medallions...) You're exactly right. They're going to do whatever they can to make the 'in-game effort' as convoluted as possible, in order to make the paid option seem more reasonable. And then of course, people will complain about it and the BDF will defend Bungie because 'they said it would require effort'. After all, Bungie have always been conniving -blam!-s who choose their words carefully in order to be as close to the truth as possible without lying... Can see exactly how this shit show is going to roll out...
-
It'll prolly cost 10k bright dust each transmog
-
8 RespuestasI'm more worried that we're going to have to require the armor before we're able to transmog it.
-
57 RespuestasUnpopular opinion but transmogging armor should be a lengthy grind.
-
2 RespuestasThe community always find ways to complain. The Bungie.net community even cries before something comes out.
-
30 RespuestasWeird. Every other games that you can either buy or grind the grind is long and people don’t cry as much... or as pathetically as this community. You guys really are children 🤦♂️

There is only one way to me where transmog could be argued to be okay with being monitized. If its an event that has expired and gives players an option to unlock said transmog later on, or another year later. I am okay with only this option. Why? Well FFXIV kinda does this with its shop, where yes, they release some exclusive shop cosmetics that are unique (no where near the bulk of the cosmetics in game) but also you could pay a few dollars to buy cosmetic items from old events that always bring new items each time the next even releases, so the only way to get old items that you missed is to purchase them. That is the ONLY way I am okay with that system, do NOT allow the ability to purchase transmog that had to be acquired from in game achievements that are permanent, or require high skill to do/investment. Do NOT jepordize players the ability to show off thier achievements. Period.

I would be careful, I don’t think Bungie’s marketing department will be to happy that you have discovered their plan. That was probably the product of 3000 emails, 500 lunch meeting over drinks, 25 strategy weekends at undisclosed tropical destinations, 5 fact finding trips to unnamed conventions and one really grueling team building retreat in the Cayman Islands. Out of all this came the marketing departments mission statement: “Long live Eververse”!!!

1 RespuestaYeah, I'm surprised this isn't getting heat, can easily take something people wanted and ruin it, again.
-
1 step forward 2 steps back

4 RespuestasIf they add one more goddamn currency to the game, I'm done...😂 Seriously though Bungie, get rid if these currencies. Vanguard Tokens? Really? Just have Vanguard activities...wait wait wait, I'll simplify that a bit. Just have it work like it did in D1...🙄
-
It’s good that there will be two ways to do it, but I agree. As long as it’s not convoluted. Which, knowing Bungie it very well may be. They seem to love convolution. Both in mechanics and economy. There are already way too many currencies, many of which are “item drops” that serve the same purpose as a currency, so they shouldn’t be treated as item drops. Then there’s the bounty system which just constantly tells us what to use and even where and when to use it. I imagine the in-game method will be similar.
-
70 RespuestasBungie has to satisfy both halves of the community. If it were only possible to unlock it through in-game efforts, you'd have the casual side of the player base complaining that its locked behind barriers of time or access. If it were only possible through currency, you'd have the hardcores complaining about it ruining the game and disrespecting their time-investment. This way the player is able to choose which ever path best suits them. If they have limited time....but really want a particular transmog.....they simply buy it. But if they have abundant time, or limited cash....then they grind for it. Everyone gets what they want.
-
Man I can see Bungie setting the cost to be the same amount of materials you put in the gear..... Like swapping it's element. So if it's masterworked it's gonna be very costly
-
5 RespuestasIt's probably just going to be like an upgrade module or something, relax

Editado por Dredgen Storm: 5/11/2020 5:38:39 PMOr heaven forbid they do something right???😂 i mean it doesn’t happen often but jeez pessimism is just a downer It will probably similar to EoW and SoS prestige gear, where you have to do the prestige raid and then a raid challenge in prestige leviathan for one piece and then more for only some of the other pieces... honestly if its completions of raids and/or dungeons for some of the harder items transmogwiseI wont mind one bit cuz thats a grind that is more wholesome then bounties😆
-
I know, I'm not even excited for it because I know there will be massive phuckery behind it.
-
Transmog one item 500 hours gameplay 500 silver We want it to feel like an achievement!
-
If you're trying to articulate You are highly suspicious of bungies' motives and means... then, yeah... I'm right with you.
-
I absolutely love the idea of Transmog!! However BungLe needs to just allow it to happen and not stick a currency or an accomplishment to doing it. If you unlock the image, you should be able to reuse the image without paying for it to be transmogged (time, money, in-game currency). I guarantee this will be like Armor 2.0 where you have to grind yourself to death to make the effort just not worth it.... OR!! "complete 400 Leviathan Prestige encounters per 1 Leviathan Prestige Transmog." BungLe can't allow players to enjoy the game. EVERYTHING MUST BE A GRIND so absurd that it hurts....then 1 day you log on to find it gone like the Emblem nerfs.
-
1 RespuestaThat is exactly how they will -blam!- up a good thing. But many will say it's fine cause it is just cosmetic.
-
3 RespuestasExactly, it's going to piss people off. But rn people are hyped for no reason. Don't think they heard the SILVER part of it all. I'm telling you all bungie is doubling down on this free to play bs.
-
Yup. Going to be super grindy to push you to buy silver. No, thanks Bungle.
