Once again Warlocks get the shaft

No, I'm not talking about Well of Radiance and Lunafaction boots. That was a long time coming and we all knew that it would happen. I'm talking about the "slight tweaks" to Well of Radiance and Nova Bomb's damage resistance in PvP. Have any of you dingleberries that work for Bungie EVER play tested these two in PvP?? You can EASILY get shot out of the sky using Nova Bomb. Now it'll be even easier! Oh hi there Blade Barrage; I see you didn't lose nearly as much damage resistance as you should of. Well of Radiance? This has got to be The Worse Super for PvP activities. It's a Healing Rift and an Empowering Rift with a big fat Off switch right smack dab in the middle of it. It provides very very little protection and ANYONE can instantly delete you with one high impact fusion blast or a sniper round/precision shotgun hit to the dome. I've killed people in a well using a scout rifle. A scout rifle!! Now you're REDUCING the damage resistance?! Are you all mental?! I know you have this planned and there isn't anything I can do to make your company think twice about the changes. But I implore you to reverse these ASAP.

        A serious warlcoks rant from a pvp perspective. It's no secret that warlocks are the least played class since d1. Not saying we're useless in pvp and things aren't good I feel gimped unless I play Titan or Hunter which by the way have dominated crucible. When something gets nerfed or re adusted the whole thing gets nuked. Time after Time everything about warlocks are neglected each twab proves that. Whenever warlocks are in the twab they get the least amount of buffs and the most amount of nerfs. Why is it warlocks since d2 have the slowest base melee speed when they're all the same range. Why is it warlocks have the shortest melee range and the slowest melee in the game? It's bad enough we have the worst jumps in the game and we're the slowest. (Top Tree Daybreak) For a class focused on in air combat it surely hinders you in doing so. Why is it that hunters are better then an entire subclass centered on in air combat? For me to reduce some sort of in air accuracy penalty I need to get a melee hit in. Gee I hope I don't run into a shotgunner. The in air accuracy penalty from getting a melee in from Swift Strike is almost unnoticeable. Which nothing suspendeds you more in the air the a warlocks jump. Which an Icarus grip you see results instantly the moment boots leave the ground. If only swift strike could also be activated from grenade hits as we we might actually see something there. Don't forget you have to make use of the worst jumps in the game both strafe or balanced jump which hinders the function of daybreak since it moves faster with burst. Which top tree doesn't grant tracking or extend duration. Icarus dash as one of the worst cooldowns in the game. 7 solid seconds to a dash that grants no additional effects which by the way feels like an eternity. It's not like icarus dash can make me go invis, break aim assist, condense my hit box, reload my gun, or give me an entire melee charge. The only thing top tree has is cooldown to melee and grenade when getting kills in the air Well of Radiance is getting a damage resistance nerf which makes no sense btw. It's not like I'm over here tanking everything like the good ole ward of dawn. Currently one shot from any slug shotgun will put you down, one sniper head shot puts you down so does high impact fusions and precision frame. But wait there's more. pulses and scoutsi can put you down. it's okay I'm a wide open target for anyone in the crucible. I see an enemy well I challenge it I see ward of dawn forget. I Feel safer impaling someone with the sword thrust walking away and playing the rest of the map then I do standing in a well. daybreak) Bottom tree if it does get nerfed or changed then it's unless. The super is the only thing going for it. There's no neutral play whatsoever! Phoenix dive is utterly useless in and out of super. When someone hears daybreak you betcha everyone is gonna run not sit there waiting for you to slam on top of them. Which has a long animation btw. Phoenix Dive out of supers has no purpose it has been nerfed the same time Wormhusk did as it literally grants the same effect. It literally doesn't matter how high up you go there's a cap now to health restoration. But it's okay I can use it every 5 seconds after floating in the air just to fall slower then the jump cancel of a regular warlocks jump. All it has is pve gimmicks fall down faster, turn vertical lifts into a poormans bounce house and not take fall damage. chaos reach) still blinds the user all while having one of the lowest damage resistances. You'd think that being suspended and trapped in the air youd have a good fighting chance. Wrong you get shutdown effortlessly. if and only if ionic blink was tied to a jump option and not trapped on top tree stormcaller since we invented blink. Then this would benefit this super a lot. Cast chaos reach blink change direction once blink animation is done continue chaos reach. top tree stormcaller) The only thing wrong with it is jump cancels your attack which makes no sense as every other roaming super doesn't penalize you for jumping. Feedback should replace ionic blink. Ionic blink replaces either strafe or balanced glide. bottom tree stormcaller) Electrostatic Surge lost what made it viable back in d1. I don't care for the rift cooldown nor the super cooldown but enemies nearby when stormcaller is active would take damage giving it more offensive and defensive capabilities. Bottom tree is also effected by the jump cancelation of stormtrance top tree nova bomb) chaos Accelerant doesn't work with charging scatter grenades. a charged scatter grenade should perform like the same benefits granted from nothing manacles. Which was Entropic pull) grants a grenade cooldown from melee awesome so does impact momentum transfer which doesn't stack btw. It needs an additional perk tied to it. Entropic pull melee hits cool down nova bomb. nova warp) atomic breach melee isn't applying neither effects of Knock back or detonation which deaths that should be a trade are not. or the I'll just flat out lose the melee charge off of it to not have any effects. When nova warp super ends I can't fire my gun. I have to pull the trigger twice to be able to engage with my weapons. uncharged blasts from nova warp do little to no damage as well as the radius is inconsistent. This is also a huge disadvantage considering it's our best attack to deal with other roaming supers otherwise I need to charge up then detonate which the enemy has more then enough time to strike mutiple times. Bottom Tree nova bomb) No secret is the worse shutdown super in the game. The moment I toss it gravity instantly takes effect. Yes it getting a buff what's this the 4th buff and it's still Will most likely be trash. Feed the void and devour need both of it's effects combined under one perk. Bloodthirst) Kills while devour is active grant increased melee speed, movement speed and weapon speed. Stays active until devour ends. Will only proc from a melee kill or from your first enemy defeated I've you've read this I appreciate that. You might not agree but I'm sick an tired of warlocks being so pve driven and never getting buffs or beneficial changes. The only changes we seem to get are drastic nerfs.

        • Not too mention 1 pulse nade counters well of radiance its kinda mental lol I just use it to cheese a 1v1 or make orbs i never really use it to try and get a bunch of kills its just too risky, its a magnet for cooldowns and supers. Mind you the neutral game more than makes up for the bad super.

        • I think Warlocks are in a good spot. Pvp you got Dawn blade which is an amazing roaming super. Pair that with the exotic that autoreloads energy weapons when you sprint and you're laughing.

          • 3 changes is like to see but probably won't happen. 1. Get rid of WoR and replace it with Sunsinger. It's main support perk being Song of Flame, which boosts recovery and ability Regen for all players. 2. Replace vortex with Shatter bomb. 3. Buff Dawnblade pve damage instead of making it last for 3 hrs.

            • I know I might get shit for saying some stuff even though I don’t have a warlock class but. Warlocks are a class you need to stay still and use long range guns. I have a friend who loves using his warlock and does really good in pvp. When I had a warlock i used a sniper and stayed in the back and was somewhat on top of the scoreboard. There are many problems that the warlock has or is receiving but another problem is how this meta keeps going. It’s nothing but fast pace with shotguns, handcannons, fusions rifles, and grenade launchers. There’s snipers but I hardly see any and when I do if they don’t get enough kills or keep dying they switch the recluse and shotgun and start rushing everyone. Warlocks are good and all but your right on many reasons. But I think warlocks are design to stay in the back and use long range weapons. We just need bigger maps to help with it

            • That’s why Warlock is no longer my go to character. Hunter and Titan are both better than Warlock. That’s been the case most of D2’s life.

              • Im getting tired of Warlocks getting shitted on. [u]Only exotics worth using[/u] - nerf [u]The other exotics[/u] - busy collecting dust because they're either too weak or too boring and have no synergy with subclasses. [u]Armor[/u] - mainly garbage or another freaking dress [u]Abilities..[/u] what are those again? Oh yea that one shotgun grenade we have.... awesome... [u]Melees[/u] - weak and slow, get ready for self harm. My favorite part on being a Warlock is placing a healing rift as slowly as possible to die.... so others can revive you. Much of the fun we are supposedly to be having..

                  • Idk man you can throw nova bomb right next to you and you won’t die, but throw blade barage next to you in crucible and your dead. I sniped a warlock in the head after he casted nova bomb but it does not one shot. You can shoot golden gun in the leg with a shotgun or snipe it in the body twice and it will die regardless.

                    • From a Titan main that had to go Warlock main to be remotely of use in D2, Warlocks haven't been shafted that hard. Titans are getting a buff to 1 class and becoming useless in the best class of hammer debuff. Not to mention losing rally barricades.

                    • Your well argument is understandable, but it seems to be the tradeoff for being about to shoot out of it. Its a hybrid between bubble and offense, which means youre still very much mortal while in it. Idk what to say other than it might just be a bad super to use in pvp due to its general design. If it was too protective, it'd be OP, but instead its underwhelming. As for novabomb, thundercrash is in the same situation which is a bummer.

                    • 1) Super damage resistance is only for the super duration. So this means that for well, the healing, and overshield will be the same, but [u]WHILE[/u] your placing the super, you have less damage resistance than before 2) You think novas hard to kill? Try thundercrash, which also got a nerf, and is in the same tier as nova. With nova, you throw it, and then can run behind cover to heal, and wait for it to track to them, and delete them. With thundercrash, you activate it, which takes about the time the whole nova animation does, then you fly TOWARS THEM, IN THE DAMN LINE OF FIRE You sure it was warlocks that got the shaft?

                        • Honestly I wish they would completely rework the super to be similar to sunsinger in d1 and the new titan bubble. If you want well you hold down the super button if you want sunsinger damage resistance 1 shot sticky and melee and infinite grenades for a short time. Rework the melee to not only give you and allies a empowered buff but also grant flame shield for the user just like d1.

                          • Where are warlock buffs Every new patch warlocks get a bulletpoint for buffs and everyone else gets a page They never get nerfed cause they never get buffed but when they do nerf warlocks there is a whole 20 pages about it like nova warp when it got nerfed into the ground
