Just wondering what everyone’s experience is so far.
I’m an average player. I’ve never hit legend and never expect too. I always stay around the fabled 2-3 mark.
I seem to be going up against ALOT of 5,500 players in solo que. which based on the technology of “trueskill” for me personally it doesn’t seem to work as it should.
Thoughts? Can anyone enlighten me on why I’m fighting these high level players?

It’s seems like bull shit to me. Once everyone hits 3000 the system should have a good idea about everyone’s skill. Well somehow I’m consistently getting potatoes on my team. Like 1-2 kills a match while wasting 18 lives in the process potatoes. On top of that I’ve been lucky a few times and got a 4 win streak but when when the potatoes show up and I lose it takes 2-3 away from my win streak.

I unfortunately played better in solo than I did with my friends. In solo I was much more consistently matched with other players near my skill, whereas when with my friends it seemed like there were 5500 skill or unbroken players in near every game. None of us are that good, no one in my fireteam has ever made Legend in comp. It made for a lot of frustrating matchups that had no impact; every match we played against unbroken players, I only lost 4-6 glory, so the game knows it's giving us crappy matchups. What was boggling was that it KEPT DOING THAT, instead of matching us with more skill-equivalent players.

1 RespuestaLoved it at first, now kinda eh. Obviously it's a bit better than what it was. Solo'd to 3300 and now it's just a constant back and forth can't get passed fabled 3. As I've been loading into every match I've been checking the roster to see what people are using and stuff, if I see a ton of sweats with gold medal emblems rocking oem, mountain top/recluse or NF, they're all on the opposing team. when I see the more random loadout or stuff that's just not that good (I.e bows for some reason??) they're always on my team. It's like clockwork.

2 RespuestasYour glory doesn’t matter anymore. You can match higher glory players. But if you do and win your glory will jump by a lot. If you lose to that same team it won’t drop near as harsh as before. If you lose glory at all if you did good during said game. You obviously can also play lower glory players. If you win you’ll obviously go up but it won’t be near as much. If you lose to them and do badly you’re going to lose more glory. In other words it’s not glory based. It’s not even skill based. It’s a “True Skill” scoring system. An algorithm that grades not only wins and loses but how you do as an individual player. It’s also moving those better players up the ranks faster. So you’re less likely to see the same teams again until you start to plateau. The Great Players are reaching Legend in a matter of hours now instead of days. For the above average players it may take a day or two. For average players you might get there via teams but chances are you’re going to plateau then start to drop off. For below average players it will be easier to get to fabled to earn pinnacle/ Ritual Weapons. This is just my interpretation of the new Glory System and what I’ve heard from great players I trust. Take it as you will. Good Luck!

3 RespuestasI have no clue what happened to matchmaking in comp but it is a shitshow IMO. I could comfortably hold my own while playing solo against previous matchmaking, while here evert match is a sweatfest, I hate it.
-
It doesnt seem different in the normal cue. Soloing seems pretty well balanced. I've played a few games so far and it seems like a good place to advance without the aggravation of facing stacked teams
-
4 RespuestasIt's easy mode Went from 0-5500 within a night, 3vs3 is much better
-
"True skill" my ass. I am in no way good enough to even hold a candle to the people it keeps putting on the opponents team. It took me I think 13 games and switching to Titan before I could even crop a win. And even then I never won the five games afterwars.
-
It’s super awesome legend players will get to legend in under a day or two so your true skill is where you will end up and stay
-
3 RespuestasIf you want an easier experience go in, be a potato for a couple matches, and go up a rank, be mediocre during your matches. If you notice good players go back to being a potato.
-
Idk if true skill is working but i can tell you comp is way more fun 3v3 and having a solo option
-
12 Respuestas“True skill”, doesn’t matchmake you with similar opponents. It accelerates progress more the higher your skill so better players climb up ranks faster. That’s it.
-
It's been days, but I managed to claw my way to Brave 2.

Editado por Ghostfire239: 10/7/2019 5:15:54 PMYeah ever since I hit fabled 3 I’ve been getting matched with people that are way out of my league. I don’t mind it too much since it’s a good way to learn how to play better but it does get annoying sometimes I don’t really want NF that badly but this is the closest I’ve been in a while and a part of me wants to make the push.
-
I’ve been getting matched up with some pretty sweaty people. Not sure if it’s due to this or not. Same ole comp. I can’t complain, just need to get better.
-
It’s so ez their season, I’ve been told you match with ELO now. So I’ve just been up against people with no thumbs only lost like 5 games out of like 47

“Trueskill” to me is everyone having the same exact weapons/equipment and seeing what you can do on an equal playing field. Having a significantly better gun is a big part of why better players do so well... NOT all of it but a part of it. Give a good player a well rolled weapon and he will dominate but give a good player a poorly rolled weapon and he will slip up.
-
Last night I reached Mythic 1. I have never reached this rank; I have never gotten past Fabled 1 seasons prior. So is my "true skill" much higher than I anticipated? Apparently the game believes so. Hopefully, this will carry me to Legend.
-
7 RespuestasIf anyone fancies helping me get to legend just once on PS4 that would be appreciated. I literally collected all other exclusive comp weapons including Redrix’s claymore. Not forgotten is the only one I need to obtain. *shrug* doesn’t hurt to ask. I just wanna collect all the weapons

1 RespuestaA friend of mine was playing comp and lost. He was at the top of his team, so he only lost 10 Glory. I'd say that's a good system.
-
2 RespuestasWhat changes are there to the glory system? I barely got to fabled last season, and was wondering if I should attempt the full climb to legend? I will be in solo mode!
-
I started my glory grind by getting put against 2 people already at 4k glory. However, after losing one then winning the next 4-5 i was sitting at 1200ish glory. It then took me around 4-5 more hours with a buddy to get to legend again. As far as im concerned the matchmaking is great in favor of good players right now and not so great for players who are at a skill level of fabled and below.

4 RespuestasEditado por livin like larry: 10/7/2019 1:17:27 PMComp is easier than its ever been in my opinion. I went from brave 3 to mythic 3 in one day lol. Didn’t really match too many unbroken or 5500 players. There were a few here and there but the matches were pretty good for the most part. Played in the solo playlist almost all day yesterday and only lost like maybe 4 or 5 games? It was pretty chill
-
1 RespuestaI went from brave to fabled yesterday, and I had a good time. I felt the higher rank I got, the better skilled players there were. I still think they were players closer to my rank/skill level. I ran in to a few players with Luna’s and recluse, but no one too over the top.

Editado por l Cadi l: 10/7/2019 3:35:57 PMive been a fabled "god" (in the absolute loosest sense of the word) for too long, ive stomped my way there with ease the last 3 seasons and carried a few clanmates to fabled on an alt as well. end of last season me and my team mate decided to see how far we could get and ended up in the win one lose one cycle around 34-3500 till we hopped into borderlands to catch a break. yesterday we tried to 2 man in the team playlist and lost 5 matches in a row to people with nfs, and 5k+ on their emblems already. i blame it mostly on us being in a 2 stack and having to pray to the rng gods for a cooperative team mate(ques also took ages due to a lack of solo players so it may have been widening the skill range for our 3rd), kinda just took fighting people at that level and staying positive or close as a compliment from bungies algorythm. then i hopped into the solo playlist and rocketed from 200 to 4000. enemy skill level seemed to stay at a similar level but it was a noticable change in my team mates. now with the finish line almost in sight my only advice is dont go in the team pllaylist with less than 3 people. you will not have a good time, though once i do hit 5500 i plan on hopping in solo to get practice with different team playstyles and maybe help some people out with getting a more team oriented blueberry. and i think my alt is going to be rerired, because its win rate from carrying clanmates is sitting at 75% and i dont think it will be doing anyone any favors with the new matchmaking system. but thats a good thing imo, really shows that bumgie is helping the weaker players by getting sweats out of their way so they can actually learn and improve.

My record was fabled 1, but for some reason i m constatntly getting matchmade with unbrokens.
