FOMO is like a Gun to the Head.
Congrats Bungie, you’ve successfully held a Gun to my Head and making me buy Silver to finish out my Battle Pass. Hope you’re happy for Psychologically Manipulated me into doing this with your FOMO bullshit. Your new Seasonal System screws Collectors/Completionists and punishes Working Class Casuals who have chaotic lives who can’t play this Game like a Freeloader and/or Streamer. Games are suppose to be a HOBBY, not a FULL TIME JOB!! #AbolishFOMO #AbolishTimeGates.

I’m rank 205 and haven’t played in almost 2weeks , nobody forcing you to pay actual money for these garbage rewards. A friendly suggestion go play something else because this game has done nothing but go downhill. It’s trash [spoiler]im not going to front I’ll be on Tuesday with the new season though😑[/spoiler]

I’m rank 10, only really wanted to get to rank 9 for the 5000 glimmer cos glimmer is hard to come by when play time is low. I’d rather miss out than purchase silver though.

Only Saturday and Sunday. I was able to make it to rank 75 in the pass before I just bought the remainder out of convenience simply because I had company coming into town and I didn’t want to be rude while they were here for the holidays. If I can make it that far on such little play time... I think this is a YOU problem. Not a Bungie problem.

7 RespuestasI wouldn't quite word it as a gun to the head, especially for the pass ranks of all things. Frankly, Bungie actually did quite well with the XP progression in the pass, even if some of the rewards were lackluster (much less the season itself). Even causal players could grind up to 100 by doing bounties in between other events, and the first 5 levels a week made it really easy to rank up. If you averaged 10 levels a week then you'd be done in 10 weeks with a few more to spare. If you bought the pass early on but still couldn't reach 100 by the end of the season then you've got no one to blame but yourself. Hell, I managed a 18 credit semester as a full time college student, taking about 16.3 hours of classes with an average of 4-5 additional hours of homework/projects daily (don't get me started on studying for tests), and still made enough time to grind out 128 levels. And this week is my finals week so I have even less time for last minute grinding (RIP my third Gambit reset).

1 RespuestaI hear where you're coming from. It's not impossible tho! I have a full time, part time, and another side hustle and I was able to make it to season rank 116. What helps me tho is managing my time lol

This is an issue with you. You aren’t doing something right. Most likely not getting all the bounties anywhere and everywhere you can. Doing it solo would grant easy progression. Season pass ranks up primarily via bounty EXP. so first I’d bet you aren’t grabbing bounties like you should. Second you can turn in bounties when you are with a fire team on the surface of a planet for bonus EXP. (orbit doesn’t grant EXP bonus). One time I turned in about 11-12 bounties with a fire team and went up 6 levels. Understand the system before blaming the other person. Instead educate yourself first. Hope this helps for next season.

Destiny community needs to chill on the season pass. They’ve set it up fairly and it’s value and cost are arguably perfect. Downvote me if you actually think I’m wrong. But the FOMO of not having triumphs or accomplishing certain achievements that are locked behind multiple insane 1500 kill related grindwalls is getting old. Raids/Legend/Master related accomplishments are whatever, this D2 is almost specially designed for team play. But D1 wasn’t, hell even early D2 was, everything except basically Raids we’re open to do alone. A lot of us are casuals with no friends playing Destiny and after leaving this game after CoO and coming back with Shawdowkeep, us casuals have definitely been let out of all consideration by Bungie. It’s made the game feel hollow. Sorry for the rant it’s NFL Sunday I’m a lil -blam!-ed up. Carry on Guardians.
