I came back and I am not impressed.

I played all of Destiny 1 and have enjoyed Destiny 2 here and there but quit after infusion became a tedious chore for no reason making the game became a relatively joyless chore. So I quit and went on to other things for over a year with only a couple of exceptions just to play with friends. So here we are with Bungie away from Activision.... and it looks like the hype-train got the best of the community once again. I am not impressed to say the least. The majority of the content is recycled and feels uninspired and the overall vibe feels more like an early expansion like curse of Osiris what's a generic storyline and then abrupt non ending to The Campaign. I paid $35 for a setup to future content. There's loads that I wasn't able to try before because I wasn't willing to do the tedious grindworx, but as a standalone, this expansion is way underwhelming. I like some of the RPG elements but you can't experiment with builds because you still have to infuse everything with countless materials and Quest just to try new things out. It's a baby step in the right direction at Fest and at worst it's just more of the same which is Bungie still looking for its identity with Destiny. My wheat pennies. I really wish they'd just do a hard reboot what's a destiny 3 already and decide once and for all what the hell they're doing with this thing. The content is all there and they just keep cluttering up with nonsense chore based systems that make progression yawn inducing.
