Look hate Datto all you want he plays this game a lot therefore his opinion should be viewed as an opinion from someone who has a large amount of experience in the game world. Not that his opinion should be the end all be all opinion for this game, but he knows what he is talking about.

1 RespuestaI played on Xbox since D1 beta and just recently switched to PC. PVE isnt any easier. I've just noticed a higher caliber of players when i LFG.

What I find funny is people get exotics they like and Bungie just nerfs them into the ground then months later Bungie posts about no one using exotic weapons.

1 RespuestaEditado por Maskerader: 9/7/2019 6:15:07 PMYou can make your game more challenging even on PC. Pick not-META guns, wear underleveled armor, play with only a half of your team.

Editado por Kouz_MC: 9/6/2019 9:55:55 PMTruth is without publisher, Bungie has to work with streamers to get more visibility. I also don’t think that Bungie listens to them. Instead I believe Bungie asks them to introduce future nerfs. Last but not least, I think we have to be fool to believe that Bungie nerf buff and the like patches weapons or exotics as experience or feedback grows or whiners complain. The content calendar of Bungie includes a patch strategy to shift the metas whilst not delivering any new content. It’s actually smart. Anyone who played D1 will notice a similar evolution of patches and meta. Ofc whisper went through the exact same series of patch, this is obvious to most, but wecan extend this to actual types of guns, looking at auto rifle for example, how they dominated Y1, then disappear, and will probably return later in Y3. There are other examples. It could be ok if there was significant new content too, and returning weapons and exotics. It’s not really ok the way it is.

This stuff will only get him more views on YouTube. Which will make him more money. I also I would not be surprised if it even helps get him some viewers.

1 RespuestaEditado por dano the hippie: 9/6/2019 9:05:08 PMI am not even sure Datto enjoys playing Destiny. I dont hate the guy or anyone i just dont know if he is the chosen one that some people thinks he is. I wouldn’t take his opinions on the game as gospel.

2 RespuestasI just don't understand people who complain about PvE being 'too easy'... all the while using OP gear and strats. Not saying that it's not an issue of Bungie putting in OP things into the game and allowing power creep in the first place but definitely, no one is stopping PvE players from _not_ using an OP gun, strategy, tactics, etc. Whereas in PvP, there is no option to counter many of these OP things in the game, which is what forces a restrictive meta, because if there is even one person in a match playing the meta, you're forced to also use the meta or be at a substantial disadvantage. In PvE, the choice is yours: YOU, the player, get to choose what you use against really badly programmed Artificial (non-)Intelligence. :P Do what I do with PvE: wear crappy gear and die repeatedly until I go back to QuickPlay. ;)

1 RespuestaI like how Bungie has thrown him under the bus. At any point after that twab came out they could have said he was just used as a small example for what they were wanting to do with upcoming changes. I know they see the outrage thrown at him but they are keeping quiet about it. To me that sends a clear message to the streamers.

2 RespuestasI agree with what he said about raid encounters being very formulaic.. I like challenging content, but not so challenging as to alienate lots of people. That's why challenge modes work so well, and things like flawless raiding. Take Scourge. Yes, it's a relatively easy raid for people who raid often. Not so easy to learn at first if you arent a competent raider. But easy to master. But it isnt easy to achieve Blacksmith...u nless you're Datto and friends I guess........ Take Wrath. Same thing. It was relatively easy to learn normal and very difficult for some to do challenge. But Bungie probably thinks it is too much work to produce normal and hard/challenge especially with their raid lead gone. Hard means more spongey enemies....that's it.

Ride the short bus???

The issue I have is theres no reason. These things cant exists side by side. The normal mode raids in D1, had mode and challenge mode are examples of how to handle it. D2 and the continuing March to gear the end game for such a small group when the replayable content is so thin is terrible. I am giving up on endgame. I used to sherpa through D1 and lfg all the content...but I'm sick of it now. I dont know who the game is for now? Math class and Gladd I guess...
