I played all of Destiny 1 and have enjoyed Destiny 2 here and there but quit after infusion became a tedious chore for no reason making the game became a relatively joyless chore. So I quit and went on to other things for over a year with only a couple of exceptions just to play with friends.
So here we are with Bungie away from Activision.... and it looks like the hype-train got the best of the community once again. I am not impressed to say the least. The majority of the content is recycled and feels uninspired and the overall vibe feels more like an early expansion like curse of Osiris what's a generic storyline and then abrupt non ending to The Campaign. I paid $35 for a setup to future content. There's loads that I wasn't able to try before because I wasn't willing to do the tedious grindworx, but as a standalone, this expansion is way underwhelming. I like some of the RPG elements but you can't experiment with builds because you still have to infuse everything with countless materials and Quest just to try new things out. It's a baby step in the right direction at Fest and at worst it's just more of the same which is Bungie still looking for its identity with Destiny. My wheat pennies. I really wish they'd just do a hard reboot what's a destiny 3 already and decide once and for all what the hell they're doing with this thing. The content is all there and they just keep cluttering up with nonsense chore based systems that make progression yawn inducing.

Most of us have stayed and we aren’t impressed either.

3 RespuestasIt's funny that a guy that openly admits to having given up on Destiny more than a year ago thinks his opinion is in anyway insightful or helpful to Bungie or the average Destiny player.

59 RespuestasBungie brings back the moon, some gun reskins and old D1 enemies Community: this whole dlc is just recycled content! Bungie adds new raid, new Vex offensive, and a new dungeon Community: this whole dlc is just recycled content!

3 RespuestasIf you honestly enjoyed Destiny I don’t think you would’ve taken a year break. It sounds like you jump in and out when you hear things are getting better but end up dissatisfied anyway. In my personal opinion Destiny feels better than it ever has. Tons of stuff to do. If you don’t enjoy Destiny now...you’re probably not a fan...🤷🏻♂️

4 RespuestasNobody is impressed. It's the same lazy low effort content...go here grind that do these missions again...oh look do 10 load sectors and oh wow...horde mode...this time with a relic to shoot floating diamonds!!!! Yay!!! Lazy. Play for free. Never preorder. Let datto enjoy his game.

6 RespuestasEditado por BaconCola: 10/12/2019 6:50:06 PMObjectively Bungie did an amazing job, having said that i have a massive case of gamer fatigue since that gruesome solstice event. I turn on my console highly motivated and end up turning it off after 1 hour again. In the end of the day it is aiming and shooting all over again. 5 Nightfall Strikes for a shitty engram are just boring when strikes give you nothing strike related. We are replaying content since D1 over and over again and Bungie got the idea that we are okay with it. I am not okay with it especially since Bungie is telling me which weapons to use in bounties which I find even worse than playing the content 5 times in a row

1 RespuestaThis isn't the Bungie that created Halo nor D1 before it released. When things like Eververse are shoved in the player base face and this company doesn't even bother to update the game, It only goes to show where their priorities are nowadays because it's not about making quality content anymore, that's for sure.

2 Respuestas“Reskinned” if you’ve actually played the game and got the new loot, its new models and designs with three VERY different exotics
-
2 RespuestasThis is what happens when they run out of cut content from D1....... they re-release actual D1 pvp maps, bosses and areas...... copy paste D1 story mission boards and throw in some ambiguous "story" and pointlessly over egged SF tropes and voila...... Shadowkeep time!!

Nobody cares.

ME, ME, ME....BLAH, BLAH, BLAH....WALL OF TEXT....WAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

I've just returned 2 days ago and I'm loving it. Got loads to do but it gets a bit confusing sometimes

Reading that made my eyes go cross eyed....paragraphs are nice. Can’t be that bad you have sunk plenty of hours since SK has dropped . It’s funny it’s like most of the community are just waiting for someone to write something negative so they can jump on the wagon ...the same usual people add their same repeated complaints and moaning .
-
Im just tired of Bungie forcing crucible down my throat, and the crucible shit ALWAYS takes the longest and requires the most grinding too, conveniently.
-
I agree with Destiny feeling like a chore. It’s the reason why I haven’t bought Shadowkeep. I’ll still log in from time to time to tool around in the crucible but grinding weapons and materials is just something I’m not going to do right now.
-
Sounds like a you problem.
-
Sounds like you did not even play the new expansion.
-
Raid is worth $20 alone to me. As long as there's a raid, I'm buying.

7 RespuestasPossibly the coolest story ever, tell us more please.

Water is wet, Sky is blue, People will whine about infusion. The world spins on.

8 Respuestas
I really wish they'd just do a hard reboot what's a destiny 3 already and decide once and for all what the hell they're doing with this thing.
Best thing they could do is sell it to another developer that isn't into world of warcraft. Borderlands proved you could make a fun game that's looter/shooter with no grind. Let someone take this story and make it into something awesome. They have such a great foundation but then it's ruined with all the boring chore grinds. Could be such an amazing action game like Halo, Gears or Borderlands. I even hear most streamers except datto complain about "ugghhh... back to more grind to get that one fomo thing."

9 RespuestasTheir mistake is listening to the self entitled streamers Instead they should be listening to the general public

Ill second the nonsense chore base systems. Reskinning things and calling it content... again... and again... is not actual content.
